Ranking of Kings is about many things, but this story is going to revolve around Bojji, a son of giants who despite that is human size and not giant size, he is deaf, you can't understand what he says when he speaks, and as his father is the King, Bojji is destined to become King too as he is his first son. The people of the kingdom make fun of Bojji because they believe him to be completely useless being deaf, unable to speak, and having no strength at all, as he can't even lift a child's practice sword. Bojji wants to become the best King of all time no matter what, so he is going to work very hard to achieve it, we just have to wait and see if he succeeds or not.

Ranking of Kings trata sobre muchas cosas, pero esta historia va a girar en torno a Bojji, un hijo de gigantes que a pesar de eso tiene un tamaño de humano y no de gigante, es sordo, no se le entiende lo que dice al hablar, y como su padre es el Rey, Bojji está destinado a convertirse en Rey también al ser su primer hijo. La gente del reino se burla de Bojji porque lo creen un completo inútil al ser sordo, al no poder hablar, y al no tener nada de fuerza, pues ni siquiera puede levantar una espada de práctica para niños. Bojji desea convertirse en el mejor Rey de todos los tiempos sin importar qué, por lo que va a trabajar muy duro en conseguirlo, solo nos queda esperar ver si lo logra o no.

Bojji es la cosita más tierna, buena, y adorable que puede existir, provoca darle mil abrazos hasta que le explote la cabeza, bueno, no, pero entienden ese impulso de abrazar algo tierno muy fuerte sin que importe nada, bueno, esa reacción vamos a tener con Bojji, vamos a querer abrazarlo cada vez que llora y llorar con él a la vez, Bojji llora al menos una vez por capítulo, mínimo, no sé cuál es el máximo de la cantidad de veces que lloró, pero que fueron más de 1 docena de veces, eso fue horrible, no podía respirar ni ver bien de lo mucho que lloré con él, Bojji me hizo sufrir mucho, y aún así volvería a ver la serie sin problemas.
Esta serie tiene muchas cosas geniales, y hasta donde recuerdo, pienso, y siento, ninguna mala, bueno, lo malo es que termina, pero nada puede ser eterno aunque queramos. La animación es perfecta para este tipo de historia, no recuerdo el término exacto para describir lo siguiente, pero la animación se adapta a los requerimientos de los personajes, el estirar demasiado las extremidades, que veamos las cosas perder su forma y volver a ella sin problema alguno, es una animación que no restringe la composición física de las cosas, si no que deja que se deformen a su gusto y vuelvan a la normalidad, o no, después. Espero que lo entienda, porque mi cerebro dejó de funcionar tratando de explicar eso.

No sé cómo catalogar a esta serie, porque a pesar de que es infantil, suele ser muy gráfica y sangrienta durante ciertos momentos, además de que toca temas un poco difíciles de conversar con niños en caso tal de que se vea con ellos, o de que ellos lleguen a preguntarte algo y no sepas el contexto en que lo vieron, un pequeño ejemplo que daré para no hacer spoiler es que en esta serie vamos a ver cómo los humanos se traicionan entre sí y a ellos mismos sin importar que estén sufriendo, que sepan que no deben hacerlo, y que sepan que nada bueno puede ser el resultado de esa traición; el cómo se aprovechan de los demás para su propio beneficio; cómo unas simples palabras crueles de alguien que debería solo decirte cosas buenas puede causar una gran cantidad de inseguridades imposibles de enumerar, veremos cómo los padres suelen ser el comienzo de todos los problemas de sus hijos, porque como dice un dicho: los hijos pagan los pecados de los padres, y es algo que estará muy presente en esta serie, y dolerá, dolerá mucho porque llegaremos a vernos reflejados en todas esas situaciones.
I can't fail to mention Kage, he's that amorphous little thing, that black blob with eyes that becomes Bojji's best friend. Kage is one of the best demonstrations of what character development can be, in the first chapter he takes Bojji as someone dumb to steal clothes from, and then already in the second chapter Kage becomes Bojji's friend, and the rest is history, he was my second favorite character, because the first one is Bojji, and the third character is Bojji's mom, all the scenes that come out of Bojji and Bojji's mom remind me too much of Gaara and his mom, Gaara was born being so small and she's always taking care of him, it's something you can't forget once you see it.
Kage's story made me suffer too much, more than Bojji's, I mean, he belongs to a cursed race, that's why they have that shapeless physical form, and as they can go unnoticed in the shadows they are the perfect killers, although many things happen and Kage is left dragging that stigma impossible to erase that although he says he doesn't care and it doesn't affect him, we will see him many times fighting against everything he was told he was and what he really is and can become, it is a struggle worth seeing and very well represented.
No puedo dejar de mencionar a Kage, es esa cosita amorfa, esa mancha negra con ojos que se vuelve el mejor amigo de Bojji. Kage es una de las mejores demostraciones de lo que el desarrollo de personajes puede llegar a ser, en el primer capítulo él toma a Bojji como alguien tonto a quien robarle la ropa, y después ya en el segundo capítulo Kage se hace amigo de Bojji, y el resto es historia, fue mi segundo personaje favorito, porque el primero es Bojji, y el tercer personaje es la mamá de Bojji, todas las escenas que salen de la mamá de Bojji y Bojji me recuerdan demasiado a Gaara y su mamá, Gaara nació siendo tan pequeño y ella siempre estuvi cuídandolo, es algo que no se puede olvidar una vez se ve.
La historia de Kage me hizo sufrir demasiado, más que la de Bojji, o sea, él pertenece a una raza maldita, por eso tienen esa forma física amorfa, y como pueden pasar inadvertidos en las sombras son los perfectos asesinos, aunque muchas cosas suceden y Kage queda arrastrando ese estigma imposible de borrar que aunque él dice que no le importa y no le afecta, lo veremos muchas veces luchando contra todo lo que le dijeron que era y lo que en realidad es y puede llegar a convertirse, es una lucha digna de ver y muy bien representada.

Quisiera decir mil cosas más de Ranking of Kings, pero son muy personales y subjetivas, además de que serían spoilers pues estaría contando muchas cosas de la serie, por lo que les digo que no se van a arrepentir de ver la serie, amarán personajes, odiarán personajes, amarán a personajes después de haberlos odiado, son demasiados reales, la verdad, y es algo difícil de creer a veces, lograron que mostraran sus emociones y la diatriba eterna entre la buena y mala moral, entre el deber y el ser, entre lo que se quiere y lo que se cree que se quiere de verdad.
