I was always reminded of this phrase by my parents and other family members when disagreements arose or I got upset with my parents for no reason lol. They even told me that I will live it in the flesh when I have my children, and although that moment has not yet arrived, I have been able to see how the movie 60 Minutes, expresses it perfectly. Although 60 Minutes is a movie that could go unnoticed, since its plot does not have much attraction and it seems to be low budget.
Its story is quite interesting, striking and above all reflective and it can touch your heart. And although it has a slightly attractive soundtrack also what I liked most were the action sequences as it reminded me of the pure style of John wick but as if it were rambo, since this character only uses his fists as lethal weapons.
Octavio is an mma fighter who has serious problems in his life, because although he has a promising career in the world of wrestling and fighting, he is about to lose the battle to keep the guardianship of his daughter. Since he has divorced his wife, his ex is pressuring him to relinquish full guardianship of the child. But the plot thickens when Octavio gets a rather important fight he has to go to but then has to go to his daughter's birthday. His daughter already disappointed that her dad has failed her so many times, no longer feels that her father will keep his word to go to her birthday and give her a cake and a cat, so Octavio tries his best to keep his promise to gladden his daughter's heart.
But the plot takes an unexpected and complicated turn when a gangster bets a lot of money in favor of Octavio in the fight, but the fight is postponed for an hour and if he participates in the fight he will not be able to attend his daughter's birthday. So Octavio has to make a decision: he stays to fight and wins a lot of money or he loses his daughter forever.
In my personal opinion, this film is pure art because it manages to make something extraordinary out of a very simple plot. If you think about it, a father fighting to regain legal guardianship of his daughter sounds like a movie Owen Wilson would make. But I quite liked the twist in the plot when they included action scenes and characters with different motives that directly influenced Octavio's decision not to disappoint his daughter.
And as I said at the beginning, the action sequences are extremely excellent and reminded me a lot of Jean Claude van Damme's movies in his golden years or Boyka's movies when he was fighting in prisons. In any case, it's like watching John Wick as if he were Rambo in the ring.
In conclusion, it is an excellent movie to watch and enjoy, it leaves you with an important message that not all the money in the world is worth spending time with your family, and it also shows us how abandoning a child hurts him a lot. Esta frase siempre me la recordaban mis padres y otros familiares cuando surgían desacuerdos o me enfadaba con mis padres sin motivo lol. Incluso me decían que la viviría en carne propia cuando tuviera a mis hijos, y aunque ese momento aún no ha llegado, he podido comprobar como la película 60 Minutos, lo expresa a la perfección. Aunque 60 Minutos es una película que podría pasar desapercibida, ya que su argumento no tiene mucho atractivo y parece de bajo presupuesto.
Su historia es bastante interesante, llamativa y sobre todo reflexiva y te puede llegar al corazón. Y aunque tiene una banda sonora un poco atractiva también lo que más me gusto fueron las secuencias de acción ya que me recordó al puro estilo de John wick pero como si fuera rambo, ya que este personaje solo usa sus puños como armas letales.
Octavio es un luchador de la mma que tiene serios problemas en su vida, ya que aunque tiene una carrera prometedora en el mundo de la lucha y combate, está por perder la batalla para conservar la tutela de su hija. Ya que como se ha divorciado de su esposa, su ex está presionándolo para que le ceda la tutoría completa de la niña. Pero la trama se complica cuando Octavio consigue una lucha bastante importante a la que tiene que ir pero luego tiene que ir al cumpleaños de su hija. Su hija ya decepcionada de que su papá le falle tantas veces, ya no siente que su padre le cumplirá su palabra de ir a su cumpleaños y regalarle una torta y un gato, así que Octavio trata de esforzarse al máximo para cumplir su promesa y así alegrar el corazón de su hija.
Pero la trama hace un giro inesperado y complicado Cuando un gánster apuesta muchísimo dinero a favor de Octavio en la pelea, pero la pelea se pospone una hora y si participa en dicha pelea no podrá asistir al cumpleaños de su hija. Así que Octavio tiene que tomar una decisión se queda a pelear y gana mucho dinero o pierde para siempre a su hija.
En mi opinión personal esta película es puro arte ya que logra sacar de una trama sumamente sencilla, algo sumamente extraordinario. Ya que si lo piensas un padre que lucha por recuperar la tutoría legal de su hija suena como una película que haría Owen Wilson. Pero me gustó bastante el giro en la trama que le dieron cuando incluyeron escenas de acción y personajes con distintos motivos que influyeron directamente en la decisión de Octavio de no decepcionar a su hija.
Y cómo comenté al principio, las secuencias de acción son sumamente excelente me recordaron mucho las películas de jean Claude van Damme en sus años dorados o las películas de Boyka cuando peleaba en las cárceles. En todo caso es como ver a Jhon Wick como si fuera rambo en el cuadrilatero.
En conclucion, es una excelente pelicula para ver y disfrutar, si te deja un mensaje importante de que ni todo el dinero del mundo vale lo que vale pasar tiempo con tu familia, y ademas nos muestra como el abandono de un niño le hace mucho daño.
