For no one is a secret that I love immensely the Bridgerton series, I've read the stories of all the siblings, and now I'm enjoying the Netflix adaptation, an ideal series if you need to relax a little and you love romance.
A few days ago the first part of the third season was released, four lovely chapters that tell the story of the third Bridgerton brother, Colin: if you don't know, each season (and each book) takes us through the life of a specific brother or sister, there are eight members, and we are barely in the third story, so we have a lot of left to see. However, there is one character that shone brighter than another Bridgerton, Penelope Featherington, the protagonist of this romance💜 She conquered my heart, and here I explain you why.

No, don't expect accurate historical data, because the basis of this series is not there, they use that era only for contextual references; Bridgerton is about romance, social classes, heteronormative culture, and yes, society gossip, here don't look to learn about history, just sit back and let yourself fall in love for a few hours.
The first season chronicles the romance of Daphne Bridgerton, marking the beginning of romance for all her other older and younger siblings, it's a butterfly effect. Then, in the second season, the older brother, Anthony Bridgerton, finally settles down and finds his ideal mate, his viscountess. All of us who know this story agreed that Colin had to suffer a little, in the previous season he humiliated Penelope, and it wasn't fair that now that she was looking to empower herself in his life, he would realize that he loves her and everything would be easily resolved. No. He had to recognize how blind he always was, and even though it happened, it wasn't enough. Everything is easily resolved. But I loved seeing his desperation, his disbelief, his confusion, as he begins to realize that Penelope is all he wants.
Es triste que éstas jóvenes veían el matrimonio como su «salvación»; sí, algunas encontraban el amor, pero la gran mayoría lo veía como una obligación. Penelope, que era una persona enamorada del romance, que realmente soñaba encontrar una pareja guiada por el amor, se tuvo que resignar que ese no sería su destino, por culpa de la misma sociedad (detalle que explicaré más adelante), y pide ayuda a su mejor amigo para encontrar un esposo.
Una chica totalmente extraordinaria, que siempre había sido dejada a un lado, y por eso se le dificulta ser el centro de atención, pero cuando alguien la ayuda a entrar en confianza puede demostrar todo su encanto.No obstante, éstos esfuerzos de socializar con el género masculino, encienden una chispa en Colin. Todos los conocedores de esta historia estábamos de acuerdo en qué Colin debía sufrir un poco, en la temporada anterior humilló a Penélope, y no era justo que ahora que ella buscaba empoderarse de su vida, él se diera cuenta de que la ama y todo se resolviera fácilmente. No. Él tenía que reconocer lo ciego que siempre estuvo, y aunque pasó, no fue suficiente. Todo se resuelve fácil. Pero me encantó ver su desesperación, su incredulidad, su confusión, cuando comienza a comprender que Penélope es todo lo que él quiere.
Something that characterizes the series is the drama, conflicts can't be solved just by talking, there must be arguments, crying, exaggerations, to reach the solution 😅 But it's not heavy, it's frustrating and fun. You suffer with the characters.
Also, despite having protagonists, we are also privy to the side stories and their development, I love that detail, because you never get bored, there is a lot of important information. My favorite drama in this first part is meeting another sister, Francesca Bridgerton, I know the development of her story, and I'm excited to see more of her. The good thing about this series is that at almost every moment you are in expectation of what will happen, when you think everything is solved a new problem appears, nothing will be so easy. And although, normally, I don't like this kind of content, the truth is that I really enjoy the series, because it is an entertaining drama.
Algo que caracteriza la serie es el drama, los conflictos no se pueden resolver solo hablando, debe haber discusiones, llantos, exageraciones, para llegar a la solución 😅 Pero no es pesado, es frustrante y divertido. Sufres con los personajes.
Además, a pesar de tener protagonistas, también estamos al tanto de las historias secundarias y su desarrollo, ese detalle me encanta, porque nunca te aburres, hay mucha información importante. Mi drama favorito en esta primera parte es conocer a otra hermana, Francesca Bridgerton, conozco el desarrollo de su historia y estoy emocionada por ver más de ella. Lo bueno de esta serie es que en casi todo momento estás en la expectativa de lo que sucederá, cuando crees que todo se solucionó aparece un nuevo problema, nada será tan fácil. Y aunque, normalmente, no me gustan esta clase de contenido, la verdad es que disfruto mucho de la serie, porque es un drama entretenido.
A detail of the series, and of that era in general, is the attitude of society towards women. The value of a woman resides in a marriage, if she is not married, then she is nobody, she has no voice in society. For that reason, we see how they exclude Penelope in every event, not only is she a single young adult (because the rule is to find a husband between your debut, at 17, until you are 20), but also she does not have the required “elegance”. They make fun of her, criticize every detail, blame her for not being married, and infer that she will always remain that way, alone.
This is not only said by society, but also by members of her family. They simply have the idea that no man will notice her, and therefore, they devalue her. Even the same society “gentlemen” only pay attention to her when she changes her dresses, but then they ignore her again, because they expect another girl to just smile and ask about them, but Penelope has a lot to say. Honestly, thank heavens they ignore her, because she deserves a real man who will give her his place, and if not, then it is preferable not to have any dead weight next to her.
Un detalle de la serie, y de esa época en general, es la actitud de la sociedad hacía las mujeres. El valor de una mujer reside en un matrimonio, si no está casada, entonces no es nadie, no tiene voz en la sociedad. Por esa razón, vemos como excluyen a Penélope en cada evento, no solo es una joven adulta soltera (porque la regla es encontrar esposo entre tu debut, a los 17 años, hasta los 20 años), sino que, además, no cuenta con la "elegancia" exigida. Hacen burlas de ella, critican cada detalle, la culpan por no estar casada, e infieren que siempre quedará así, sola.
No solo lo dice la sociedad, incluso también miembros de su familia. Simplemente, tienen la idea de que ningún hombre se fijará en ella, y por ende, la desvalorizan. Incluso los mismos "caballeros" de sociedad solo le prestan atención cuando cambia sus vestidos, pero luego vuelven a ignorarla, porque esperan otra chica que solo sonría y pregunte sobre ellos, pero Penélope tiene mucho qué decir. Sinceramente, gracias al cielo que ellos la ignoren, porque ella merece un verdadero hombre que le dé su lugar, y si no, entonces es preferible no tener ningún peso muerto a su lado.
As I mentioned in the last two reviews, there are specific details about Bridgerton that I love. The scenography is a delight, everything is so colorful, the decoration of the places is beautiful, the dresses of the young girls are in the best fashion point. Something I really don't like are the hairstyles, they are too exaggerated, I don't know if it was something characteristic of the time, but they exaggerate with the hairstyles of the secondary actresses, only the protagonists are well combed.
The music is another detail in favor. I like the creation of classical music versions of current famous songs. It is an original feature, at first I did not agree with the idea that the song of the critical moment was a song by Pitbull, but when I listened to it all doubts were dispelled, it was really perfect for the scene.
Como he mencionado en las últimas dos reseñas, hay detalles específicos de Bridgerton que me encantan. La escenografía es una delicia, todo es tan colorido, la decoración de los lugares es hermosa, los vestidos de las jóvenes están en el mejor punto de la moda. Algo que realmente no me agrada son los peinados, están demasiado exagerados, no sé si era algo característico de la época, pero exageran con los peinados de las actrices secundarias, solo están bien peinadas las protagonistas.
La música es otro detalle a favor. Me gusta la creación de versiones de música clásica de canciones famosas actuales. Es una característica original, al principio no congeniaba con la idea de que la canción del momento crítico era una canción de Pitbull, pero cuando la escuché se disiparon todas las dudas, realmente le quedó perfecta a la escena.
I mentioned at the beginning that this is only the first part of the third season, sadly only the first four chapters were released, and we have to wait a few more weeks to see the last four chapters. I do not like this decision to cut a season, unless they are many chapters, or its duration is long, because yes, it would be heavy; but a season of eight chapters, 50 minutes each, did not have to be divided, not even to generate tension, because this has been a season quite expected by the fans.
Overall, I loved the episodes, but yes it is quite disappointing to have to keep waiting (no, I don't like waiting 😅). If you haven't given this family a chance yet, then I recommend that one day when you're free, bored, give the series a play, and enjoy Lady Whistledown's gossip ✨.

Mencioné al principio que esto solo es la primera parte de la tercera temporada, tristemente solo se estrenaron los primeros cuatro capítulos, y hay que esperar unas semanas más para ver los cuatro últimos capítulos. No me agrada esta decisión de cortar una temporada, al menos que sean muchos capítulos, o su duración sea larga, porque sí, sería pesado; pero una temporada de ocho capítulos, de 50 minutos cada uno, no tenía que ser dividida, ni siquiera para generar tensión, porque esta ha sido una temporada bastante esperada por los fans.
En general, amé los capítulos, pero sí es bastante decepcionante tener que seguir esperando (no, no me gusta esperar 😅). Si aún no le has dado la oportunidad a esta familia, entonces te recomiendo que un día que estés libre, aburrido, le des play a la serie, y disfrutes de los chismes de Lady Whistledown✨

No he visto nada de esta serie, pero me la han recomendado ampliamente y creo que animaré a darle la oportunidad. Las películas y series de épocas bien llevadas son una maravilla y esta está basada en libros, así que hay mucho para explotar allí si saben llevar un buen guion.

Creo que a nadie le gusta esperar jaja peeero, por lo que más o menos he visto, este hype que genera la serie, ha hecho que muchos empiecen a verla/reverla desde la 1ra temporada.
El drama que se genera en torno a Franchesca y cuál va a ser su decisión final, realmente me encanta, y pues Colin, que sufra, mucho jaja

Lo que sinceramente me parece que se ve precioso es la ambientación, desde el vestuario hasta los escenarios creo que quedan muy hermosos. Ahora de la historia y sus chismes ya me enteraré luego 🤭

Hablemos de lo fascinante que fue ver por todo un capítulo a Colin "desconfigurado" 🤣🤣, con esa cara de confundido y hasta no logrando hablar con claridad frente a su "amiga" 🤣🤣, definitivamente fue de mis momentos favoritos 🤣.
Ahora siento la necesidad de que incluyan una canción latina en el soundtrack 🤭🤭.
Ni siquiera pudiendo dormir bien, por estar pensando en Penelope. Disfruté cada segundo de él confundido 😇😇 Aunque admito que ahora estoy igual, no necesito dormir, solo quiero respuestas, ¡necesitamos esos otros cuatro capítulos!😭
