The film was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. There were some plot holes that I didn't care for such as the Predator not understanding its own tech and ultimately paying the price for it. Despite that and a few other points like with the bear, I still think that this is a great film.

Sure you are right and i think the bear was just a subject that revealed to naru the predator and how it was since she never seen it before. That was just her first encounter
It was great to see the bear actually get the upper hand at one point but then the Predator effortlessly lifts it up into the air. I found that funny.
