Plot
The film is about a dock worker who is going through a recent separation from his family, his wife leaves him and takes his two children, who by law visit him from time to time. Aside from being one of the best movies of the science fiction genre that I have ever seen, it is also the movie that made me completely love the genius and the work that Steven Spielberg does in all his works. And it goes without saying that the success this movie has depends so much on its direction, script, special effects, sound effects and cast. Not to mention that it has scenes and moments that are simply memorable. A film that was and still is acclaimed by many around the world and ended up being an icon for both popular culture and the genre itself.
On the production side, I am quite fascinated to enjoy a film with a script and effects that are incredible. The way of showing us everything that the protagonist and his family go through, both in second and mostly in third person, is an incredible experience. But, what gives it that spectacular touch are the special effects themselves, which we can enjoy throughout the film, with scenes of chaos, explosions and even the very design and CGI of the machines and aliens. However, none of this is scarier and more traumatic than the sound effects in this movie, which is the "icing on the cake".

Aparte de ser una de las mejores películas del género de ciencia ficción que he visto en mi vida, también es la película que me hizo amar por completo la genialidad y el trabajo que realiza Steven Spielberg en todas sus obras. Y no está de más decir que el éxito que tiene esta película depende tanto de su dirección, guión, efectos especiales, efectos de sonido y elenco. Eso, sin contar que tiene escenas y momentos que son simplemente memorables. Por el lado de producción, me fascina bastante disfrutar de una película con un guión y efectos que son increíbles. La forma de mostrarnos todo lo que vive y padece el protagonista y su familia tanto en segunda como mayormente en tercera persona es una experiencia increíble. Pero, lo que le da ese toque espectacular son los mismos efectos especiales, los cuales podemos disfrutar durante toda la película, con escenas de caos, explosiones y hasta el mismo diseño y CGI de las máquinas y los extraterrestres. Sin embargo , nada de esto da más miedo y traumas que los efectos de sonido que tiene esta película, lo cual es la “cereza del pastel”.

The shots of him running are, as always, a distinctive touch from our beloved actor. But, what I like the most is the "father-daughter" relationship he shows us with Dakota Fanning, who plays the younger daughter, who also gives an excellent performance.
The problems he has with his older son and the relationship they both develop along the way, as they try to escape the invasion, is another detail that really catches my attention, as it gives that bitter and imperfect touch to the protagonist. Finally, a detail that fascinated me from the first minute of the film, is the narration of Morgan Freeman, which gives that essence that he always transmits in this film, as well as a valuable lesson and reflection, after a story out of a science fiction and space horror book.
Personally, I give it a score of 9/10 as far as the sci-fi/horror genre is concerned.

Por otro lado, el elenco es fantástico, ya que de por sí Tom Cruise hace un excelente trabajo como protagonista al presentarnos un personaje común y cualquiera con problemas familiares y económicos intentando sobrevivir con sus dos hijos de una invasión. Los planos de él corriendo son, como siempre, un toque distintivo de nuestro querido actor. Pero, lo que más me gusta es la relación “padre e hija” que este nos muestra con Dakota Fanning, quien hace el papel de la hija menor, la cual también realiza una excelente actuación, la verdad.
Los problemas que él tiene con su hijo mayor y la relación que ambos desarrollan en el camino, mientras intentan escapar de la invasión, es otro detalle que llama mucho la atención, ya que le da ese toque amargo e imperfecto al protagonista. Por último, un detalle que me fascinó mucho desde el primer minuto de la película, es la narración de Morgan Freeman, lo cual le da esa esencia que él siempre transmite en esta película, amén de una valiosa lección y reflexión, luego de una historia salida de un libro de ciencia ficción y terror espacial.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 9/10 en lo que respecta al género de ciencia ficción y terror.

Peliculon ❤️ esta pelicula es una genialidad del cine, los efectos visuales, los efectos de sonido, la historia como se va desarrollando y la genialidad con la que le dieron un final bastante coherente (y para prestarle atencion). Sin mencionar el elenco de lujo que tuvo, Dakota es de mis actrices favoritas, sigo su trabajo desde muy pequeña y ya desde esa edad demostro gran talento para la actuacion 👌
La primera aparicion de las maquinas es brutal, cuando la veia de niña me daban miedo jaja y literal pensaba que ellas eran los extraterrestres 😂
El sonido que emitían esas máquinas, ufffffffff... Es puro terror del verdadero. Una tremenda película, con tremendos efectos especiales y de sonido, y si, la actuación también es espectacular, sobre todo la de Tom Cruise.
