Estamos una vez más realizando la recomendación de la semana, aunque este es el tema de los domingos, ayer tuve un inconveniente y no pude subir la publicación pero ya hoy se las vengo a presentar. La película navideña que les quiero presentar es una que yo considero un clásico navideño, es una producción que sin duda no pueden dejar de ver, se trata de Crónicas de Navidad, un película muy linda que podemos compartir en familia.

Ellos hace algún tiempo perdieron a su papá por lo que a su mamá les toca trabajar muchísimos y dejarlos solo mucho tiempo. A raíz de la muerte de su padre Teddy se ha vuelto algo rebelde y sobre todo con odio hacia la navidad y sin creer en Santa Claus. Una de esas noches en que su mamá tenía que trabajar, le dijo a Teddy que debía cuidar a Kate y que no la podía dejar sola; entonces la niña en su afán de demostrarle a su hermano que Santa Claus si existe deciden ambos grabarlos.
Some time ago they lost their father, so their mother has to work a lot and leave them alone for a long time. Since his father's death, Teddy has become a bit rebellious and above all he hates Christmas and doesn't believe in Father Christmas. Los chicos deciden montarse a escondidas en el trineo de santa y lamentablemente provocan un accidente que podría perjudicar la navidad, los renos se pierden, Santa Claus va a la cárcel y a los hermanos les toca trabajar en conjunto para poder sacar a Santa de la cárcel y así poder salvar la navidad. Junto a los lindos cómicos elfos, Santa Claus, estos hermanos en unión les toca vivir toda una aventura para que Santa pueda cumplir con su tarea antes de terminar la noche nueva.
The boys decide to sneak a ride on Santa's sleigh and unfortunately cause an accident that could damage Christmas, the reindeer get lost, Father Christmas goes to jail and the brothers have to work together to get Santa out of jail and save Christmas. Together with the funny elves, Father Christmas and the brothers, they have to live an adventure so that Santa can complete his task before the end of the new night.

¿Por qué me gusta esta película? Primero es un clásico navideño y creo que a todas las personas que les fascine esta época del año, tienen que gustarle esta película. Segundo muestra el dolor de Teddy al perder su padre, lo mucho que lo extraña y a manera en la que repercute que un adolescente pierda alguna de sus dos figuras paternas; pero que siempre vamos a tener personas que nos quieran y nos apoyen en esos momentos difíciles. A pesar de ser una película de fantasía, tiene un lindo mensaje.
Why do I like this film? Firstly, it's a Christmas classic and I think everyone who loves this time of year has to love this film. Secondly, it shows Teddy's grief at losing his father, how much he misses him and how it affects a teenager who loses one of his two father figures; but that we will always have people to love and support us in those difficult times. Despite being a fantasy film, it has a nice message.

Por otra parte, la película tiene unos lindos efectos y los personajes se ven muy reales; además que para mí quienes se roban el show son los hermosos elfos, de verdad que son una completa cuchitura. Finalmente es importante reflexionar en la fe y entender que la vida es un corto paseo, que en ese paseo perderemos seres queridos, pero nunca podemos perder la fe en las cosas que creemos y debemos continuar con nuestras vidas de la mejor manera.
On the other hand, the film has some nice effects and the characters look very real; plus for me the ones who steal the show are the beautiful elves, they really are a complete spook. Finally it is important to reflect on faith and understand that life is a short walk, that in that walk we will lose loved ones, but we can never lose faith in the things we believe in and we must continue with our lives in the best way.

Estando en la onda navideña de películas en la que me he adentrado desde este mes, había olvidado por completo ver esta película. Recuerdo haber seguido el trailer y que me llamara la atención pero olvidé verla cuando fue estrenada, se venía entretenida, más que nada por el papel de Kurt Russell quien es tremendo actor y que como "Santa" parece el indicado para protagonizar un film interpretando ese personaje.

La segunda parte no me gustó tanto pero la original es bastante entretenida, aparte, Kurt Russell es tremendo como Santa.

Concuerdo contigo en que la segunda no es tan buena, pero es una versión más actual de santa y me gusta mucho.
