Hello Hive community. I have always been a great fan of cinema and history, so when those two tastes are mixed and a pinch of humor is also added, for me it is the recipe for a great movie. This is the case of The death of Stalin, a comic satire that recounts the moments before the death of the Soviet dictator and the power struggles and conspiracies that occurred immediately after.

Desde siempre he sido un gran fanático del cine y de la historia, asi que cuando se mezclan esos dos gustos y además se le pone una pizca de humor, para mi es la receta para una película genial. Este es el caso de The death of Stalin, una sátira cómica que relata los momentos previos a la muerte del dictador soviético y las luchas de poder y conspiraciones que ocurrieron inmediatamente después.
This 2017 Anglo-French film that has an excellent cast in which Steve Buscemi stands out for me in his role as Nikita Khrushchev, although no performance leaves much to be desired, the cast is completed by Simon Russell Beale as Lavrenti Beria, Paddy Considine as Andréyev, Rupert Friend as Vasily Stalin, Jason Isaacs as Georgy Zhukov, Michael Palin as Viacheslav Molotov, Andrea Riseborough as Svetlana Stalina, Jeffrey Tambor as Georgy Malenkov, and Adrian Mcloughlin as Joseph Stalin.
Esta pelicula anglo-francesa del 2017 que cuenta con un excelente elenco en el cual para mi destaca Steve Buscemi en su papel como Nikita Jrushchov aunque ninguna actuación deja que desear, el elenco lo completan Simon Russell Beale como Lavrenti Beria, Paddy Considine como Andréyev, Rupert Friend como Vasili Stalin, Jason Isaacs como Gueorgui Zhúkov, Michael Palin como Viacheslav Mólotov, Andrea Riseborough como Svetlana Stálina, Jeffrey Tambor como Gueorgui Malenkov y Adrian Mcloughlin como Iósif Stalin.
In this entertaining and amusing satire, the hypocritical, sycophantic and conniving treatment of the dictator's train of ministers is evidenced. When he dies, he leaves a void which everyone rushes to fill, despite not being exact from the historical point of view, it gives us a fairly complete idea of the betrayals and internal struggles that characterized these characters.
En esta entertenida y divertida sátira se evidencia el trato hipócrita, adulador y conspirador del tren de ministros del dictador que al morir deja un vacío el cual todos se apresuran por llenar, a pesar de no ser exacta desde el punto de vista histórico, nos da una idea bastante completa de las traiciones y pugnas internas que caracterizaron a estos personajes.
We have the head of the secret police Beria who with his control of everyone's secrets and dirty laundry controls the threads of power, there is also Nikita the "young" (remember that the USSR politburo looked like a Jurassic park full of dinosaurs ) reformist who seeks to erase both the politics and the cult of Stalin, Zhukov the war hero and general in chief of the Soviet army, one of the most respected and feared men, will be decisive in the plot.
Tenemos al jefe de la policia secreta Beria quien con su control de los secretos y trapos sucios de todos controla los hilos del poder, tambien esta Nikita el "joven" (hay que recordar que el politburo de la URSS parecia un parque jurásico lleno de dinosaurios) reformista que busca borrar tanto las polítcas como el culto a Stalin, Zhukov el héroe de guerra y general en jefe del ejercito soviético, uno de los hombres mas respetados y temidos sera determinante en la trama.

Although I would not put this in my top favorite movies, I would certainly see it again, it was entertaining, funny and despite knowing the story and knowing how it ends, it always kept me glued to the plot, I had wanted to see it for a long time but I am one of the people that when they have time and are in front of the TV they suffer an attack of amnesia and don't know what to watch. I recommend it as a movie to pass the time and take a new look at historical events from a comic perspective.

Esta aunque no la pondría en mi top de peliculas favoritas, ciertamente la volvería a ver, me resultó entretenida, graciosa y a pesar de conocer la historia y saber como termina me mantuvo siempre pegado a la trama, tenia tiempo queriendo verla pero soy de las personas que cuando tienen tiempo y estan frente a la TV sufren un ataque de amnesia y no saben que ver. La recomiendo como una pelicula para pasar el rato y darle una nueva mirada a los hechos historicos desde una optica comica.
