Un disfraz para Nicolas es una película animada de origen mexicana realizada por Fotosintesis Media en coproducción con PÉEK-PAAX Animation Studios y trata sobre Nicolás, un niño con síndrome de Down que, por situaciones personales, tiene que irse a vivir a casa de sus abuelos y de su primo David. Ya en casa de sus abuelos tendrá que aprender a convivir con su primo al mismo tiempo que se embarcará en una aventura mágica, gracias a los disfraces que su madre solía hacerle.
A costume for Nicolas is an animated film made by mexican Fotosintesis Media in co-production with PÉEK-PAAX Animation Studios and it is about Nicolás, a boy with Down syndrome who, due to personal situations, has to go live with his grandparents and his cousin David. Once at his grandparents' house, he will have to learn to live with his cousin at the same time he embarks on a magical adventure, thanks to the costumes his mother used to make for him.
Estos disfraces ayudan a Nicolas, le dan seguridad para abrirse al mundo y mostrarse como es ante los demás. Después de tener que ir a vivir con sus abuelos y su primo que está en la preadolescencia, esta edad particular en las que tiene sus propios problemas y ahora tiene que forzarse a convivir con su primo, Nicolás, el cual también tiene que adaptarse a la escuela, a la familia nueva, prácticamente a su nueva vida… de eso va la película.
These costumes help Nicolas, they give him security to open up to the world and show himself as he is to others. After having to go live with his grandparents and his cousin who is in preadolescence, this particular age in which he has his own problems and now has to force himself to live with his cousin, Nicolás, who also has to adapt to the school, the new family, practically his new life… that's what the movie is about.
Trata un tema complicado, un tema delicado de exponer pero que todo el equipo de Fotosintesis Media lo logró hacer de una manera espectacular… Creo que es una película super importante, la cual está llevada de forma muy bien y en manos de las personas equivocadas pudo haber terminando siendo una película muy incómoda, pero no… Este filme es un cuento precioso que enseña mucho sobre inclusión, creer en ti mismo, tus sueños, tiene un tema familiar precioso. Es una película muy emotiva, desde que comencé a verla ya tenia la lágrima lista para salir.

En el apartado visual nos encontramos con paisajes coloridos y variados; la paleta de colores y el trazo de tiza sientan muy bien a la producción; lograron evitar errores comunes que suelen suceder o verse a simple vista al usar dichas técnicas, aunque he de admitir que los colores muy saturados hacen que los personajes se pierdan un poco con el fondo.
In the visual section we find colorful and varied landscapes; the color palette and the chalk line suit the production very well; They managed to avoid common mistakes that are often seen or can be seen by the naked eye when using these techniques, although I have to admit that the very saturated colors make the characters lose themselves in the background.
Los personajes que van apareciendo, a pesar de ser muchos, logran tener su personalidad sin ser demasiado invasivos; tenemos a la niña del mundo mágico, el pirata, el vaquero sonriente y muchos más, siento que a todos les puedes sacar algo, todos logran aportar a la narrativa de la historia que, eso sí, siempre mantiene a Nicolás como protagonista.
The characters that appear, despite being many, manage to have their own personality without being too invasive; We have the girl from the magical world, the pirate, the smiling cowboy and many more, I feel you can get something from everyone, they all manage to contribute to the narrative of the story that, yes, always keeps Nicolás as the protagonist.
El Voice Acting es digno de recibir aplausos, es muy pero que muy bueno, so sólo Fran Fernández (voz de Nicolás) quien es un niño maravilloso con síndrome de Down, todos los demás son actores de doblaje de renombre en américa latina como Carlos Segundo (Voz de Piccolo, 1era voz de Woody, Alf), Magda Giner (voz de Uranai Baba, Invasor Zim, Srta. Simian y Carmen del Increible Mundo de Gumball), e inclusive también tenemos a la gran artista mexicana Paty Cantú.
Voice Acting is worthy of applause, It’s very, very good, not only Fran Fernández (voice of Nicolás) who is a wonderful child with Down syndrome, but all the others are renowned voice actors in Latin America like Carlos Segundo (Voice of Piccolo, 1st voice of Woody, Alf), Magda Giner (voice of Uranai Baba, Invader Zim, Miss Simian and Carmen from the Amazing World of Gumball), and we also have the great Mexican artist Paty Cantú.
Hecha para el disfrute de toda la familia, y aunque es claramente un filme para niños, le da una voz más a personas tan especiales que conviven con nosotros y que de seguro más de uno tiene un familiar (como es mi caso), mostrándonos que ellos pueden ser incluso más capaces, amables y amorosos que muchas otras personas. Me conmovió desde el principio y aún mas al final a los créditos ya que te muestran escenas de cómo fue la grabación de la voz de Nicolás, sin duda alguna un trabajo muy hermoso.
Made for the enjoyment of the whole family, and although it is clearly a film for children, it gives one more voice to such special people who live with us and that surely more than one has a relative (as is my case), showing us that they can be even more capable, kind, and loving than many other people. It moved me from the beginning and even more at the end to the credits since they show you scenes of how the recording of Nicolás's voice was, without a doubt a very beautiful work.
Como es costumbre en mis publicaciones, trato de exponer mi experiencia sin incluir spoiler alguno y siempre termino quedando con ganas de contarles más y más, pero no quiero ser un villano y arruinarles tan linda historia. Sin más que decir, me despido con el gran mensaje que nos deja esta maravillosa obra de la animación mexicana.

Parece un film muy bonito y con un mensaje importante que dar, la inclusión de las personas especiales es algo vital pero que la sociedad parece no darle importancia.No se si viste la peli española Campeones, te la recomiendo, es una comedia, pero con un gran mensaje de superación y un llamado de atención a la sociedad para que le demos la importancia que merecen a las personas especiales.
En efecto, así es @jcrodriguez, me atrevo a decir que son contados con una mano los filmes o series que he visto que tratan esos temas... No, no he visto esa peli pero muchas gracias por la recomendación, la buscaré!
