I do think there'e some depth in this movie. I've watched it twice and I could notice different things each time. I agree with you on not feeling a strong chemistry between Dakota Johnsson and Chris Evans, but the movie feels more as a criticism against what can be called a capitalist modern love and reflects on how brutal it is for men to find a partner when they don't have enough money (in words of Song, not mine). It's not as good as Past Lives, but I do think this movie is better than most people think.
