El próximo 15 de septiembre se llevará a cabo la entrega de estos prestigiosos premios que reconocen el gran trabajo que se ha hecho a nivel de series. Esta semana pasada salieron a la luz los nominados en donde vimos básicamente cosas que esperábamos o estaban muy claras que sucederían como por ejemplo las 25 nominaciones de Shogun o las 23 de The Bear. Hay algunos reconocimientos interesantes como los de la serie Mr. & Mrs. Smith la cual es de lo mejor que he visto este año (si no la han visto les recomiendo que lo hagan) y claramente Fallout la cual también ha dado mucho de qué hablar por la inmensa calidad que tiene.

Les confieso nunca he sido fan de esa serie pero no niego lo top que es todo lo que la rodea. Slow Horses es otra serie que está en ese grupo la cual es increíble pero que entiendo que no tiene ninguna oportunidad frente a las demás. Mr. & Mrs. Smith y Fallout también aparecen pero creo que la ganadora indiscutible será la creada por Rachel Kondo, Shogun. Todo lo que rodea a esta series es extraordinario, actuaciones, personajes, ambientación, guión; tiene todo para arrasar.

En las series de comedia muchos apostarían por The Bear, me incluyo, y es que esta segunda temporada fue una locura, tuvo uno de los episodios más brutales que se han visto en televisión en mucho tiempo, la famosa cena de navidad. Pero cuidado con Only Murders in the Building, la serie creada por el gran Steve Martin. Creo que es la única que pudiera pelearle el premio a The Bear. Curb Your Enthusiasm es muy buena también pero no siento que esté a la altura de estas dos producciones, por lo menos no este año. Pasando a los actores principales dramáticos la cosa se complica y es que todos, sin excepción pudieran optar por el galardón pero volvemos al principio, lo hecho por Hiroyuki Sanada es para enmarcar.

En cuanto a las actrices tengo el corazón dividido porque Maya Erskine (Mr. & Mrs. Smith) es espectacular, la calidad de papel e interpretación que hizo en esa serie me gustó bastante pero creo que no debería de haber discusión, Anna Sawai revolucionó todo con su personaje de Lady Mariko. Siguiendo con las mujeres pero esta vez en la comedia no se si Ayo Edebiri (The Bear) será capaz de repetir teniendo a Selena Gomez en la pelea. En esta categoría la verdad no lo tengo claro.

El mejor actor de comedia va a pasar lo mismo que con las mujeres, la pelea estará entre Jeremy Allen White (The Bear), Steve Martin y Martin Short. La verdad me han faltado por ver unas cuantas de este grupo pero por lo que uno puede leer la pelea estaría entre esos tres. No soy muy fan de las series de comedia, creo que debería de cambiar un poco eso. Me sorprendió mucho que Baby Reindeer tuviera unas cuantas nominaciones, creo que los actores estuvieron geniales, no si van a lograr llevarse algo porque compiten con miniseries muy top como Ripley o True Detective que están teniendo muy buena aceptación y críticas.
Best Actor in a Comedy is going to be the same as the women, the fight will be between Jeremy Allen White (The Bear), Steve Martin and Martin Short. I have yet to see a few of this group but from what one can read the fight would be between those three. I'm not a big fan of comedy series, I think I should change that a bit. La cosa es que pareciera que hay una favorita para llevarse todo lo que está a su alcance pero no siempre por el hecho de tener muchas nominaciones es sinónimo de victoria segura, a veces la academia se lanza unas sorpresas que puede no terminen gustando a todo el mundo. Pero bueno, habrá que esperar un poco menos de dos meses para conocer a los ganadores. ¿Que opinión tienes con respecto a estas nominaciones?, ¿crees que Shogun arrazará o habrá sorpresas?. En un mundo justo Mr. & Mrs. Smith y Fallout deberían de llevarse algo aunque Ella Purnell no esté nominada cosa que es rara. Pero bueno, ya veremos.

Sabes que me causa mucha curiosidad porque The Bear está en la categoría de comedia, la verdad creo que es como degradar la serie, el episodio de la cena de navidad hay más drama que cualquiera otra cosa.
La razón de eso pasa por los estudios, en este caso cuando mandan las series a la academia deciden que categoría es mejor o en la que mejor chance tendrían de ganar. También por la duración de los capítulos, cuando son de media hora aproximadamente generalmente son catalogadas comedias.
Es raro pero así se maneja eso. Y si, ese capítulo es de lo más angustiante que he visto.
