It had been a long time since I sat down to watch an animated movie, since the Mitchell family to be more exact, frankly because none of them have caught my attention, and believe me, during my fatherhood stage, there are many, many animated movies I have seen, and although I do not consider myself an expert, I think I know enough to give an opinion and make a review, but the most recent movies like Encanto or Red, have not caught my attention and I have not finished watching them.
Tenía mucho tiempo que no me sentaba a ver una película animada, desde la familia Mitchell para ser más exacto, francamente porque ninguna me ha llamado la atención, y créanme que, durante mi etapa de paternidad, son muchas, muchísimas las películas animadas que he visto, y aunque no me considero un experto, creo que se lo suficiente como para opinar y hacer una reseña, pero las películas mas recientes como Encanto o Red, no me han atrapado y no he terminado de verlas.

As I told in my previous post, just a few days ago I had the opportunity to go to the movies, the initial plan was to do it with the family, but everyone wanted to see Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore the day of its premiere, although I am not a fan of the saga, I can say that I enjoy the movies and they entertain me, so I was encouraged and joined the plan, however, my youngest daughter of only 6 years old was not going to enjoy the movie, as it happened the previous time I took her to the movies and went to see with the family The Batman, obviously she did not enjoy it and less understood it.
So I didn't want to be selfish and I prepared everything for us to have a father-daughter date, so I looked through the animated movies available, and in the children's movies there were only Sonic 2 and Bad Guys, I showed them to my little girl, and without hesitation she chose Bad Guys. I didn't object to her selection because it looked pretty good, plus the day we saw The Batman in the trailers prior to the movie, we saw the one for Bad Guys, causing me a good first impression, however, when it comes to animated movies in the past we always wait for them to be available on streaming services to watch them, but this time it was different.
Como conté en mi publicación anterior, hace solo algunos días tuve la oportunidad de ir la cine, el plan inicial fue hacerlo en familia, pero todos querían ver Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore el día de su estreno, aunque no soy fan de la saga, puedo decir que disfruto las películas y me entretienen, fue así que me anime y me sume al plan, sin embargo, mi hija menor de solo 6 años no iba a disfrutar la película, como ocurrió las vez anterior que la lleve al cine y entro a ver con la familia The Batman, obviamente que no la disfruto y menos la entendió.
Así que no quise ser egoísta y preparare todo para que tuviéramos una cita padre e hija, entonces busque entre las películas animadas disponibles, y en cartelera para niños solo estaban Sonic 2 y Tipos malos, se las mostré a mi pequeña, y sin dudarlo escogió Tipos malos. No puse objeción alguna a su selección porque se veía bastante buena, además el día que vimos The Batman en los trailers previos a la película, vimos el de Tipos Malos, causándome una buena primera impresión, sin embargo, cuando se trata de películas animadas en el pasado siempre esperamos a que estén disponibles en los servicios de streaming para verlas, pero esta vez era diferente.
For me, going to the movies must be with a special movie, even more so since I have subscription TV platforms. For example, a movie that I'm already planning to go to see in premiere is Dr Strange 2 Multiverse of Madness, because if you don't do it on time, the amount of memes and unscrupulous people on social networks with their spoilers will take away the surprise. But with this movie the intention was different, but I was pleasantly surprised, I laughed a lot, more importantly, my daughter laughed a lot, we had a great time because it is quite entertaining, so it was worth seeing it in the theater.
Para mi ir al cine debe ser con una película especial, más aún desde que cuento con plataformas de Tv por suscripción. Por ejemplo, una película que desde ya estoy planificando ir a ver en estreno al cine es Dr Strange 2 Multiverse of Madness, porque si no lo haces a tiempo, la cantidad de memes y gente sin escrúpulos en redes sociales con sus spoiler te quitan la sorpresa. Pero con esta película la intensión era otra, pero me sorprendió gratamente, me reí muchísimo, mas importante aún, mi hija se rio muchísimo, la pasamos muy bien porque es bastante entretenida, así que valió la pena verla en el cine.

In search of images to accompany this publication, I found one quite particular, it looked like the cover of a comic book, with the same title of the film and animations of the same animals, so I set out to find out what it was about and that's when I learned that the film is not an unpublished story, it is based on a series of books that began in 2016 and has 13 books published until 2021. En búsqueda de imágenes para acompañar esta publicación, encontré una bastante particular, parecía la portada de un comic, con el mismo título de la película y con animaciones de los mismos animales, entonces me dispuse a averiguar de que se trataba y fue cuando conocí que la película no es una historia inédita, se basa en una serie de libros que dio inicio en el 2016 y cuenta con 13 libros publicados hasta el 2021. Gracias al éxito de estos libros DreamWorks anuncio en el 2017 la adaptación a una película animada.
Plot of the movie
We meet 5 animals that are naturally feared in the animal kingdom and among humans, together they make up a dangerous gang that has carried out many crimes and robberies without being caught becoming the most wanted of today. They are led by the Gray Wolf, an agile pickpocket and mastermind in all their operations, the skilled Tarantula an expert hacker, the Shark a master of disguise, the Piranha their skilled fighter and the elusive Snake capable of infiltrating anywhere, together they are known as the Bad Guys.
Conocemos a 5 animales que naturalmente son temidos en el reino animal y entre los humanos, juntos conforman una peligrosa banda que ha realizado muchos delitos y atracos sin ser atrapados convirtiéndose en los más buscados de la actualidad. Son liderados por el Lobo gris, ágil carterista y cerebro en todas sus operaciones, la hábil Tarántula una experta hacker, el Tiburón maestro del disfraz, la Piraña su hábil peleador y la escurridiza Serpiente capaz de infiltrase donde sea, juntos son conocidos como los Tipos Malos.
After having perpetrated an excellent bank robbery, and starred an epic escape from the police, they feel untouchable, but when they arrive to their lair, they hear on TV the governor declaring how predictable they are, what becomes a challenge and Lobo takes it personally, and it is when a new plan arises to steal the prize to the best person, the most altruistic of the city, that will be given to professor Marmalade, an adorable guinea pig. Después de haber perpetrado un excelente atraco a un banco, y protagonizado una épica huida de la policía, se siente intocables, pero al llegar a su guarida escuchan en la Tv a la gobernadora declarar lo predecibles que son, lo que se convierte en un reto y Lobo lo toma personal, y es cuando surge un nuevo plan para robar el premio a la mejor persona, la mas altruista de la ciudad, que será entregado a el profesor Marmalade un adorable conejillo de indias. Los esfuerzos por robar este premio salen mal y por fin son capturados por la policía, sin embargo, el profesor Marmelade se ofrece para ayudar a estos villanos a convertirse en ciudadanos modelos, aceptado el trabajo más difícil de sus vidas, convertirse en buenos, desencadenando una serie de acontecimientos que develaran grandes secretos.
My Opinion
The first thing I must admit is that I had a lot of fun with the movie, it has many funny scenes, simple to understand even for special children like my daughter, which I am very glad, because it does not focus on deep issues like other animated films that seem more oriented to adult and teenage audiences, for example, Soul or the most recent Red, both from Disney, however, it does have its message for adults or anyone who is able to understand it.
Lo primero que debo admitir es que me divertí mucho con la película, tiene muchas escenas graciosas, sencillas de entender incluso para niños especiales como mi hija, lo cual me alegro mucho, porque no se enfoca en temas profundos como otras películas animadas que parecen mas orientadas al publico adulto y adolescente, por ejemplo, Soul o las mas reciente Red ambas de Disney, sin embargo, si tiene su mensaje para los adultos o todo aquel que sea capaz de comprenderlo.
I love that DreamWorks uses the image of anthropomorphic animals, they always bet on this idea in many of their films which I think is very successful, because it makes it more friendly for the child audience to accept the characters and develop a quick empathy, and so that we adults can quickly find a message coupled with the real characteristics of the character in real life, as is the case in this film with the wolf, an animal that is feared and considered dangerous, but is super intelligent, whose presence is necessary in many parts of the world to maintain balance in ecosystems, and who here was responsible for bringing everyone else to their senses.
Me encanta que DreamWorks utilice la imagen de animales antropomórficos, siempre apuesta a esta idea en muchas de sus películas lo cual me parece muy acertado, porque hace mas amigable para la audiencia infantil aceptar los personajes y desarrollar una rápida empatía, y para que nosotros los adultos rápidamente podamos encontrar un mensaje aunado a las características reales del personaje en la vida real, como es el caso en esta película del lobo, un animal temido y considerado peligroso, pero que es super inteligente, cuya presencia es necesaria en muchas partes del mundo para mantener balances en los ecosistemas, y que acá fue el responsable de hacer entrar en razón a todos los demás.

I must say that I found the concept super interesting, more so now that I know about the books and the message the author is trying to give to the audience. We witness the animals that humanity has long called the bad guys, the wolf, the snake, the shark, the piranha and the spider, all have characteristics and ways of acting that have given them a bad reputation, but if we know them in detail they also have their virtues, so using these animals the author tries to teach that no matter our origin, or how others see us, we can be who we want to be and not what others think we are.
Debo decir que el concepto me pareció super interesante, mas ahora que conozco sobre los libros y el mensaje que procura su autor dar a la audiencia. Presenciamos a los animales que la humanidad por mucho tiempo ha llamado los chicos malos, el lobo, la serpiente, el tiburón, la piraña y la araña, todos poseen características y formas de actuar que les han otorgado una mala reputación, pero que si los conocemos en detalle también tienen sus virtudes, es así como utilizando a estos animales el autor procura enseñar, que sin importan nuestro origen, ni como nos vean los demás, podemos ser quienes queramos ser y no lo que los demás creen que somos.

El otro día pase por el cine y vi en cartelera esta película. Yo amo las películas animadas, así que pensaba verla en cuanto pudiera. Incluso si no tiene un mensaje profundo como Red o Encanto, quisiera tener la oportunidad de reírme un rato, que siempre es el objetivo.

La animación me recuerda a Zootopia, aunque esta parece mucho más deslumbrante. Disney a veces aburre con sus temáticas recurrentes, lo admito. Siempre que puedo veo una peli animada, ví el tráiler de ésta y me pareció genial. Me agrada el hecho de que no toque temas tan profundos y que sea más digerible para el público infantil. La anotaré para mí cine del domingo jaja. Éxitos!
