I'm really struck by the cast, especially seeing Adrien Brody so young, but what really impacted me was Aaron's story. Just imagining a child having to survive alone in a hotel during the Great Depression, separated from his brother and deceiving everyone so he can continue going to school... it sounds heartbreaking, but at the same time super inspiring.
I love these kinds of stories of resilience and forced maturity that, although they make you suffer a little, leave you with a good message in the end.
