Siendo considerada una de las mejores series de la historia, Breaking bad, creada por Vince Gilligan, nos cuenta la historia de Walter White (Bryan Cranston), un profesor de química que lleva una vida tranquila en los suburbios, es diagnosticado con Cáncer de pulmón y esto hace que su vida cambié drásticamente por las decisiones que toma de aquí en adelante.
Walter quien es un hombre muy inteligente, utiliza sus conocimientos sobre la química para cocinar metanfetamina, una dr0g@ bastante adictiva, pero para poder venderla y distribuirla necesitaría de un socio y es allí que tendrá el apoyo de Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), un joven adicto y traficante, antiguo estudiante del mismo.
La serie cuenta con cinco temporadas, emitidas por AMC desde el 2008 hasta el 2013 con 62 episodios que valen totalmente la pena. Inclusive, el libro de Récord Guinness, reconoce a Breaking Bad como la serie con mejor ranking (calificación de 99 sobre 100 en sitios de crítica).
La historia tiene un ritmo un poco lento, pero sin dejar que la historia se desenvuelva de la mejor manera ya que prácticamente todo lo que se ve, tiene un propósito y nada deja de ser relevante para la trama.
Los personajes: Gran parte de la popularidad de Breaking Bad se debe al casting, los actores que dieron vida a los personajes de la serie y aunque algunos aparezcan muy poco en pantalla, su paso por la serie marca un antes y un después. Entre ellos tenemos a:
Walter White y Jesse Pinkman: Nuestros protagonistas y socios durante la historia, ambos con una evolución de personaje increíble, cada uno con sus pérdidas y sufrimiento son los que dan vida a la serie.
Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), debo decir que este es de mis personajes favoritos. Un hombre que no daba un paso sin tenerlo firmemente calculado, un sicario profesional que siempre cumple con su trabajo. Por otro lado, en su vida privada, tiene a su nieta quien es la persona que mas ama y cuida.
Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito): Con su doble vida como empresario amble con la comunidad, dueño de la cadena de comida rápida "Los pollos hermanos" y narcotraficante meticuloso, un monstruo total por decirlo así, es uno de los mejores personajes que hay en la serie. Un villano en todos los sentidos.
El abogado Saúl Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) es tan buen personaje que incluso tiene una serie spin-off que por cierto fue la primera que me ví y que hizo que me emocionara ver Breaking Bad.
Hank Schrader (Dean Norris): Un agente muy inteligente de la DEA y cuñado de Walter White, es la contraparte de esta historia, es quien quiere hacer justicia y descubrir quién es "Heisemberg" para ponerlo tras las rejas.
También por mencionar y no alargar mucho más el post: Skyler White (Anna Gunn), Walter Jr. (RJ Mitte), Marie Schrader (Betsy Brandt), Hector Salamanca (Mark Margolis).
Para el año 2015 se estrenó Better Call Saul, una precuela de la serie, que como les comenté anteriormente, nos cuenta la historia del abogado Saul Goodman, y aquí también aparecen personajes importantes como, los Salamanca, Gus y Mike.
Y para el año 2019 se estrenó la película El Camino, la cual sirve de cierre para el personaje del querido Jesse Pinkman. Esta sería la única proyección que me falta ver, para poder darle fin y cerrar esta historia. Aunque debo decir que me coloca un poco triste si la historia de Jesse no termina bien, después de todo lo que sufrió.
Y bueno amigos, quiero decir que después de mucho tiempo por fin me atreví a ver esta serie que estuve postergado por unos años, ya que sentía que no era el tipo de historias que me gustan, pero a la final fue una buena decisión y en cuestión de semanas pude verla completa, no por algo es de las mejores series de la historia.
Por último quiero recordar que todas las series y película antes mencionadas están disponibles en la plataforma de Netflix.

The story has a somewhat slow pace, but without letting the story unfold in the best way since practically everything you see has a purpose and nothing is irrelevant to the plot.
The characters: Much of the popularity of Breaking Bad is due to the casting, the actors who gave life to the characters of the series and although some appear very little on screen, their passage through the series marks a before and after. Among them we have:
Walter White and Jesse Pinkman: Our protagonists and partners during the story, both with an incredible character evolution, each with their losses and suffering are the ones who give life to the series.
Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), I must say that this is one of my favorite characters. A man who would not take a step without having it firmly calculated, a professional hitman who always does his job. On the other hand, in his private life, he has his granddaughter who is the person he loves and cares for the most.
Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito): With his double life as a kind businessman with the community, owner of the fast food chain "Los Pollos Hermanos" and meticulous drug dealer, a total monster so to speak, he is one of the best characters in the series. A villain in every sense of the word.
The lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) is such a good character that he even has a spin-off series which by the way was the first one I watched that made me excited to watch Breaking Bad.
Hank Schrader (Dean Norris): A very smart DEA agent and brother-in-law of Walter White, is the counterpart of this story, he is the one who wants to do justice and find out who is "Heisemberg" to put him behind bars.
Also to mention and not to lengthen the post much more: Skyler White (Anna Gunn), Walter Jr. (RJ Mitte), Marie Schrader (Betsy Brandt), Hector Salamanca (Mark Margolis).
In 2015 Better Call Saul was released, a prequel to the series, which as I mentioned before, tells the story of the lawyer Saul Goodman, and here also appear important characters such as the Salamanca, Gus and Mike.
And for the year 2019, the movie El Camino was released, which serves as closure for the character of the beloved Jesse Pinkman. This would be the only projection that I have yet to see, in order to give it an end and close this story. Although I must say that it makes me a little sad if Jesse's story does not end well, after all he suffered.
And well friends, I want to say that after a long time I finally dared to watch this series that I was postponed for a few years, as I felt it was not the kind of stories that I like, but in the end it was a good decision and in a matter of weeks I could see it complete, not for nothing it is one of the best series in history.
