I have watched this movie and just found out that was inspired by the Tsunami disaster that occurred in 2004 in Thailand and my province of Aceh became the point of the earthquake which then triggered a tsunami that also affected a number of countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, and India.
This is one of the best disaster movies out there. I remember watching it with my family and my wife cried really hard when the family was reunited together.
