At first the film can be disconcerting, and some viewers may be understandably disappointed. The narrative does not follow a linear order. The constant use of flashbacks can be disorienting at times; also contributing to the disorientation is the fact that the mature Leda and the young Leda are played by two different actresses. The most usual in these cases is that it is done by the same actor with the help of a good makeup.

Now, I loved several aspects, first to see a young woman being equally or more astute and deductive than her renowned brother, second to see how Sherlock enjoys her being as good or better a detective than him and third to see how she narrates the way in which her mother prepared her without her knowing it for what her life would be like, without her and for a world totally different from the one established for the moment.

I'm sure I wasn't the only one confused by the whole geopolitical aspect of the TV show, not understanding exactly what the conflict between Ravka and the old country was. When the characters were discussing their travel or raiding plans, I failed to understand how long it took them to travel such a distance or which places they had to go through first.
