Soy madre (2019) película que entra en el género de ciencia ficción y suspenso. Y la verdad es que para mi criterio quedó en deuda con el suspenso ya que es una película bastante predecible en su argumento y con un tema que hemos visto tantas y tantas veces que superarlo, crear algo nuevo y distinto no es tarea fácil. Sin embargo, la película tiene un contenido resaltable, un mensaje que puede generar una reflexión, eso siempre es bienvenido y motivo suficiente para hacer una reseña.
Basada en el guion de Michael Lloyd Green es dirigida por Grant Sputore y protagonizada por 3 actrices: Rose Byrne (voz) en el rol de la madre robot, Clara Rugaard en el papel de la Hija y la ganadora, en dos oportunidades del Óscar como mejor actriz y otros premios, Hilary Swank, en el papel de la extraña que aparece para romper las creencias de Hija, desencadenar y develar incógnitas.
El argumento de la película es que ha ocurrido la destrucción masiva de la humanidad a causa de ¿Un virus o en manos de los robots? Trama de la película
La humanidad ha desaparecido y ha quedado una inteligencia artificial (madre) encargada de echar andar una nueva humanidad en el momento que considere oportuno, con un tipo de persona diferente en cuanto al aspecto ético que evite la autodestrucción completa de la especie humana. A lo largo de la película vamos viendo cómo se va desarrollando la formación de ese “humano nuevo” representado en la figura de la madre como origen de un mundo mejor.
Para ello, la androide, da continuidad a la vida de un embrión femenino y asume el papel de madre afectiva, cariñosa y al mismo tiempo firme y cuestionadora. En el transcurrir se esa nueva vida va criando la niña bajo unos parámetros de responsabilidad pero, sobre todo, buscando o confrontándola con hechos que impliquen decisiones éticas y racionales más que emocionales.
Ya adolescente (Clara Rugaard), aparece de la nada una mujer (Hilary Swank) creando un gran conflicto en la joven y haciéndola dudar de todas sus creencias y verdades que le ha inculcado madre (la androide), entre otras cosas le hace ver que existen otros humanos en las minas, que la destrucción fue por los robots iguales a madre y no por un virus como madre le había hecho creer.
Mientras tanto, madre, quizás con una “actitud indiferente”, sigue mostrando a hija hechos, y la invita a colocar en la incubadora un nuevo embrión para que tenga un hermano. La mujer extraña presiona para que escapen, Hija no quiere dejar a su hermano que esta por nacer, sin embargo, los hechos la obligan a escapar. Me gusto esta película cuando la vi el año pasado. Tengo un fetiche con los robots, androides y todas esas cosas. Se que no tendré vida suficiente para ver un robot con inteligencia artificial, esa es una rea que le falta mucho por avanzar, pero espero que mis nietos si tengan esa dicha.
Jajaja. Si, el mundo de los robots se vislumbra lleno de expectativas, proezas. Recuerdo una serie la sueca "Real Humans" que resultó impactante por todas sus posibilidades entre ellas exigir sus derechos.
