RE: [ENG + ESP] The Witcher season 2 (7.5/10) - "She’s tougher than you think"

in Movies & TV Shows2 years ago

Those who have read the novels will find this tv series an insult to the source material. Complete disregard to the original fans. It wasn't just altering minor details to make Witcher fit into big screen medium. The story, characters, world and its customs and rules had nothing to do with an original story in the novels. It's like Netflix used Witcher brand to make it interesting for an average viewer and created their own story and just named characters like in books. If it wasn't named "Witcher" no one would have paid attention to that failure.

It is clear that only using the Witcher name will attract many people but I believe it is normal for movies-series based on books to have important differences. The same happened in the Foundation series, in the GOT series, and I think it also happened in the Dune movie. I never read the Witcher books though, so I can't really say how many differences there are.
