personally I don't consider the film to be bad, however I didn't like that it was a musical, even more so because it is something they omitted to show in the trailer (to make sure that the majority of the public, who by the way don't like musicals, will still buy a ticket) it has good features, however, the 2007 film is more enjoyable and Johnny Deep was more faithful to the Wonka of the book, charismatic, with a black sense of humour and some mystery, however a normal person who earned his achievements with talent and science

My friend said the exact same thing. She didnt know it was a musical so it was caught a little off-guard, luckily she ok with that.
Yes! I agree that Depp‘s Wonka is more faithful to the book and I like that he has a depth of multicomplex genius within him.
