¡Buenas mi estimado publico! espero de corazón que todos estén bien y con ganas de hablar de asesinos enserie, pero cualquier asesino en serie, si no de uno muy particular, a la que la palabra astuto y manipulador se le quedan cortas, en esta ocasión y después de mucho tiempo, comentare acerca de la ultima obra referente a este tema que llegue a ver "La Serpiente" disponible en Netflix, cuanta la historia del conocido como Charles Sobhraj aunque en realidad, veremos es su faceta mas perturbadora, encarada por lo que podríamos decir que es su verdadera persona, Alain Gautier, el titulo de esta serie no es casual y precisamente es lo que iremos explorando en este post, y a su vez, tirando algunos datos que quizás podrían interesar para que consideren verla mis panas, así que bueno, dicho esto, comencemos :D

La serie toma lugar alrededor de los locos años 70, pero no en un lugar predecible como lo serian los suburbios de los Estados Unidos o quizás algún barrio Europeo, la serie en cambio toma lugar en uno de los paises quizás mas exóticos del planeta, Tailandia, precisamente, en la capital, Bangkok, desde que comienzan los capítulos, todo se ve adecuadamente ambientado, tanto así, que si no tedas atrapar por el aspecto de los personajes, definitivamente, la música, es la que hara que te sientas tal cual en estos años, como un fan de la música de estos tiempos, tengo que decir que acertaron con todos los temas que colocaron, incluso llegue a identificar un par de temas que suelo escuchar a veces, pero en fin ¿De que va la serie como tal? esto en realidad recae sobre nuestro siguiente personaje, un diplomático de los Paises bajos.

El primer protagonista que nos acompaña en los hechos del presente que muestra la serie es un simple diplomatico, a quien se nota que le falta experiencia tanto en la oficina como en el dia a dia de las calles de Bangkok, no obstante, pese a la impresión que nos da, su preocupación por los turistas que empiezan a aparecer muertos por el pais lo van forzando a hacerse cargo de la situación, esto ocurre de manera bastante paulatina, de manera lógica y creíble para todos, no obstante, en la otra cara de la moneda, esta el que se lleva todos mis aplausos tanto en interpretacion como por el personaje que decidieron llevar, "La serpiente" o Alain Gautier, es el protagonista pero de los hechos pasados, cuando pasamos a verlo en escena es normal que estemos viendo hechos que ocurrieron antes de que el diplomático llegara al pais, el chiste con Gautier, es que realmente te vende muy bien que es un tipo con una mentalidad calculadora, de sangre fría, pero sin llegar a ser desequilibrado mental ni alguien que cause repulsión con nada mas verlo, en cambio, este tiene un Aire mucho mas elegante ante sus pares, siendo su mejor arte el camuflarse como un ostentoso comerciante de gemas, y solo dejando caer su careta cuando es estrictamente necesario, momentos que son oro puro, durante buena parte de la serie, todo consistirá en tratar de atrapar a este intrigante criminal, experto en evadir autoridades, además de tener un don sorprende para hablar prácticamente 4 idiomas.

Creo que todos en la serie estuvieron a la altura de lo que esperaba, llegando momentos en los que incluso superaron mis expectativas, especialmente con la mano derecha de Gautier y su otro complice hindu, un poco menos la esposa del diplomático pero bueno, tampoco es que tenga demasiados momentos memorables a mi parecer, pero en resumen, creo que todos aportaron a la historia y a que se mantenga entretenida, si hay algo que esta serie logra, es que quieras saber siempre el final de cada capitulo, no te llegas a aburrir en ninguno de ellos, me parece que vale la pena darle una oportunidad, sobretodo si estas algo quemado con asesinos seriales de siempre, definitivamente, la serpiente, es diferente y vale la pena verla mis panas.

Me encantan las adaptaciones de épocas, no debe ser para nada fácil replicar todos los vestuarios, peinados hasta incluso las escenografías gigantescas que suelen preparar, más aún tratándose de una serie la cual contiene muchisimo tiempo de filmación. me gusta más aún cuando la historia se cuenta en dos épocas diferentes y logra intruducirte a la perfección en ambas.
