The first season was great, I liked it a lot. Very well directed and excellent actors. The second season the first half was lost a lot of time in what Elliot imagined while he was in prison, it was evident that it was a prison. The closing of the series I liked, I was satisfied and it's a great series.

As you mention, the second season is somewhat tedious at the beginning because it perhaps gloats excessively in the character's ravings and hallucinations during his seclusion, but the way in which all that knot unfolds, I think it compensates for the previous disorder.
