Cinema has plenty of stories that we could be telling for hours and hours just giving a summary, one of the genres within the cinema that I like and interest me the most are suspense or thriller films, they transmit adrenaline and even fear for their situations and in this case, the film of which I will talk about today has made me despair on more than one occasion, let's talk a little about Emergency Line.

Emergency line, takes the story of Casey's kidnapping in a shopping mall, which calls the emergency line while she is in the trunk of a car, Casey follows the instructions of Jordan, who is attending her from the call and helping her to make it easier to follow the trail of the vehicle where she is. The film goes on like this for a long time, leaving tense moments because Michael Foster (the kidnapper) discovers Casey trying to escape or give signals on several occasions, despite all this, he pays more attention to not damaging Casey's hair.
The film gives strong moments of suspense by other people who get in Foster's way either trying to save Casey or noticing strange behaviors in him, and the situations get worse when Foster ends up killing those people in front of our eyes in a brutal way, which leaves us very shocked since the atmosphere was already tense before those people were killed. Among the things that leave the atmosphere I must mention the work between the sounds of the film, tense music, screams of horror and crying Casey and Jordan's reactions at different times of the call, as Jordan is a professional operator but was plotted by the kidnapping of a blonde girl named Leah Templeton a while ago, I really liked the performance of Halle Berry.
The denouement of the film occurs when Foster finally arrives to the basement where he will finally put into practice his plans, which until now nobody knew, sedating Casey and washing her hair while on the other hand Jordan receives personal information about Foster, who actually has a family with children, at that moment is when his wife is questioned by the police and they get the location of the house where Foster lived in his childhood with his sister, whom he loved very much and died of a disease that is not named in the film. With this information, they search for Foster in the place but get nothing, this is why Jordan, still at work takes the effort to go looking for Casey, searching in several places of the abandoned house until he finally gets the basement, which was hidden in the ground, enters carefully and this is when Jordan confirms that Foster was the same kidnapper who killed Leah Templeton, as Foster had previously locked Casey's call with the phrase "It's done", the same phrase with which he hung up Leah's call. Jordan manages to free Casey in a fight against Foster, and instead of calling the police, they decided to leave him in the basement tied to a chair, writing him off as missing. Another strange thing that is revealed to us at the end is Foster's goal, which was basically to scalp Casey to have him as if he were some kind of wig, as it reminds him of his sister who was also blonde, and it was just what he did with Leah Templeton.
Despite its criticisms that pointed to all sides, I consider it to be a great film well raised, as we see how the film progresses and we do not get distracted or confused of what we see, the atmosphere always remains tense apart from their shots and camera effects make the film look more violent on purpose, because just that is what makes you despair in several scenes, as the scene in which Foster stops in a parking lot to check why the paint was being thrown, because Casey is under threat and a man was already suspicious of Foster, the man called the police and ended up being interrupted by Foster and also ended up kidnapping him, to finally kill him too.
In my personal opinion, it is one of the best movies with real situations that I have seen, I recommend it completely for those who like this kind of movies, I saw it in these days at night and the truth is that I saw it like never before, it was a different situation than the other times I have seen it. El cine nos tiene historias de sobra que podríamos estar contando por horas y horas solamente dando un resumen, uno de los géneros dentro del cine que más me agradan e interesan son las películas de suspenso o thriller, transmiten adrenalina e incluso miedo por sus situaciones y en este caso, la película de la cual hablare el día de hoy me ha hecho desesperarme en más de una ocasión, hablemos un poco de Línea de emergencia.

Línea de emergencia, toma la historia del secuestro de Casey en un centro comercial, la cual llama a la línea de emergencia mientras ella está en el maletero de un auto, Casey sigue las instrucciones de Jordan, quien la está atendiendo desde la llamada y ayudándola a que sea más fácil seguir el rastro del vehículo en donde esta. La película se mantiene así por largo rato dejando momentos tensos porque Michael Foster (el secuestrador) descubre en varias ocasiones a Casey intentando escapar o dar señales, a pesar de todo esto fija su atención más que todo en no dañar el cabello de Casey.
La película da momentos fuertes de suspenso por otras personas que se interponen en el camino de Foster ya sea intentando salvar a Casey o notando comportamientos extraños en él, y las situaciones se vuelven peor cuando Foster termina asesinando a esas personas frente a nuestros ojos de manera brutal, lo cual nos deja muy impactados ya que el ambiente de por si estaba tenso antes de que esas personas fueran asesinadas. Entre las cosas que dejan el ambiente debo hacer mención al trabajo entre los sonidos de la película, música tensa, gritos de horror y llanto de Casey y las reacciones de Jordan en distintos momentos de la llamada, ya que Jordan es una operadora profesional pero quedo tramado por el secuestro de una chica rubia llamada Leah Templeton un tiempo atrás, realmente me agrado la actuación de Halle Berry
El desenlace de la película se da cuando por fin Foster llega al sótano donde por fin pondrá en práctica sus planes, que hasta ahora nadie sabía, sedando a Casey y lavando su cabello mientras que por otro lado Jordan recibe información personal sobre Foster, el cual en realidad tiene una familia con hijos, en ese momento es cuando su esposa es interrogada por la policía y obtienen la ubicación de la casa donde vivía Foster en su niñez junto a su hermana, la cual amaba mucho y falleció por una enfermedad que no se nombra en la película. Con esta información, buscan a Foster en el lugar pero no consiguen nada, es por esto que Jordan, aun en el trabajo toma el esfuerzo de ir a buscar a Casey, buscando en varios lugares de la casa abandonada hasta que por fin consigue el sótano, que estaba oculto en la tierra, entra con cuidado y es aquí cuando Jordan confirma que Foster fue el mismo secuestrador que asesino a Leah Templeton, ya que anteriormente Foster había trancado la llamada de Casey con la frase “Ya está hecho”, misma frase con la que colgó la llamada de Leah. Jordan consigue liberar a Casey en una pelea contra Foster, y en vez de llamar a la policía, decidieron dejarlo en el sótano atado a una silla, dándolo por desaparecido. Otra cosa extraña que se nos revela al final es el objetivo de Foster, que era básicamente arrancarle el cuero cabelludo de Casey para tenerlo como si fuera una clase de peluca, ya que le recuerda a su hermana quien también era rubia, y fue justo lo que hizo con Leah Templeton.
A pesar de sus criticas que apuntaban a todos lados, yo considero que es una gran película bien planteada, ya que vemos como la película avanza y no nos llegamos a distraer ni a confundirnos de lo que vemos, el ambiente siempre se mantiene tenso aparte que sus tomas y efectos de cámara hacen que la película se vea más violenta a propósito, ya que justo eso es lo que hace que te desesperes en varias escenas, como la escena en la que Foster se para en un estacionamiento para revisar por que la pintura se estaba botando, porque Casey está bajo amenaza y un señor ya estaba sospechando de Foster, el señor llamo a la policía y termino siendo interrumpido por Foster y también lo termino secuestrando, para al finar matarlo también.
En opinión personal, es una de las mejores películas con situaciones reales que he visto, la recomiendo por completo para aquellos que les agrada este tipo de peliculas, la vi en estos dias de noche y la verdad la vi como nunca antes, fue una situacion diferente a las otras veces que la he visto. Sounds like a really great plot, I love suspense movies where you cannot predict the next move of the next scary scene..it's nice and I love the way you told the story.. certainly like the movie and would do well to check it out
