I watched this series when it premiered just because of Eliza, she was known as Faith from Buffy the vampire slayer and that show had just finished, when I saw she was going to star in her own show it got my immediate attention. And honestly this is where I first saw Zack Galifianakis, his character Davis is weird, funny weird... later when I saw him in the Hangover my reaction was "Hey! that's Davis! he still has awkward social abilities..."
You'll see known faces there, such as Jason Priestley as a later regular, Matt Boomer, Cobie Smulders as a guest star in one episode, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan also in one episode.
The series was created by Jon Harmon Feldman and it lasted only 2 seasons although season 2 only had 6 episodes, while season 1 had 20.
Vi esta serie cuando se estrenó solo por Eliza, era conocida por ser Faith en Buffy la Cazavampiros y ese programa recién había finalizado, cuando vi que ella iba a estelarizar su propia serie de inmediato captó mi atención. Y honestamente aquí es donde vi por primera vez a Zack Galifianakis, su personaje Davis es extraño, divertidamente extraño... luego cuando lo vi en ¿Qué pasó ayer? mi reacción fue de "¡Hey ese es Davis! aun tiene sus extrañas habilidades sociales..."
Verán caras familiares ahí, como Jason Priestley como un regular avanzada la serie, Matt Boomer, Cobie Smulders de invitada en un episodio y Jeffrey Dean Morgan también en un episodio.
La serie fue creada por Jon Harmon Feldman y duró solo 2 temporadas, aunque la temporada 2 solo tuvo 6 episodios mientras que la temporada 1 tuvo 20.

The story is simple, Tru Davies is a medicine student who wanted to work as an intern in a hospital but found a job at the city morgue, she didn't want it at first but on her first night there, the first corpse she received and started to analyse suddenly opened her eyes and asked for help, after that moment Tru woke up in her bed, surprised she noticed it was Monday again, she didn't know why that happened but what she wanted to do was to save that woman.
Basically every episode was like that, someone dies, Tru finds out something about them while analyzing the body or the victim's belongings and if they ask for help, she repeats her day and has to find and save the persons with the little bits she found out about them.
La historia es simple, Tru Davies es una estudiante de medicina que quería trabajar como interna en un hospital, pero encontró trabajo en la morgue de la ciudad, al inicio no quería pero en su primera noche, el primer cadáver que recibió y comenzó a analizar repentinamente abrió los ojos y pidió ayuda, luego de ese momento Tru despertó en su cama, sorprendida se dio cuenta que era Lunes otra vez, no sabía por qué ocurrió eso pero ahora solo quería salvar a esa mujer.
Básicamente cada episodio era así, alguien muere, Tru descubre cosas sobre las víctimas al analizar el cuerpo o las pertenencias y si piden ayuda, se repite el día para ella y tiene que encontrar y salvar a las personas con la poca información que tiene de ellos.

Tru has two siblings, Meredith her older sister and Harrison his younger brother. When they were kids they lost their mother when someone broke into their house, only Tru was there with her mom who asked her to hide, Tru remained hidden and saw when the intruder shot her mom who died in the spot.
They grew up distant from their dad who started a new life, each kid deal with the loss in their own way, Meredith found shelter in drugs although she became a business woman who apparently had a successful life. Harrison became a gambler who wasn't always lucky, and Tru grew up with the blame of not being able to save her mom.
Tru tiene dos hermanos, Meredith la hermana mayor y Harrison el hermano menor. Cuando eran niños perdieron a su madre cuando alguien irrumpió en su hogar, solo Tru estaba ahí con su mamá quien le pidió se escondiera, Tru permaneció oculta y vio cuando el intruso le disparó a su mamá quien murió en el sitio.
Crecieron distantes de su padre quien comenzó una nueva vida, cada hijo lidió con la pérdida a su manera, Meredith encontró refugio en las drogas aunque se convirtió en mujer de negocios que en apariencia lleva una vida exitosa. Harrison se hizo apostador quien no siempre tenía suerte, y Tru creció con la culpa de no haber podido salvar a su mamá.
She manages to save her, and fully accepts her job at the morgue where Davis, her boss, acts as if he's hiding something all the time.
As time passes by, she accepts more and more her abilities and trust her secret to her brother Harrison who at first doesn't believe her, until she gives him a list of where to be at what time and what to do in each place, he follows the list and until then he believes her, after that he helps her every time she is having repeated day.
When she confesses her secret to Davis he takes it very well and believes her immediately, time later Davis reveals Tru that he met her mother and he helped her, she had the same ability as Tru.
En la primera noche de Tru en la morgue, se asusta cuando el cadaver que analiza se despierta y dice "ayúdame", antes de que Tru pueda reaccionar todo el día rebobina, encuentra a la mujer que le pidió ayuda pero no sabe como salvarla, así que la sigue para averiguar mas sobre su vida y quien pueda posiblemente matarla.
Se las arregla para salvarla, y acepta por completo el trabajo en la morgue donde Davis, su jefe, actúa todo el tiempo como si estuviera ocultando algo.
Conforme pasa el tiempo, acepta más y más sus habilidades y le confía su secreto a su hermano Harrison quien al inicio no le cree, hasta que ella le da una lista de donde y a qué hora estar y qué hacer en cada sitio, el sigue la lista y hasta entonces le cree, luego de eso le ayuda cada vez que tiene un día repetido.
Cuando le confiesa su secreto a Davis, el lo toma muy bien y le cree de inmediato, tiempo después Davis le revela a Tru que conoció a su madre y la ayudaba, ella tenía la misma habilidad que Tru.
Tru meets Luc, both start a relationship, at first Luc accepts Tru's lifestyle of always running of in the middle of their dates or changing plans without previous notice, but later in their relation he feels she doesn't trust him with whatever she's hiding and both take a time off.
Another person starts working at the morgue, Jack Harper, played by Jason Priestley. Both him and Tru start to keep an eye on each other because Jack knows Tru is hiding something and Tru is intrigued as to why he doesn't repeat his actions as he originally did before the day repeated.
Turns out both have the same ability, which neither of them can control when it happens but both are relieved when they know they can understand each other.
Tru conoce a Luc, ambos comienzan una relación, al inicio Luc acepta el estilo de vida de Tru de siempre estar corriendo en medio de sus citas o cambiando planes sin previo aviso, pero conforme avanza la relación el siente que ella no confía en el con lo que sea que está escondiendo y se toman un tiempo separados.
Otra persona comienza a trabajar en la morgue, Jack Harper, interpretado por Jason Priestley, Ambos, el y Tru comienzan a vigilarse porque Jack sabe que Tru oculta algo y Tru está intrigada por el hecho de que el no repite sus acciones como originalmente las hizo antes de que se repita el día.
Resulta que ambos tienen la misma habilidad, la cual ninguno puede controlar cuando ocurre pero ambos están aliviados cuando saben que pueden entenderse mutuamente.
But things aren't as good as they seem, Jack indeed gets to repeat days but his duty is to make those deaths happen, he's the opposite of Tru to keep life balanced, Tru believes everyone deserves a second chance and Jack believes that every one's death is destined.
Both race against time and against each other to save or let die, things don't go well for Tru when Jack wants to teach her a lesson, that for every person she saves another one dies anyway to keep the balance. She learns this the hard way when she saves her brother but Luc dies, she desperately begs for Luc to wake up and ask for her help but that never happens, she has to go on without the chance to try and save her brother and her love.
The more Tru learns about Jack the more secrets about her family she finds, she finds out that her dad and Jack are alike, her dad had always been able to repeat days, and just like Jack he has to make sure to keep every death as it's supposed to be.
Tru makes up her mind to always keep doing what's right and save the persons who ask for her help, she wants to do it for her mom and to stop Jack and her dad.
Pero las cosas no son tan buenas como parecen, Jack sí repite los días pero su deber es hacer que esas muertes ocurran, es lo opuesto a Tru para mantener la vida balanceada, Tru cree que todos merecen una segunda oportunidad y Jack cree que la muerte de cada quien está destinada.
Ambos compiten contra el tiempo y contra ellos para salvar o dejar morir, las cosas no van bien para Tru cuando Jack le quiere enseñar una lección, que por cada persona que ella salva alguien más muere de todos modos para mantener el balance. Ella aprende esto de forma difícil cuando salva a su hermano pero Luc muere, ella desesperada ruega que Luc despierte y le pida ayuda pero eso nunca ocurre, tiene que continuar sin la oportunidad de tratar de salvar a su hermano y a su amor.
Entre más conoce Tru sobre Jack, más secretos encuentra sobre su propia familia, se da cuenta que su padre y Jack son iguales, su padre siempre ha podido repetir los días y tal como Jack el se asegura de mantener cada muerte como debe ser.
Tru se decide a siempre hacer lo correcto y salvar a las personas que piden ayuda, quiere hacerlo por su madre y detener a Jack y a su padre.
Sadly the show wasn't renewed for a complete second season, it's a shame because it left us wanting to witness a final showdown between Tru and Jack.
At first I couldn't help but compare the show with the Final Destination movie, which had the same storyline, someone knows what's going to happen and must save everyone, but in the movies it's well known that it's impossible to escape from death, and in the tv series it's shown that it's possible to save persons if it wasn't their time to die.
It's an entertaining tv show, and having only 26 episodes can be watched in a weekend if you're the kind of person who can sit through a series marathon, or if you're not you can watch it in a week.
It's interesting and even though it's about repeating days it doesn't feel repetitive, and it's fun to get all the clues and find out who's the killer, sometimes you think you know who did it but turns out you were wrong.
Tristemente la serie no fue renovada para una completa segunda temporada, es una pena porque nos dejó queriendo presenciar un encuentro final entre Tru y Jack.
Al inicio no pude evitar comparar la serie con la película de Destino Final, la cual tiene la misma historia, alguien sabe lo que pasará y debe salvar a todos, pero en las películas es bien sabido que es imposible escapar de la muerte, y en la serie se muestra que es posible salvar personas si no era su tiempo de morir.
Es una serie entretenida, y teniendo solo 26 episodios puede ser vista en un fin de semana si eres el tipo de persona que se puede sentar para un maratón de series, o si no lo eres puedes verla en una semana.
Es interesante y aunque trata sobre repetir los días no se siente repetitiva, y es divertido ver todas las pistas y averiguar quien es el asesino, a veces piensas que sabes quien lo hizo y resulta que estabas equivocado.
