Greetings, movie and series lovers! 🎥
I think this series manages to captivate you through its characters, and its premise, which may seem a bit simple... but it manages to address very relevant and important issues in a super honest and tender way. In this series we meet Charlie and Nick, two high school students who develop a very special connection. Charlie is an openly gay boy, and because of life, ends up developing feelings for Nick, the captain of the Rugby team, so we will see the beautiful journey of these two, while both explore their feelings and their relationship begins to blossom, although the premise may seem super typical, I thought so too... but I ended up surprised at how interesting everything starts to develop, I think they addressed greatly the focus on self-discovery and acceptance, allowing us to connect a lot with the characters.

Hola a todos! Espero estén pasándola bien el día de hoy. Les quiero compartir una vez más una reseña con mi opinión de una serie que sin duda es bastante única. Decidí hacerle esta reseña, ya que pronto se estrenará su tercera temporada por Netlfix, y pensé que seguro habrá alguna que otra persona que no la conozca. Me debatí mucho si hacer esta reseña o no, puesto que no sabía exactamente el tipo de personas que me encontraría en esta plataforma, hasta ahora no he tenido ningún problema con ninguno.. y me gustaría seguir así, pero considero que no hablar de algo que me gusta para satisfacer a alguna persona homofóbica, tampoco es lo ideal. Así que el día de hoy les hablaré de Heartstopper, una serie algo popular, debido a su tema central, y a sus adorables protagonistas.Considero que esta serie logra cautivarte a través de sus personajes, y su premisa, que puede parecer algo sencilla.. pero que logra abordar temas muy relevantes e importantes de una manera super honesta y tierna. En esta serie conocemos a Charlie y Nick, dos estudiantes de secundaria que desarrollan una conexión muy especial. Charlie es un chico abiertamente gay, y por cosas de la vida, termina desarrollando sentimientos hacia Nick, el capitán del equipo de Rugby, por lo que veremos el hermoso recorrido de estos dos, mientras ambos exploran sus sentimientos y su relación empieza a florecer, aunque la premisa te pueda parecer super equis, yo también pensaba eso.. pero termine sorprendido de lo interesante que se empieza a desarrollar todo, creo que abordaron de manera genial el enfoque en el autodescubrimiento y la aceptación, permitiéndonos conectar mucho con los personajes.
Heartstopper stands out for its excellent inclusive and respectful representation of the LGBTQ+ community, each character is unique and their personal experiences are portrayed with great sensitivity and realism, avoiding ridiculing all these aspects as other productions have done. This series not only focuses on the central relationship of Charlie and Nick, but also explores the relationships, sexual orientations and gender identities of the other characters, providing a broad and diverse vision, as it gives room for anyone to identify with any character. This first season has a total of 8 episodes, which fly by... then, in the second season, it delves into the different challenges faced by Nick and Charlie as they try to make their relationship public.
The series handles in an intelligent way those difficulties of coming out of the closet, the social prejudices, and the abuses that people who are part of the community can go through, for the simple fact of existing, and wanting to express their affection like everyone else... all this without losing its optimistic and hopeful tone, this surprised me a lot, the way this was handled, since you perceive the injustice of what is happening, but without falling into having pity for them, you genuinely understand them.
Olivia Colman's participation, as Nick's mother, is also incredible... she perfectly represents the true love of a mother towards her son, one of my favorite characters, without a doubt, I wish she had been in more episodes. Also, in this second season we get to know more in depth the other secondary characters, who also have their own touching stories, we also see their personal problems, and how they try to overcome them.

Heartstopper destaca mucho por su excelente representación inclusiva y respetuosa de la comunidad LGBTQ+, cada personaje es único y sus experiencias personales son retratadas con mucha sensibilidad y realismo, evitando ridiculizar todos estos aspectos como lo han hecho otras producciones. Esta serie no solo se enfoca en la relación central de Charlie y Nick, sino que también explora las relaciones, orientaciones sexuales e identidades de género de los demás personajes, brindando una visión amplia y diversa, ya que da pie a que cualquier persona pueda identificarse con algún personaje. Esta primera temporada tiene un total de 8 episodios, que se te pasan volando.. luego, en la segunda temporada, se profundiza en los diferentes desafíos que enfrentan Nick y Charlie al intentar hacer pública su relación.La serie maneja de una manera inteligente aquellas dificultades de salir del closet, los prejuicios sociales, y los abusos que pueden llegar a pasar las personas que son parte de la comunidad, por el simple hecho de existir, y querer expresar su cariño como todos lo demás.. todo esto sin perder su tono optimista y esperanzador, esto me sorprendió mucho, la manera en que se manejó esto, ya que percibes la injusticia de lo que está pasando, pero sin caer en tener lástima por ellos, genuinamente los entiendes.
La participación de Olivia Colman, como la madre de Nick, también es increíble.. representa a la perfección el verdadero amor de una madre hacia su hijo, de mis personajes favoritos, sin duda, ojalá hubiera salido en más episodios. Además, en esta segunda temporada conocemos más a fondo a los demás personajes secundarios, quienes también tienen sus propias historias conmovedoras, vemos de igual manera sus problemas personales, y como intentan superarlos.
This series has a great ability to balance light and funny moments, with other more serious and extremely emotional ones. I thought the performances were exceptional, especially those of Joe Locke and Kit Connor, the leading duo, who managed to convey in a very genuine way all the innocence and intensity of teenage love with an incredible naturalness. As for the technical aspects... I feel that its visual aesthetics is very nice, the photography is warm and vibrant, and the small details of animation integrated organically in certain parts give it a super unique and charming touch, it was a really ingenious way to represent or pay homage to the small pages of the comic book on which it is based, you can perceive those little details that the author captured in her work.
The soundtrack was also very good, with indie and pop songs, it perfectly complements the tone and aesthetics of the series. I really liked that Heartstopper did not feel like a typical teen love series, like the thousands that already exist, I think that both its plot and its characters addressed very well issues such as bullying, eating disorders, family acceptance and the importance of having a support network of people who accept you and love you as you are. All of these aspects make you appreciate many things, and provide valuable lessons.

Esta serie tiene una genial capacidad para equilibrar momentos ligeros y divertidos, con otros más serios y sumamente emotivos. Las actuaciones me parecieron excepcionales, especialmente las de Joe Locke y Kit Connor, el dúo protagonista, quienes lograron transmitir de una manera muy genuina toda la inocencia y la intensidad del amor adolescente con una naturalidad increíble. En cuanto a los aspectos técnicos.. siento que su estética visual es muy bonita, la fotografía es cálida y vibrante, y los pequeños detalles de animación integrados de manera orgánica en ciertas partes la de un toque súper único y encantador, fue una manera realmente ingeniosa de representar u homenajear a las pequeñas hojas del comic en el que está basado, se perciben esos detallitos que la autora plasmo en su obra.La banda sonora también me pareció muy buena, con canciones indie y pop, complementa a la perfección el tono y la estítica de la serie. Me gusto mucho que Heartstopper no se sintiera como una típica serie de amor adolescente, como las miles que ya existen, creo que tanto su trama y sus personajes abordaron de manera muy acertadas temas como el bullying, los trastornos alimenticios, la aceptación familiar y la importancia de tener una red de apoyo, de personas que te acepten y quieran tal como eres. Todos estos aspectos te hacen apreciar muchas cosas, y te brindan lecciones valiosas.
I think the greatest strength of this series is its ability to generate empathy and emotional connection with the viewer. Each character is treated with respect and authenticity, which allows the audience to identify and feel represented, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
I am very happy that there are more and more audiovisual productions like this, I think it is very important that all people who are part of this community, feel represented, and that they can watch romantic series with good stories, which they can get attached to and that otherwise serve as support, so they feel they deserve a love like this, beautiful, real, and healthy... it is very good that they understand that there will be people they will meet who will accept and love them as they are, at the same time if you reflect on it, it is sad to see the infinity of people who unfortunately did not have anything like this series, who could not feel represented by anything, and who only lived with fear and sadness... I am very glad that as time goes by many more people are willing to accept and love each other, and this type of productions, although it may not seem so, helps a lot.
Anyway, Heartstopper is a funny, and very human series... its focus on love, and acceptance make it a unique television experience, it's a warm embrace not only for its LGBTQ+ representation, but also for its great ability to capture the essence of love with a lot of honesty and affection. If you are a fan of romantic comedies, or romantic series, whatever your sexual orientation, I highly recommend this series, it presents you with a super cute story, that makes you appreciate how love should really look and feel.

Creo que la mayor fortaleza de esta serie, es su capacidad para generar empatía y conexión emocional con el espectador. Cada personaje es tratado con respeto y autenticidad, lo que permite que el público se identifique, y se sienta representado, independientemente de su orientación sexual o identidad de género.Me alegra que cada vez más existan producciones audiovisuales como esta, me parece súper importante que todas las personas que son parte de esta comunidad, se sientan representadas, y que pueden observar series románticas con buenas historias, a las cuales le puedan agarrar cariño y que de otra manera les sirva de apoyo, para que sientan que merecen un amor así, bonito, real, y sano.. es muy bueno que entiendan que existirán personas a las que conocerán que los aceptaran y amaran tal como son, da cierta tristeza la infinidad de personas que lamentablemente no tuvieron nada como esta serie, que no pudieron sentirse representados con nada, y que solo vivieron con miedo y tristeza.. Me alegro mucho que conforme avanza el tiempo muchas más personas están dispuestas a aceptarse y a amarse, y este tipo de producciones, aunque no lo parezca, ayuda mucho.
En fin, Heartstopper es una serie divertida, y muy humana.. su enfoque en el amor, y la aceptación la convierten en una experiencia televisiva única, es un abrazo cálido no solo por su representación LGBTQ+, sino también por su gran capacidad para capturar la esencia del amor con mucha honestidad y cariño. Si eres fan de las comedias románticas, o de las series románticas, sea cual sea tu orientación sexual, te recomiendo mucho esta serie, te presenta una historia súper tierna, que te hace apreciar como realmente se debería ver y sentir el amor.
