Saludos, mi bella comunidad C/Movies & TV Shows, estuve entretenida esta semana con una serie que me recomendaron que es considerada del género drama fantástico, yo le añadiría que tiene su toque de intriga (Me encanta la intriga) porque te mantiene a la expectativa y cuando menos crees te da un vuelco total y nada de lo que pensabas era así.
Greetings, my beautiful community C/Movies & TV Shows! I was entertained this week with a series that was recommended to me and is considered to be in the fantasy drama genre. I would add that it has a touch of intrigue (I love intrigue) because it keeps you in expectation, and when you least expect it, it gives you a total turnaround and nothing you thought was so.
Esta serie definitivamente es así, ella se estrenó el pasado marzo del presente año y fue producida y distribuida en Paramount, si tienen MagisTV también pueden verla por allí.

La trama se centra en la historia de Maddie Nears, una adolescente que acaba de morir y se encuentra atrapada en el limbo que en esta historia se trata de la escuela, Maddie descubre que no es la única que se encuentra en esa situación porque hay otros adolescentes de los 70, 80 y 90 que murieron dentro del colegio, a diferencia de todos, ella no recuerda cómo murió.
The plot focuses on the story of Maddie Nears, a teenager who has just died and is trapped in limbo, which in this story is about school. Maddie discovers that she is not the only one in that situation because there are other teenagers from the 70s, 80s and 90s who died inside the school, unlike everyone else, she does not remember how she died.
Al inicio Maddie Nears es acompañada por lo que para mí es su especie de guía del más allá que es Charlye, un joven de la comunidad LGTBQ+ de los 80, cuando todavía no existía dicha comunidad y en la que estaba pasando por una edad en donde las hormonas hacen de las suyas, pero sus intereses amorosos no eran bien vistos para la época, este chico murió por una intoxicación y tiene una historia muy bonita que nos cuenta mientras se desarrolla la trama.
At the beginning, Maddie Nears is accompanied by what for me is her sort of guide to the afterlife, which is Charlye, a young man of the LGTBQ+ community of the 80s, when there was still no such community and in which he was going through an age where hormones do their thing, but his love interests were not well seen for the time. This guy died from intoxication and has a very nice story that he tells us while the plot develops.
Están los demás chicos del grupo: Waly, un jugador de futbol americano que murió en un partido, Rhonda, una chica que falleció a manos de su orientador, Mr Martin, un profesor que murió en los 50 en un incendio y otros personajes más como Dawn que aunque no es de los principales, su participación y desenlace en la trama le da un toque interesante.
There are the other guys in the group: Waly, a soccer player who died in a game; Rhonda, a girl who died at the hands of her counselor; Mr. Martin, a teacher who died in the 50s in a fire; and other characters such as Dawn, who, although she is not one of the main characters, her participation and outcome in the plot give it an interesting touch.
Por otra parte, está el mundo de los vivos como le dicen en la serie en donde se encuentran los amigos de Maddie: Simón, quien pudiese de alguna forma ser su alma gemela (Ya verán por qué lo digo), Xavier; su novio, Nicole; su mejor amiga, Sandra, quien es su mamá, Mr. Anderson, que es un profesor de confianza, Claire que vendría siendo algo así como su Némesis y otros personajes que complementan esta historia.
On the other hand, there is the world of the living, as they call it in the series, where Maddie's friends are: Simon, who could somehow be her soul mate (you'll see why I say that); Xavier; her boyfriend, Nicole; her best friend, Sandra, who is her mom; Mr. Anderson, who is a trusted teacher; Claire, who would be something like her Nemesis; and other characters that complement this story.
En el mundo de los vivos hay dos hipótesis, una que Maddie fue asesinada y todos son sospechosos porque cada uno tuvo un motivo para eliminarla y está la otra hipótesis que dice que Maddie escapó por problemas familiares (No les soltaré más prendas para que descubran toda la magia).

En lo personal creo que esta serie les puede gustar a los adultos contemporáneos que fueron adolescentes en los 80 y a los adolescentes de hoy porque tiene una mezcla interesante de cómo eran y cómo pensaban los adolescentes de antes y los de ahora y pues la tristeza que puede embargar a las personas que se quedan luego de una muerte prematura y lo que piensan ellos luego de haberse ido inesperadamente.
Personally, I think this series can appeal to contemporary adults who were teenagers in the 80s and to teenagers today because it has an interesting mix of what teenagers were like, how they thought then and now, and the sadness that can be felt by people who are left behind after an untimely death and what they think after they are unexpectedly gone.
La serie la terminé de ver ayer, me disfruté cada uno de los 8 capítulos porque los vi a detalles para que no se me pasara nada y pues no sé si a otros les pasa, pero siento como una especie de duelo y ansiedad a la vez porque terminó la primera temporada y debo esperar al 2024 para ver la segunda y estoy así como pensando en cómo puede salir de esta Maddie, logrará regresar o pasará al siguiente plano, sus compañeros del más allá ¿lograrán el descanso eterno y esperado? Pues, todavía no lo sabremos, así que espero con ansias el 2024 que me regalen una muy buena segunda temporada.
I finished watching the series yesterday. I enjoyed each of the 8 chapters because I watched them in detail, so I didn't miss anything, and I don't know if it happens to others, but I feel like a kind of mourning and anxiety at the same time because the first season ended, and I have to wait until 2024 to see the second one, and I'm thinking about how Maddie can get out of this—will she make it back, or will she pass to the next plane, and will her companions in the beyond achieve the eternal and expected rest? Well, we still won't know, so I'm looking forward to 2024 to be treated to a very good second season.

Me entretuvo bastante esta serie y más que los 80' me gustó ese tono de serie de los 90'. Me pareció genial que tenga ciertas reglas y que el misterio de lo que le ocurrió a la protagonista siempre sea el teme principal y aunque presenta respectivos clichés de series juveniles, creo que es una buena historia.
Yo decidí ver "Espíritus Escolares" cuando supe que se confirmó una segunda temporada.
Imagínate que nos corten la inspiración de ver la segunda temporada jajajaja ay no!
I'm not a big fan of youth series, but from what you say about this series, I'm going to watch the first episode, hopefully I'll be hooked and then watch the whole season.
You will see that when the first chapter is finishing you will say "what" and you will see the second chapter with excitement

No conozco de esta serie y se escucha muy buena por la manera como se va desarrollando y sobre todo eso de involucrar los dos mundos y a partir de allí crear una gran producción. Además todo se mantiene en la escuela, así que no debe ser nada agradable estudiar allí jajja. La buscaré para verla y disfrutar de algo distinto en el mundo de cine y lo que no me gusta de las series es que sin continua esperar tanto tiempo para que salga la continuación de la misma.
Ya eso de morir joven es bastante malo, imagínate hacerlo en el liceo y quedarte allí eternamente, los productos se las arreglaron muy bien para que la serie no fuese plana y aburrida, yo le doy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
