I really liked this series, too bad we have to wait so long for a next season, just as you mention it has some characteristics that make it stand out from GOT, even with a slower pace, even though there are less characters, I think several of them are very good.
You are quite a fan, in my case I have not read books of this universe, only the series, although sometimes I would like to take a look at them.

yeah man. I was devastated to find out that we have to wait 2 years, maybe more, for season 2 to arrive.
Well, I haven't read the books either, but I have compared many of the things that happen in the books with what is told in the series.
