Hola cinéfilos de hive, hoy he querido compartir con ustedes mis impresiones de la cinta The Great Wall.

“Para los que no han visto la película este post contiene muchos spoilers”.La gran muralla es una película chino – estadounidense, cargada de acción y fantasía, que se estrenó en china en el año 2016 y en Estados Unidos en el año 2017, donde la trama gira alrededor de la Gran Muralla China, en ella podemos ver un grupo de mercenarios que están en búsqueda de la pólvora negra los cuales están siendo atacados por un grupo de bandidos. Abatidos por el ataque los mercenarios buscan esconderse en una cueva al caer la noche, bajando la guardia son atacados por una bestia desconocida.
Hello hive moviegoers, today I wanted to share with you my impressions of the film The Great Wall.
WARNING: "For those who have not seen the movie this post contains many spoilers.".
The Great Wall is a Chinese-American film, loaded with action and fantasy, which was released in China in 2016 and in the United States in 2017, where the plot revolves around the Great Wall of China, in it we can see a group of mercenaries who are in search of black powder which are being attacked by a group of bandits, beaten by the attack the mercenaries seek to hide in a cave at nightfall, lowering their guard are attacked by an unknown beast.

Tras el enfrentamiento solo quedan dos de los mercenarios Tovar y Williams quienes logran matar a la bestia cortándole una mano y lanzándola por un acantilado, en la mañana siguiente singuen con su camino pero no se logran librar de los bandidos quienes los venían rastreando huyendo de ellos llegan hasta la base norte de la Gran Muralla China donde no les queda opción que entregarse con este nuevo adversario o pelar con los bandidos.
After the confrontation, only two of the mercenaries, Tovar and Williams, managed to kill the beast by cutting off a hand and throwing it over a cliff. The next morning they continued on their way but they could not get rid of the bandits who had been tracking them, fleeing from them they arrived at the northern base of the Great Wall of China where they had no choice but to surrender to this new adversary or fight with the bandits.

Es magnífico apreciar esta majestuosa fortificación cabe resaltar que la misma fue construida y reconstruida entre el siglo V, A.C. y el siglo XVI para proteger la frontera norte del imperio chino en el cual se ambienta esta película y es patrimonio de la humanidad designada por la Unesco en el año 1987.
It is magnificent to appreciate this majestic fortification, it is worth mentioning that it was built and rebuilt between the V century B.C. and the XVI century to protect the northern border of the Chinese empire in which this film is set and is a World Heritage Site designated by Unesco in 1987.

Esta parte llama mucho mi atención por el diseño de las armaduras de los captores o generales de la guardia de la gran muralla, pues tiene un estilo pre samurái y también por las incorporaciones de los colores y los símbolos que las diferencian de las demás.
Entre los primeros símbolos que vemos están:
Águila:
Armadura de color rojo formada por arqueros.Tigre:
Armadura de color amarillo la cual es parte de los guerreros de asedio.Ciervo:
Armadura morada formada por los jinetes a caballo.Grulla:
Armadura azul formada totalmente por mujeres guerreras en artes acrobáticos.Y por ultimo:
Oso:
Armadura negra formada por los guerreros cuerpo a cuerpo.This part attracts my attention because of the design of the armor of the captors or generals of the guard of the great wall, as it has a pre samurai style and also because of the incorporations of colors and symbols that differentiate them from the others.
Among the first symbols we see are:
Eagle: red colored armor formed by archers.
Tiger: yellow armor which is part of the siege warriors.
Deer: purple armor formed by the horsemen on horseback.
Crane: blue armor formed entirely by women warriors in acrobatic arts.
And finally:
Bear: black armor formed by melee warriors.

Tovar y Williams al ser capturados, son interrogados por los generales que protegen la gran muralla, en ese mismo momento se debatía si matarlos o encerrarlos cuando de pronto se inicia el asedio a la gran muralla, al sonido de los tambores todos se ponen en alerta y preparados para repeler el ataque.
Tovar and Williams when captured, are interrogated by the generals that protect the great wall, at that very moment they were debating whether to kill them or lock them up when suddenly the siege to the great wall begins, at the sound of the drums everyone gets alert and ready to repel the attack.

El sonido hecho por los tambores aumenta mis niveles de emoción al esperar ver el encuentro…

Mientras llevan a Tovar y Williams a sus celdas el estratega Wang les explica que son esos monstruos con los que se enfrentaran llamándolos Taoteis, sin embargo con el nerviosismo por la batalla el guardia que poseía las llaves de la celda no consigue dar a tiempo con ellas, por lo cual el estratega Wang decide enviarlos a lugar de la batalla custodiados por el mismo guardia.
While they take Tovar and Williams to their cells, strategist Wang explains to them who are those monsters they will face, calling them Taoteis, however, with the nervousness of the battle, the guard who had the keys to the cell does not manage to find them in time, so strategist Wang decides to send them to the battle site, guarded by the same guard.

Confundidos Tovar y Williams tras ver la magnitud del ejercito de la muralla empiezan a establecer como están organizados todos allí, sin embargo siguen dudando de porque tanto desplegué con tal muralla, que tan poderoso enemigo merecía todos esos preparativos.
Confused Tovar and Williams after seeing the magnitude of the army on the wall begin to establish how they are all organized there, however they continue to doubt why so much deployed with such a wall, that such a powerful enemy deserved all those preparations.
Son espectaculares las escenas, dignas de mantenerte cautivado.
The scenes are spectacular, worthy of keeping you captivated.

Tras un momento de tensión el enemigo hace su entrada, la horda de Taoteis se abalanza contra la muralla y da comienzo a esta batalla.
After a moment of tension the enemy makes its entrance, the horde of Taoteis rushes against the wall and the battle begins.

No cabe duda amo el sonido de los tambores que dan inicio a la batalla.
There is no doubt that I love the sound of the drums that start the battle.

Y hace su entrada la reina de los Taoteis
And the queen of the Taoteis makes her entrance.
La reina de los Taoteis, los dirige a través de ondas sónicas, enfocándose en los lugares que deben atacar, apilándose en la muralla para llegar a la cima.
The queen of the Taoteis, directs them through sonic waves, focusing on the places to attack, piling up on the wall to reach the top.

Cuando los Taoteis logran subir, Tovar y Williams se dan cuenta de la clase de enemigo que eran los Taoteis también se dan cuenta que hay un hombre europeo libre en la muralla, los que le da una idea de escape de sus captores, sin embargo la batalla los envuelve en ella es morir o pelear, el guardia que los custodiaba se ve obligado a pelear y es liberado por el misterioso hombre que no formaba parte de la guardia. Así entonces demuestran sus habilidades en combate cuerpo a cuerpo y arquería, tras una intensa batalla la reina Taoteis decide retirarse de la batalla al ver que sus tropas mermaban con rapidez, dando así fin de este encuentro, no obstante la demostración de combate de Tovar y Williams no paso desapercibida, ganándose el respeto del General Shao.
When the Taoteis manage to climb, Tovar and Williams realize what kind of enemy the Taoteis were they also realize that there is a free European man on the wall, which gives them an idea of escape from their captors, however the battle engulfs them in it is die or fight, the guard who was guarding them is forced to fight and is freed by the mysterious man who was not part of the guard. After an intense battle, Queen Taoteis decides to withdraw from the battle when she sees that her troops are rapidly diminishing, thus ending this encounter. However, Tovar and Williams' demonstration of combat did not go unnoticed, earning the respect of General Shao.

Una vez en las barracas Tovar y Williams se encuentran con Sr. Ballard el hombre europeo que vieron en la muralla este permanecía cautivo desde hace años allí y también iba en busca de la pólvora negra, juntos idean un plan para hacerse con la pólvora y huir.
Once in the barracks Tovar and Williams meet Mr. Ballard, the European man they saw on the wall, who had been held captive there for years and was also looking for the black powder, together they devise a plan to get the powder and escape.
Tras la batalla, se reúnen todo para festejar el encuentro y rendirle honor a los dos mercenarios y luego explicándoles que ellos formaban parte de una orden denominada la Orden sin nombre y que sirven para proteger el reino del ataque de los Taoteis.

Al llegar la noche, unos Taoteis logran infiltrase en la muralla matando a unos guardias, el general Shao y la comandante Lin deciden investigar junto la unidad de ciervos pero estos son emboscados en una trampa, siendo herido de gravedad el general Shao, sin embargo el general al verse a punto de morir deja a cargo como nueva general a la comandante Lin.
After the battle, they gather to celebrate the encounter and pay honor to the two mercenaries and then explaining that they were part of an order called the Order without name and that they serve to protect the kingdom from the attack of the Taoteis.
At nightfall, some Taoteis manage to infiltrate the wall killing some guards, General Shao and Commander Lin decide to investigate with the deer unit but they are ambushed in a trap, being seriously wounded General Shao, however the general being about to die leaves Commander Lin in charge as the new general.

El funeral del General Shao está lleno del simbolismo y como es tradicional en china todo el cortejo lleva una cinta o tela blanca que acompaña el ritual también se siente la majestuosidad y el espiritualismo en el ambiente una escena bien concebida.
The funeral of General Shao is full of symbolism and as it is traditional in China, all the cortege carries a white ribbon or cloth that accompanies the ritual, also the majesty and spiritualism is felt in the atmosphere, a well conceived scene.
Luego del funeral los generales no dan descanso para continuar con las estrategias para vencer a los taoteis, al llegar un enviado de palacio con un pergamino que contiene datos sobre estos monstruos planean una estrategia en la cual interviene Williams donde les dice como cazar a unos de ellos para probar una teoría del estratega Wang, pero esto supone un retraso en los planes de huida que tenia con Tovar el cual se muestra enojado por la participación de Williams.

After the funeral the generals do not give rest to continue with the strategies to defeat the taoteis, when an envoy from the palace arrives with a scroll containing data on these monsters they plan a strategy in which Williams intervenes where he tells them how to hunt some of them to test a theory of the strategist Wang, but this means a delay in the plans of escape that he had with Tovar who is angry by the participation of Williams.
La mañana siguiente los taoteis nuevamente atacan a la muralla y los generales ponen en marcha el plan de Williams, en un enfrentamiento logran adormecer a uno de estos monstruos y enjaularlo, con la ayuda de un magneto que tenia Williams logran dormir por completo en la jaula al monstruo y el enviado de palacio decide llevarle como presente al emperador la presa cautiva sin importar las protestas del estratega Wang y Lin.
The following morning the taoteis again attack the wall and the generals put Williams' plan into action, in a confrontation they manage to lull one of these monsters to sleep and cage it, with the help of a magnet that Williams had they manage to put the monster to sleep completely in the cage and the envoy of the palace decides to take the captive prey as a present to the emperor regardless of the protests of the strategist Wang and Lin.
Por otro lado Tovar y Ballard llevan a cabo su plan para huir con la pólvora negra, Williams intentan persuadir a Tovar de no hacerlo pero ellos continúan sin él y escapan, al darse cuenta de los sucedió los generales ponen en celda a Williams por desconfiar de sus intenciones. Mientras tanto el taoteis que se encuentra en palacio es despertado al retirar el magneto que lo atontaba y este envía una señal sonora a la reina de su ubicación y esta se pone en marcha directo hacia en imperio chino. Envueltos nuevamente por la batalla la general Lin decide ir tras los taoteis en globo y dejar en libertad a Williams, este por su parte decide participar también en la lucha, junto con el estratega Wang idealizan un plan para acabar con la reina de los taoteis y así poner fin a su ejército de monstruos.
On the other hand Tovar and Ballard carry out their plan to flee with the black powder, Williams try to persuade Tovar not to do it but they continue without him and escape, when realizing what happened the generals put Williams in jail because they distrust his intentions. Meanwhile the taoteis that is in the palace is awakened when removing the magnet that stunned him and this one sends a sound signal to the queen of its location and this one sets off directly towards the Chinese empire. Involved again by the battle, General Lin decides to go after the taoteis in a balloon and release Williams, who for his part decides to also participate in the fight, along with the strategist Wang devise a plan to kill the queen of the taoteis and thus put an end to his army of monsters.

Tras vencer a la reina con la ayuda de Williams es recompensado y le dan a elegir entre llevarse la pólvora negra o salvar a su amigo Tovar del encarcelamiento por robar a la orden, con lo que el decide elegir a su amigo y embarcarse rumbo de retorno a Europa.
After defeating the queen with the help of Williams, he is rewarded and given the choice between taking the black powder or saving his friend Tovar from imprisonment for stealing from the order, so he decides to choose his friend and embark back to Europe.

En mi opinión es una película genial para ver en más de una ocasión, los efectos especiales y la música hacen de esta cinta un espectáculo que te atrapará desde el primer momento así que la recomiendo totalmente.

Especially about the gunpowder, that movie speculates on that theory hahaha.
