Hello everyone! I hope you had a good week, as you know we are in the month of December, which means for many people family togetherness and good food hahahahahaha.
For me it means that and other things because I'm in my final exams at the university and that has me a little worried. Anyway, to clear my mind I wanted to look for something new to watch and I came across a new Netflix film, 7 prisoners.

Para mí significa eso y otras cosas porque estoy en exámenes finales de la universidad y eso me tiene un poco preocupada. En fin, para despejar mi mente quise buscar algo nuevo para ver y me encontré con un film nuevo de Netflix, 7 prisioneros.
Normally I'm not a big fan of watching Latin American movies because most of them lack resources, there's always something missing, such as a good setting, music and other things that make you lose the excitement of the plot.
However, this time I took a chance because I saw very good reviews.
7 Prisoners is a Brazilian film, directed by Alexandre Moratto and released on Netflix on November 5. It tells the story of a group of teenagers who due to the shortages decide to seek a better future, but what is the price of that future?
Normalmente no soy muy fan de ver películas latinoamericanas porque en su mayoría por falta de recursos siempre falta algo, como buena ambientación, música y otras cosas que te hacen perderle la emoción a la trama.
Sin embargo en está ocasión me arriesgué porque vi muy buenas criticas.
7 prisioneros es una película de origen brasileño, dirigida por Alexandre Moratto y estrenada en Netflix el 5 de Noviembre. Narra la historia de un grupo de adolescentes que debido a las carencias deciden buscar un futuro mejor, pero ¿Cuál es el precio de ese Futuro?
It is centered on our main character Mateus who is a boy who lives on the outskirts of the city in a kind of low-income rural house. Next to him lives his mother and his younger sisters, so the main breadwinner is his mother.
In the midst of desperation to help his home, Mateus embarks on a journey without knowing much of the whereabouts and blinded by the ambition to grow arrives at a landfill in Sao Paulo.

Mi primera impresión de la película es algo que de una u otra manera ya me imaginaba, la esclavitud en pleno siglo XXI, un grupo de personas trabajando sin cesar en condiciones precarias dónde la autoridad no existe porque se lleva una buena tajada de la situación.

Una deuda interminable que no tiene fin de ser cancelada, miles de personas vendidas bajo un tráfico que parece no acabar, y cuándo te ofrecen algo mejor aceptas sin pensar porque negarse sería volver al mismo lugar, sería volver a ser uno más y no uno de ellos, en pocas palabras pasas de ser la victima al victimario.
Ambition in this movie plays an important role, they make you believe that you are in that privileged place where you can get better food and a better bed to sleep in exchange for following the roulette.
You have the option to leave but you don't, you get used to think like them, to be like them, and from that moment where your body and mind no longer belong to you because you are under a kind of hypnosis, you lose all that freedom you longed to have to become just another employer who gets a "good cut".
Clearly we know that like any network there is a main leader, usually linked to politics and good relationships where no one can know who he is, we are talking about the host who moves the whole board and the chips only play their role of moving.
La ambición en está película juega un papel importante, te hacen creer que estás en ese lugar privilegiado dónde puedes conseguir mejor comida y mejor cama para dormir a cambio de seguir la ruleta.
Tienes la opción de salir pero no lo haces, te acostumbras a pensar como ellos, a ser como ellos, y desde ese momento dónde tu cuerpo y tu mente ya no te pertenecen porque estás bajo una especie de hipnosis, pierdes toda aquella libertad que añorabas tener para convertirte en solo un empleador más que saca una "buena tajada".
Claramente sabemos que como toda red existe un líder principal, normalmente ligado a la política y buenas relaciones dónde nadie puede saber quién es, hablamos del anfitrión que mueve todo el tablero y las fichas solo cumplen su papel de moverse.
Cheap labor, people with a lot of purchasing power wanting to amass their fortune based on people who just want to progress. I do not know if at some point everything we see brings a real moral and I say this because these are movies that do not have a happy ending, neither in the plot nor in real life and the only thing I can see is people wanting to shout to the 4 winds Help! without any success.
People trying to survive in a world full of corrupt people, where the benefits do not exist, everything they give you has a price, there is no way to return and anyway in a balance outside and inside is the same hell.
This movie has shown me many things, from making me feel vulnerable to understand each character and know why he took them there, to hate each one that participates in the network, I think it is impossible not to have empathy towards the victims.
God, sometimes I firmly believe that these people are never going to be rescued, we don't know if at some point they reduce the number of people or simply increase and in one way or another those who move the network always win.
It sounds super crazy, but behind each character there is a need that of course does not drive them to commit such acts but somehow or other makes them survive the life they have been given full of shortcomings.
This film has made my hair stand on end since I started watching it until I finished, it is a film that traps you to the point of not losing sight of things and keep watching without falling into monotony. Undoubtedly it is a movie worth seeing, I recommend it to you with a closed eye and you will not regret it.
Mano de obra barata, gente con mucho poder adquisitivo queriendo amasar su fortuna en base a gente que sólo quiere progresar. No sé si en algún punto todo lo que vemos trae una moraleja real y lo digo porque estás son películas que no tienen un final feliz, ni en la trama ni en la vida real y lo único que puedo observar es gente queriendo gritar a los 4 vientos ¡Auxilio! sin éxito alguno.
Gente intentando sobrevivir en un mundo lleno de corruptos, dónde los beneficios no existen, todo aquello que te otorgan tiene un precio, no hay manera de regresar y de todas maneras en una balanza afuera y adentro es el mismo infierno.
Está película me ha demostrado muchas cosas, desde hacerme sentir vulnerable hasta entender a cada personaje y saber el porque los llevó ahí, hasta odiar a cada uno que participa en la red, creo que es imposible no tener empatía hacía las victimas.
Dios, a veces creo firmemente que estás personas nunca van a ser rescatadas, no sabemos si en algún punto reducen las personas o simplemente aumentan y de una u otra manera siempre salen ganando quienes mueven la red.
Suena súper loco, pero detrás de cada personaje hay una necesidad que por supuesto no los impulsa a cometer este tipo de actos pero de alguna u otra manera los hace sobrevivir a la vida que se les ha otorgado llena de carencias.
Está película me ha puesto los pelos de punta desde que empecé a verla hasta que terminé, es una película que te atrapa hasta el punto de no perder la visión de las cosas y seguir observando sin caer en la monotonía. Sin duda es una película que vale la pena ver, se las recomiendo a ojo cerrado y no se arrepentirán.

The plot of this movie looks good, I like that little bit of social criticism in the story and that it is from Latin America. There are good movies made in Latin America, give it a chance and look for more movies, there is a great variety from different countries that are very good.
I see you have been a bit away from the platform, because of studies... work.... well, I hope you will be more active again.

Sometimes I think that, I just haven't come across good Latin American films that would catch my attention enough to stay until the end, but like everything else there is no generalism, it's just a matter of knowing how to choose.
That's right, I've been a little busy because of college and exams, but little by little I'm trying to make time and be more active.
