Cuando pensé en películas de acción, la primera que se me vino a la mente fue "Taken" (llamada Búsqueda Implacable en latinoamérica), una película que recuerdo haber visto en la casa de un amigo que tenía un espectacular cine en casa. ¡Me pareció que era muy buena y fue complatemente emocionante!
Taken es un thriller de acción que se trata de un agente de la CIA que debe tratar de rescatar a su hija adolescente luego de que ella es secuestrada en un viaje a París, quieren venderla como esclava sexual (tráfico de humanos). Este padre hará todo lo que esté a su alcance para rescatar a su hija, dándonos escenas llenas de acción y emoción.
Liam Neeson nos da una magnífica actuación, convirtiéndose en un héroe icónico que incluso llevó a esta película volverse una franquicia (pero en verdad ninguna otra de las películas me gustó como la primera). Me parece Neeson se convierte en algo así como un James Bond menos sofisticado que trabaja con lo que tiene a la mano y no con accesorios altamente tecnológicos, me gustó mucho, además de que debo de admitir que el actor también me gusta.
La escena en que Neeson recibe la llamada de su hija pidiendo auxilio y cuando habla con el secuestrador es muy famosa, incluso se ha vuelto algo así como un meme. Creo que la popularidad de esa escena también radica en lo intensa que es gracias a la actuación del protagonista, en verdad puedes sentir la tensión en ese escena.
Esta película despertó en mi un miedo ante dejar a mis sobrinas viajar solas al extranjero. El tráfico de humanos es algo terrorífico y pensar estar en el lugar del protagonista de esta película es algo casi imposible de pensar. También es muy fácil entender todo lo que haría el protagonista por su hija, es emocionante pensar que podríamos ser como él y vengarnos de aquellos que dañen a nuestros seres queridos.
Hay algo que es "realista" en las soluciones que nuestro protagonista con impresionantes capacidades es capaz de realizar, si bien no deben ser totalmente plausibles, hay algo en ellas que nos hace creer que es algo que podría suceder.
A pesar de que la trama es muy sencilla, lo que hace a esta película tan especial son sus escenas de acción. La acción de esta película es de mis favoritas, es muy emocionante y te mantiene en el borde del asiento, yo estaba desesperada cada vez que el protagonista se acercaba cada vez más a su hija. El hecho de que la película sea simple no significa que sea simplista.
No dejes de ver esta maravillosa película si te gustan las películas emocionantes y de acción, es espectacular.

When I thought of action movies, the first one that came to mind was "Taken" (called Relentless Search in Latin America), a movie that I remember seeing at a friend's house who had a spectacular home theater. I thought it was very good and it was completely exciting!
Taken is an action thriller that is about a CIA agent who must try to rescue his teenage daughter after she is kidnapped on a trip to Paris, they want to sell her as a sex slave (human trafficking). This father will do everything in his power to rescue his daughter, giving us scenes full of action and emotion.
Liam Neeson gives us a superb performance, becoming an iconic hero that even led to this movie becoming a franchise (but I really didn't like any other movie like the first one). It seems to me Neeson becomes something like a less sophisticated James Bond who works with what he has on hand and not with highly technological accessories, I liked him a lot, and I must admit that I also like the actor.
The scene in which Neeson receives a call from his daughter for help and when he talks to the kidnapper is very famous, it has even become something like a meme. I think the popularity of that scene also lies in how intense it is thanks to the performance of the lead, you can really feel the tension in that scene.
This movie awoke in me a fear of letting my nieces travel abroad alone. Human trafficking is terrifying and thinking about being in the place of the protagonist of this movie is almost impossible to think about. It is also very easy to understand everything the protagonist would do for his daughter, it is exciting to think that we could be like him and take revenge on those who harm our loved ones.
There is something that is "realistic" in the solutions that our protagonist with impressive abilities is able to carry out, although they should not be totally plausible, there is something in them that makes us believe that it is something that could happen.
Although the plot is very simple, what makes this film so special are its action scenes. The action in this movie is one of my favorites, it is very exciting and it keeps you on the edge of the seat, I was desperate every time the protagonist got closer and closer to his daughter. Just because the movie is simple doesn't mean it's simplistic.
Do not miss this wonderful movie if you like exciting and action movies, it is spectacular.
