I didn't know what the movie was about, I only knew it was from A24 and that was enough for me to watch it, it was enough for me to have fun like I didn't have fun watching Licorice Pizza, I know I shouldn't make that comparison, but I do it anyway, I don't care. Bodies Bodies Bodies Bodies is a very simple and straightforward movie, perfect for hanging out, laughing, stressing out, but most of all it's perfect for wanting to punch all its characters, for wanting a lot of gossip, all with a combination of blood, murder, and a lot of suspense.
The main plot, or what makes the movie exist is that there will be a hurricane and a group of friends decide to have a party at the house of one of them and get drunk and high with everything they have in the middle of a storm, and they do, then they decide to play a game, Bodies Bodies Bodies Bodies, where one of them will be the murderer and the rest must avoid being killed, at some point the game will stop being a game and one of them will appear dead for real, then chaos will be unleashed little by little in this group of friends who in reality are not as friends as they want to make us believe.
No sabía de qué era la película, solo sabía que era de A24 y eso bastó para que la viera, bastó para que me divirtiera como no me divertí viendo Licorice Pizza, sé que no debería hacer esa comparación, pero igual la hago, no me importa. Bodies Bodies Bodies es una película muy simple y sencilla, perfecta para pasar el rato, reírse, estresarse, pero sobre todo es perfecta para querer golpear a todos sus personajes, para querer mucho chisme, todo con una combinación de sangre, asesinatos, y mucho suspenso.
La trama principal, o lo que hace que la película exista es que habrá un huracán y un grupo de amigos decide hacer una fiesta en la casa de uno de ellos y emborracharse y drogarse con todo lo que tengan en medio de una tormenta, y lo hacen, entonces deciden jugar un juego, Bodies Bodies Bodies, donde uno de ellos serà el asesino y el resto debe evitar ser asesinado, en algùn momento el juego dejarà de ser un juego y uno de ellos aparecerá muerto de verdad, entonces el caos se desatará poco a poco en ese grupo de amigos que en realidad no son tan amigos como quieren hacernos creer.
This movie entertained me more than I expected, and without any effort, because from the beginning you can feel the tension in the place and that not everything is rosy in this group of friends. The amount of backstabbing is unbelievable, and never lacking, at the least expected moment we will see how they throw shit at each other, and we are happy to see that drama. This movie is a perfect representation of what most friendship relationships are in today's world, everyone plays their roles so well that it's impossible not to identify them with anyone we know who is like that.
I'm not going to tell you about the characters, because then it would take too long, but each one of them is perfect in their own unpleasant way of being, almost all of them are children of rich families who can do whatever they want and always try to use others for their own benefits. I have to mention Alice, she earned a place of honor for being one of the most unbearable and real in the movie, everyone knows an Alice, I spent the whole movie wanting to slap her, at least until she made me laugh too much and I couldn't despise her as much.
Esta película me entretuvo más de lo que esperaba, y sin ningún esfuerzo alguno, pues desde un principio se siente la tensión en el lugar y que no todo es color de rosas en ese grupo de amigos. La cantidad de puñaladas que se dan por la espalda es increíble, y nunca faltan, en el momento menos esperado veremos cómo se lanzan mierda entre sí, y nosotros felices de ver ese drama. Esta película es una repreentación perfecta de lo que son la mayoría de las relaciones de amistad en el mundo actual, cada uno hace tan bien su papel que es imposible no identificarlos con cualquier persona que conozcamos y que sea así.
No les voy a hablar de los personajes, porque entonces me tardaría demasiado, pero es que cada uno de ellos es perfecto en su forma desagradable de ser, casi todos son hijos de familias ricas que pueden hacer lo que se le de la gana y siempre tratan de usar a los demás para sus propios beneficios. Tengo que mencionar a Alice, se ganó un lugar de honor por ser de las más insoportables y reales de la película, todo el mundo conoce a una Alice, pasé toda la película queriendo darle una cachetada, al menos hasta que me hizo reír demasiado y no pude despreciarla tanto.
Lesbians in the middle of a house where people start turning up dead? Of course I'm going to watch the movie without hesitation for even 1 second. The movie does drop off at several moments, and it is in those moments when we will come to think that what we are seeing is too ridiculous to even exist, but no, that ridiculousness is what makes everything more real, it is those moments when we will come to think that everything is too unreal that the movie takes shape and gives us a perfect sample of reality, well, at least of a reality that very few people have access to, because the movie has as main characters rich twenty year old kids, you can't expect anything rational there, and we will never get it.
The fact that they are rich kids in their twenties is made clear to us almost at the end of the film, and that's why I felt that the film declined on several occasions, and I didn't have in mind that little variable that makes everything we are seeing change as we have no idea, that was the last piece I needed to put in context everything that was happening. Once I had all that in mind, I started to have a lot of fun watching the reactions of each of the characters, they have no equal.
¿Lesbianas en medio de una casa donde la gente comienza a aparecer muerta? Claro que voy a ver la película sin dudarlo ni siquiera por 1 segundo. La película decae en varios momentos, y es en esos momentos en que llegaremos a pensar que lo que estamos viendo es demasiado ridículo como para que siquiera exista, pero no, esa ridiculez es lo que hace que todo sea más real, son esos momentos en los que llegaremos a pensar que todo es demasiado irreal que la película toma forma y nos da una muestra perfecta de la realidad, bueno, al menos de una realidad a la que muy pocas personas tienen acceso, porque la película tiene como protagonistas a niños ricos de veinte años, no se puede esperar nada racional ahí, y no lo obtendremos nunca.
Lo de que son niños ricos de veinte años nos lo dejan en claro casi al final de la película, y por eso es que sentí que la película decaía en varias ocaciones, y es que no tenía en mente esa pequeña variable que hace que todo lo que se está viendo cambia como no tenemos idea, esa fue al última pieza que necesitaba para poder poner en contexto todo lo que estaba pasando. Ya cuando tuve en cuenta todo eso fue que me comencé a divertir demasiado viendo las reacciones de cada uno de los personajes, no tienen igual.
This movie is perfect for a good time and a good laugh, plus they will give us a lot of gossip and reveal secrets that have been dying to come out for years. More than friends, they were serientes waiting to release all the venom they had accumulated for all the years they had known each other. Those moments where they said everything to each other's faces I loved it, if I had seen it in the movies those moments would be the perfect ones to be eating popcorn with a shocked face not believing what they were saying to each other.
The ending has an unexpected twist that makes everything that happened the biggest cruel joke of the movie, and I can't tell you anything else because then it wouldn't make sense, it's not even because it's a spoiler, it's because the movie wouldn't make sense if we knew it from the beginning. Go see this group of friends, end up being less friends, all because of a game that became very real and made everyone drop their masks and show themselves as they are.
Esta película es perfecta para pasar el rato y reírse, además de que nos darán mucho chisme y se revelarán secretos que se morían por salir desde hace años. Más que amigos, eran serientes esperando soltar todo el veneno que tenían acumulado por todos los años que tenían conociéndose. Esos momentos donde se decían de todo a la cara me encantaron, si la hubiera visto en el cine esos momentos serían los perfectos para estar comiendo cotufas con cara de shock sin creer lo que se estaban diciendo.
El final tiene un giro inesperado que hace que todo lo que sucedió sea el mayor chiste cruel de la película, y no les puedo decir nada más porque entonces no tendría sentido, ni siquiera es porque sea spoiler, es porque la película no tendría sentido si lo supiéramos desde un principio. Vayan a ver a este grupo de amigos, terminar siendo menos amigos, todo por culpa de un juego que se volvió muy real e hizo que todos dejaran caer sus máscaras y se mostraran tal cual son.
Me divertí mucho viendo Bodies Bodies Bodies; tenía muchas expectativas y era una una de las películas que quería ver en el año; me gustaron todos los personajes y eso es algo difícil cuando el film es un slasher porque los personajes están para cumplir un cliché siendo el principal que todos serán víctimas y aunque está película no se aleja de eso, creo que por lo bien que está escrita se vio como algo nuevo.
El final es uno de los mejores que he visto, para mí uno de los mejores del año.
La película es digna de ese final, pues hay películas que tienen finales igual de increíbles y no los merecen. Todos los personajes cumplen su papel a la perfección, y sí, es demasiado raro que eso suceda con los slashers, todos son tan clichés que se les odia y se les quiere a la vez sin ningún problema.
Esta la recomendó Nameless hace unos días y la marque para buscarla. Espero tener tiempo el fin de semana para disfrutar de la película.

Se ve divertida, y fue realizada por una de.mis productoras favoritas, la A24. Voy a echarle un ojo, la trama se ve interesante y si me saca risas como a ti, le daré puntos a favor.
I saw this movie last night and was disappointed at the late twist. They all killed each other based on personal issues, it was hilarious. Yeah I had scenes where I laughe. I probably saw it because keke Palmer was on it, to be honest I'm not sure I'll see the movie twice.
Estaba decidido a no ver esta película (a pesar de ser de A24 y de que me agrada Pete Davidson desde sus días en SNL), pero tu post me ha hecho dudar jajaja ahora no sé si darle una oportunidad (¡es que mi lista por ver es tan larga!). Agrégala a tu lista y en algún momento la verás. Se disfruta con facilidad y no hay que destruirse la cabeza pensando en qué será lo que sucederá, es increíblemente simple y ridícula y aún así gusta demasiado.
