It is an excellent film in terms of direction, storytelling, and acting; I think it had been a while since I had thoroughly enjoyed a film as much as Sinners. This film does not hide what happened during the era of slavery and what subsequently led to the emergence of racist groups. It is a part of history and how it influences the characters, but I believe, or rather, I reaffirm that there is no outright propaganda, but rather a celebration of African-American culture without clearly hiding the atrocious moments in its history, and by adding supernatural horror with vampires, it elevates it even further.
