Saludos querido lector que ama las series! si tienes Netflix y tiempo libre entonces esto te interesa, hoy vengo a introducirte en el Grishaverse, y es así como te presento esta hermosa joya del mundo de la ficción, Shadow and Bone, esta serie está basada en los best seller de la escritora Israelí Leigh Bardugo (quien también fue coproductora de la serie). Shadow and Bone o Sombra y Hueso como es conocida en Latinoamérica es una serie de época en la que encontraras de todo!
La trama principal de la primera temporada sucede en Ravka, un país que está en guerra desde hace muchos años con Shu Han (Lo que podía ser algún país de Asia) y Fjerda (Y esto podía ser Rusia), una que no han podido ganar, pues es un país que está dividido por lo que llaman The Fold, un barrera física en el país lleno de sombras donde asedian monstruos inimaginables y muy letales llamados Volcra.
Greetings dear reader who loves series! if you have Netflix and free time then this interests you, today I come to introduce you to the Grishaverse, and this is how I present this beautiful jewel in the world of fiction, Shadow and Bones, this series is based on the best seller of the Israeli writer Leigh Bardugo (who was also co-producer of the series). Shadow and Bones or Sombra y Hueso as it is known in Latin America is a period series where you will find everything!
The main plot of the first season takes place in Ravka, a country that has been at war for many years with Shu Han (which could be a country in Asia) and Fjerda (And this could be Russia), one that they have not been able to win, as it is a country that is divided by what they call The Fold, a physical barrier in the country full of shadows where unimaginable and very lethal monsters called Volcra.
Está ambientada posiblemente en principios de 1800, en un mundo lleno de fantasía y magia, que en la serie es llamada la pequeña ciencia, puesto que ellos no crean de la nada, solo manipulan elementos que ya existen. Solo algunos de los personajes de esta serie poseen estos dones, a estos se les llama Grisha. Existen tres órdenes de Grisha, los Materialki a quienes reconocerás por sus ropas moradas, ellos son fabricadores, estos se dividen en dos tipos, los Durast quienes manipulan y pueden hacer creaciones con sólidos como: metales o vidrio, y los Alkemi, quienes manipulan químicos. Luego están los Eterealki, estos visten de azul, la orden de los convocadores, entre los Eterealki están los Squallers quienes manipulan el aire, Los Tidemakers quienes manipulan el agua y los Inferni que manipulan el fuego, y por último están los Corporalki a quienes veras siempre de rojo, estos de dividen en Heartrenders que tienen la habilidad de controlar el cuerpo humano (estos son mis favoritos) y Healers que poseen la habilidad de curar heridas.
It is set possibly in the early 1800s, in a world full of fantasy and magic, which in the series is called small science, since they do not create from anything, only manipulate elements that already exist. Los creadores de la serie compraron los derechos de toda la saga de libros, y decidieron enlazar en la serie dos libros diferentes, así que tendremos el privilegio de conocer a mi grupo de ladrones favoritos, Kaz Brekker, Inej y Jesper, quienes provienen de un libro llamado Six of Crows, tambipen escrito por Leigh Bardugo, ellos vienen a agregarle astucia y emoción a la serie, pues vienen desde lejos a robar algo.
As it has happened since the beginning of time with everything unknown, the Grisha were feared and persecuted, until one day a unique Grisha, a shadow summoner, united them and turned them into an army capable of fighting in the war on the side of Ravka, General Kirigan or as everyone calls him The Darkling, wants to destroy the shadow, but for that, he needs a miracle, a sun summoner, the only problem, is that one hasn't been born yet until Alina Starkov appeared, a cartographer or at least that's what she thinks she is until it is discovered that she is the first Grisha who can summon sunlight.
The creators of the series bought the rights to the whole book saga and decided to link in the series two different books, so we will have the privilege of meeting my favorite group of thieves, Kaz Brekker, Inej, and Jesper, who come from a book called Six of Crows, also written by Leigh Bardugo, they come to add cunning and excitement to the series, as they come from far away to steal something.
Hay mucha diversidad en el cast, incluso la protagonista de la serie es una actriz asiática, aunque no es el caso en el libro hace un trabajo buenísimo! No creo que hayan podido haber escogido mejor, El cast es completamente nuevo para mí, la mayoría son actores que no he visto antes, excepto por Ben Barnes a quien quizá conozcas de Las Cronicas de Narnia y El Principe Caspian. Las locaciones y la fotografía de la serie son impresionantes además de hermosas. La serie es muy entretenida, consta de 8 capitulos en los que no deja de haber emoción nunca, acción, magia, aventuras, romance y traiciones, no te la puedes perder!
A mí en particular me encantan las series de época, y si tienen magia me gustan más, de esta serie me enganchó mucho el tráiler, y después de verla tuve que leer los libros, la saga completa consta hasta ahora de 7 libros, con diferentes historias principales pero siempre se entrelazan y se complementan.
Si alguien está interesado en leer los libros, yo recomiendo que los lean en este orden:
- Shadow and bone (Sombra y Hueso)
- Siege And Storm (Asedio y Tormenta)
- Ruin and Rising (Ruina y Ascenso)
- Six of Crows (Seis de cuervos)
- Crooked Kingdom (Reino de ladrones)
- King of Scars (Rey marcado)
- Rule of wolves (Ley de lobos)

There is a lot of diversity in the cast, even the main character of the series is an Asian actress, although she is not in the book she does a great job! The cast is completely new to me, most of them are actors I haven't seen before, except for Ben Barnes who you may know from The Chronicles of Narnia and Prince Caspian. The locations and photography of the series are stunning as well as beautiful. The series is very entertaining, it consists of 8 chapters in which there is never a let up in excitement, action, magic, adventure, romance, and betrayal, you can't miss it!
I particularly love period series, and if they have magic I like them more, I was really hooked by the trailer of this series, and after watching it I had to read the books, the complete saga consists so far of 7 books, with different main stories but they always intertwine and complement each other.
If anyone is interested in reading the books, I recommend reading them in this order:
- Shadow And Bone
- Siege And Storm
- Ruin and Rising
- Six of Crows
- Crooked Kingdom
- King of Scars
- Rule of Wolves

Esta serie la vi hace un buen rato me gustó mucho su estilo entre meca y victoriano muy a lo stempunk que me encanta, el tema de la magia siempre atrapa en estas series de Fantasía epica y bueno no pudieron encontrar a mejor villano, sexy misterioso y bien ambicioso.

Esta serie me encantó cuando la vi. Todavía espero la próxima temporada. La historia es hermosa, los personajes encantadores. Amé a los ladrones, el vestuario, la ambientación. Definitivamente, el tipo de series que me gustan.
