I finally have the time to share with you my opinion about a series that I was watching on Netflix with certain expectations, since I had followed the real case on which it is based and I was curious to know how they represented it, I am referring to Las Muertas
Finalmente consigo el tiempo para compartir con ustedes mi opinión acerca de una serie que estuve viendo en Netflix con ciertas expectativas, ya que yo había seguido el caso real en el que está basada y me daba curiosidad saber como lo representaban, me refiero a Las Muertas.
Overview/Resumen
The story follows the Baladro sisters, who run several brothels in towns and even engage in human trafficking, but all this is exposed following the attack by Serafina Baladro against the baker Simón (her ex-partner) and as a result of this, investigations began that exposed the abuse and even the deaths of some women.
La historia sigue a las hermanas Baladro, quienes dirigen algunos prostíbulos en pueblos e incluso se dedican a la trata de personas, pero todo esto queda expuesto a raíz del atentando por parte de Serafina Baladro contra el panadero Simón (su ex pareja) y a raíz de esto comenzaron las investigaciones que expusieron los maltratos e incluso las muertes de algunas mujeres.

My Opinion/Mi Opinión
I'm not going to say that the series is boring because it really isn't, although it uses a dark humor (the same one that the author of the literary novel uses) I think it was successful in showing the sad and painful reality of the most vulnerable women who lived in the remote towns and villages, especially in Mexico in the 20th century, however there are a couple of things that bother me, first of all, Netflix's excessive obsession with putting those unnecessary sexual scenes in each of its series, especially in Latin America, they are just like that, unnecessary because they don't contribute anything to the plot, they divert attention from the main theme, and in this way the series hardly shows what we are supposed to want to see, more escape attempts, the issue of corruption, investigations, anyway...
No voy a decir que la serie es aburrida porque realmente no lo es, aunque maneja un humor negro (el mismo que maneja el autor de la novela literaria) pienso que tuvo éxito en mostrar la triste y dolorosa realidad de las mujeres más vulnerables que vivían en los pueblos y aldeas retiradas, en especial en México del siglo XX, sin embargo hay un par de cosas que me molestan, en primer lugar esa excesiva obsesión que tiene Netflix en meter esas innecesarias escenas sexuales en cada una de sus series, en especial de Latinoamérica, son tal cuál, innecesarias porque no aportan nada a la trama, desvían la atención del tema principal, y de esta manera la serie casi no muestra lo que supone queremos ver, más intentos de escape, el tema de la corrupción, las investigaciones, en fin...
On the other hand, another thing that bothers me is that, even though I know it is based on the novel of the same name by Jorge Ibargüengoitia, which followed the lives of the Baladro sisters, these were in turn inspired by Las Poquianchis, murderous sisters who kidnapped girls, prostituted them and when they were no longer useful to them, they killed them, performed abortions and it is said that the places where they lived and worked were full of buried and walled up corpses, and although the narration of the novel maintains a satirical tone, at least it emphasizes the deaths orchestrated by the Baladro sisters (Las Poquianchis) while the series shows that most of the victims murdered each other and that the survivors even attributed to the sisters crimes that they never committed.
Por otra parte otra cosa que me molesta es que, a pesar de que sé que está basada en la novela homónima de Jorge Ibargüengoitia, que seguía la vida de las hermanas Baladro, estas estaban inspiradas a su vez en Las Poquianchis, unas hermanas asesinas que secuestraban muchachas, las prostituían y cuando ya no les servían las mataban, practicaron abortos y se cuenta que los lugares donde residían y trabajaban estaban llenos de cadáveres sepultados y tapiados, y aunque la narración de la novela mantiene un tono satírico, al menos hace énfasis en las muertes orquestadas por las hermanas Baladro (Las Poquianchis) mientras que la serie muestra que la mayoría de las victimas se asesinaron entre ellas y que las sobrevivientes incluso adjudicaron a las hermanas crímenes que ellas nunca cometieron.
However, if I can say one thing in favor of the series, it is that it has an excellent crew of very talented actors. In addition, the setting is phenomenal; it really takes you back in time just by watching a scene: the cars, the locations, the lighting, the costumes, EVERYTHING is wonderful, and I would really give them a 10/10 in this regard.
Sin embargo si algo puedo decir a favor de la serie es que cuenta con un excelente crew de actores, muy talentosos, además la ambientación es fenomenal, de verdad te traslada en el tiempo con solo ver una escena: los autos, los lugares, la iluminación, el vestuario TODO es maravilloso y de verdad en este aspecto yo les daría un 10/10.
Well, I really didn't like it that much, but you'll probably see it from a different perspective and end up enjoying it. Ultimately, it serves to illustrate a sad reality that has always existed, but used to happen with greater impunity. Thank you so much for reading this review. I send you a big hug.

I wonder what this series is really all about. Although you already shared with me the gist of it, I'm still curious as to why even you don't like it so much, but still you gave it a 10? Plus, you seemed to have a couple or more aspects that bother you...So I wonder what made you rate it perfectly.
