This is an anime that came to me by surprise and almost from the first chapter, it joined my list of comfort shows to watch when I don't want to know anything about the whole world, the whole premise is great, besides that it calms completely, it makes you laugh, and believe it or not! I didn't cry once, me, who cries for everything, that still makes me laugh, yes, this anime makes you very hungry, so have some snacks nearby when you watch it, or eat while you watch it, so when they show food several times during each chapter, it won't affect you so much.
The premise of the anime is simple, several years ago Saku rescued Yukichi from the street. When Saku least expected it, Yukichi grew more than two meters, learned to cook, clean, do manual labor, learned about economics, never waste discounts at the nearest store, and above all, learned to take care of Saku, who without Yukichi, probably would have died from consuming so much beer and sweets without any discrimination. Yukichi became an essential part of Saku's life without expecting it, and we will have this series to see it all in close-up.
Este es un anime que llegó a mí por sorpresa y casi desde el primer capítulo se unió a mi lista de comfort shows para ver cuando no quiero saber nada del mundo entero, toda la premisa es genial, además de que calma por completo, te hace reír, y aunque no lo crean, no lloré ni una sola vez, yo, que lloro por todo, eso me sigue dando risa, eso sí, este anime da mucha hambre, así que tengan algún aperitivo cerca cuando lo vean, o coman mientras lo ven, para que así cuando muestren la comida varias veces durante cada capítulo, no les afecte tanto.
La premisa del anime es simple, hace varios años Saku rescató a Yukichi de la calle, y cuando Saku menos se lo esperaba, Yukichi creció más de dos metros, aprendió a cocinar, a limpiar, a hacer trabajos manuales, aprendió de economía, a nunca desaprovechar descuentos en la tienda más cercana, y sobre todo, aprendió a cuidar de Saku, quien sin Yukichi, probablemente ya hubiera muerto de consumir tanta cerveza y dulces sin discriminación alguna. Sin esperarlo, Yukichi se convirtió en parte esencial de la vida de Saku, y tendremos esta serie para verlo todo en primer plano.
Before watching the last chapters I was already complaining that I would have liked to see more chapters when Yukichi was still small, then the last chapters arrived and they gave us everything, everything of everything, probably to make us cry, but above all to make us happy, and they achieved both, although I didn't cry, I did it internally, the scene where Saku saves Yukichi from freezing to death on a snowy night breaks my heart, and the following scenes where even though Saku has her life turned into chaos, she cares more for Yukichi than for herself, no, I suffer, too real not to identify a little, I love Saku and I love Yukichi equally, although maybe a little more Yukichi, I mean, who wouldn't love a giant cat more?
One of my favorite things about the series is that Saku's life was so screwed up, the cat she rescued from freezing to death had to grow over two meters, learn to be a responsible adult, to have more than 10 professions, so she could take care of Saku so she could not only focus more on her work, because she could buy more cans of fish and tuna for Yukichi, but she would be lighter and could live better because the way she lived when she rescued Yukichi was not a life, and that, unfortunately, is a reality for more than one person in the world. You have to watch the anime to realize that.
Antes de ver los últimos capítulos ya me andaba quejando de que me hubiera gustado mucho ver más capítulos cuando Yukichi aún era pequeño, entonces llegan los últimos capítulos y nos lo dieron todo, todo de todo, probablemente para hacernos llorar, pero sobretodo para hacernos felices, y lograron ambos, aunque yo no lloré, pero lo hice internamente, la escena en la que Saku salva a Yukichi de morir congelado en una noche nevada me parte el corazón, y las escenas siguientes donde a pesar de que Saku tiene la vida vuelta un caos total, se preocupa más por Yukichi que por ella misma, no, sufro, demasiado real como para no identificarse un poco, amo a Saku y amo a Yukichi por igual, aunque quizás un poco más a Yukichi, o sea, ¿quién no amaría más a un gato gigante?
Una de mis cosas favoritas de la serie es que la vida de Saku estaba tan jodida, que el gato que rescató de morir congelado tuvo que crecer más de dos metros, aprender a ser un adulto responsable, a tener más de 10 profesiones, para así cuidar de Saku y que ella pudiera no solo enfocarse más en su trabajo, porque así podría comprarle más latas de pescado y de atún a Yukichi, si no que así ella estaría más ligera y pudiera vivir mejor, porque la forma en la que ella vivía cuando rescató a Yukichi no era una vida, y eso lamentablemente es una realidad para más de una persona en el mundo. Tienen que ver el anime para darse cuenta.
Something I always admire in an anime, no matter what is when it doesn't have fanservice, let alone a love relationship in between that ruins the experience for me, this is one of those anime, that I love, because although many times it will talk about relationships, Saku has no need, nor any desire to look for a partner and get married, partly because she panics that both her partner and Yukichi will realize how useless she is, abandoning her to go live without her, plus she would have to tell her partner that she has a giant cat that cooks and cleans her house, besides other things, that is, a thing of crazy people.
That was another thing I loved about the series, Saku has no interest whatsoever in having a relationship, with Yukichi she already has enough, and every time the possibility of a relationship was mentioned, the attention was always directed toward Saku's boss, who we never see to have any intention of that kind with her, so it's a total bummer, but then, during the last chapters, we find out that Saku has a more than possible crush, and it becomes cute to see them interacting, although again, Saku has no fucking idea what's going on, and that just makes it all that much better.
Algo que siempre admiro en un anime, sin importar qué, es cuando no tiene fanservise, y mucho menos una relación amorosa de por medio que arruina la experiencia para mí, y este es uno de esos animes, cosa que amo, pues si bien muchas veces se hablará de relaciones, Saku no tiene necesidad, ni deseos algunos de buscar pareja y casarse, en parte porque tiene pánico de que tanto su pareja como Yukichi se den cuenta de lo inútil que es, abandonándola para irse a vivir sin ella, además de que en primer lugar tendría que decirle a su pareja que ella tiene un gato gigante que le cocina y le limpia la casa, además de otras cosas, o sea, una cosa de gente loca.
Esa fue otra de las cosas que me encantó de la serie, Saku no tiene interés alguno en tener una relación, con Yukichi ya tiene suficiente, y cada vez que se mencionaba la posibilidad de una relación, siempre la atención era dirigida hacia al jefe de Saku, que nunca vemos tener alguna intención de ese tipo con ella, entonces es un fastidio total, pero entonces, durante los últimos capítulos, nos enteraremos que Saku tiene una más que posible enamorada, y llega a ser tierno verlas interactuar, aunque de nuevo, Saku no tiene ni puta idea de lo que está pasando, y eso solo hace que todo mejore mucho más.
Here we support Yukichi! No matter if in the future he decides to dominate the whole of humanity and enslave us so that our purpose is only to serve the cats, although it is not very different from reality, everything would be considerably better under the power of his paws and claws. Yukichi is such a cute and beautiful thing, even when he's angry, especially when he's angry, plus, his laugh is something scary as well as tender, you have to listen to it, and you will die when you hear him purring, I was having a crisis, I was almost dying.
