La historia de Maurizio Gucci es interesante, trágica y llena de intrigas. Él su familia básicamente se pelearon por el poder del imperio de la moda que ellos crearon, resultando “ganador” Maurizio. Pero que finalmente fue asesinado por orden de su ex mujer Patrizia Reggiani a quien llamaron “La viuda negra italiana”, un sicariato muy famoso que hasta la fecha no se olvida por las obvias razones.
El director de “La Casa Gucci” es Ridley Scott, uno de los más conocidos y respetados por filmes como Blade Runner (1982), Gladiator (2000), American Gangster (2007) entre otros filmes. Es decir, un hombre que sabe dirigir dramas violentos y llenos de intriga.
Pero hablemos del filme que nos corresponde hoy “La Casa Gucci”, quiero dejar el reparto principal porque cuenta con mucho talento.

Ahora bien, con Scott en la dirección y un reparto principal muy completo, nada podría salir mal. ¿O sí? Bueno, la trama de la película es sencilla de adivinar por las razones de la guerra de poder dentro de la familia Gucci, y la aparición de Patrizia en la vida de Maurizio. Pero en mi opinión fue bastante plana en algunos momentos, hasta aburrida. Adam es un gran actor, eso lo sabemos pero siento que le faltó más carácter a su papel. Si esperan una actuación épica por su parte, no sueñen.
Lady Gaga es una gran cantante, pero una actriz básica. Más allá de su actuación en “Ha Nacido una Estrella” un remake que hizo que su carrera levantara vuelo como actriz y en donde hizo un papel muy decente, en La Casa Gucci no hizo más que sobreactuar en mi opinión y su postulación a los Golden Globes, los Critic's Choice, los SAG Awards y, ¡los BAFTA! Son una perdida para el cine. Repito es una gran artista, pero no la veo como una actriz de verdad.
Ellos dos debían tener el peso de la película, cosa que no ocurrió. Un guion que pudo ser mejor, una fotografía que daba para mucho más y una banda sonora aburrida. Era lógico que el filme NO deslumbrara a pesar de contar con muchísimo talento inmerso. Pacino que es una leyenda, no me dio otra cosa que gestos.
Jeremy hizo un papel aceptable, y creo se pudo sacar más provecho de su relación con Muarizio pero eso no pasó. Un Jared Leto para el olvido, pésimo su trabajo. Un Paolo burdo, sin vida ni ganas. Jack, Salma y Camille solo reforzaron un filme que no hizo lo debido.
En líneas generales, el filme medio distrae pero no convenció.
Para mí es un 4/10.

Now, with Scott at the helm and a very full main cast, nothing could go wrong. Or could it? Well, the plot of the film is simple to guess for the reasons of the power war within the Gucci family, and the appearance of Patrizia in Maurizio's life. But in my opinion, it was pretty flat at times, even boring. Adam is a great actor, we know that but I feel his role lacked more character. If you expect an epic performance from him, don't dream.
Lady Gaga is a great singer, but a basic actress. Beyond her performance in "A Star Is Born" a remake that made her career take off as an actress and where she played a very decent role, in The Gucci House she did nothing but overact in my opinion, and her nomination for Golden Globes, Critic's Choice, SAG Awards and, BAFTA! They are a loss for cinema. I repeat she is a great performer, but I don't see her as a real actress.
The two of them should have weighted the film, which didn't happen. A script that could have been better, photography that could have been much better, and a boring soundtrack. It was logical that the film did not dazzle despite having a lot of talent involved. Pacino, who is a legend, gave me nothing but gestures.
Jeremy played an acceptable role, and I think more could have been made of his relationship with Maurizio but that didn't happen. A Jared Leto to forget, lousy job. A crude Paolo, without life or desire. Jack, Salma, and Camille only reinforced a film that didn't do what it should.
Overall, the film is a little distracting but not convincing.
For me, it's a 4/10.
It's a shame that a movie with all those heavy hitters did a lousy job. I was excited to watch it after seeing the cast.
