For several years I have had a great interest in DC animated films, not only do I consider them pieces of entertainment that manage to be much more consistent in terms of quality than their live-action counterparts, but they are a relatively accessible way of introducing yourself to various of the most prominent stories in this universe.
Examples are not exactly rare, Superman Red Son, The Dark Knight Returns, Batman Year One and Justice League Dark demonstrate DC's ability to create films that adapt stories originally conceived for the comic.
Considering this, was Injustice a success? The short answer is that yes, for those who do not know Injustice it is an alternate reality created for the video game "Injustice: Gods among us", a video game released at the beginning of the last decade where we are shown a version of Evil Superman who was stripped of any trace of goodness.
Directed by Matt Petters and written by Ernie Altbacker, the film that we are reviewing focuses on a comic that was created (By Tom Taylor) as a prequel to said video game, here, we see extensively why Superman decided to change sides and shows us the despertate attempts from a portion of the Justice League to stop him.
Although on the surface Injustice is a gimmicky work where the battles and the spectacle are constant, in deeper terms it is a detailed study of the morals of the characters that make up the Justice League and how they would behave in an extreme situation, it is surprising to see the realism with which the political implications that an event of this nature would have are handled and how entertaining it is throughout the film.
It helps a lot that injustice is such a well animated work, with a style that easily replicates the aesthetics of the comic and that makes the right decisions to generate emotional impact, from its first minutes (Perhaps the most iconic and memorable part of the entire comic ) manages to captivate our attention and surprise us, even if we already know what will happen.
The only point against it is that there is obviously an open ending, which can cut a bit the good momentum that the film had in favor of subsequent sequels, on the contrary, Injustice is a solid and emotional film that brings together everything in itself. On the positive side of DC animated cinema, she feels extremely comfortable within the land that introduces us and has the potential to continue the story with the same quality.

Desde hace varios años he sentido muchísimo interés por las películas animadas de DC, no solo las considero piezas de entretenimiento que logran ser mucho más consistentes en términos de calidad que sus contrapartes live-action, sino que son una forma relativamente accesible de introducirse a varias de las historias más prominentes de este universo.
Los ejemplos no son precisamente escasos, Superman Red Son, The Dark Knight Returns, Batman Year One y Justice League Dark demuestran la capacidad de DC para crear películas que adaptan historias originalmente concebidas para el cómic.
Considerando esto, ¿Injustice fue un éxito? La respuesta corta es que si, para aquellos que desconozcan Injustice se trata de una realidad alterna creada para el videojuego “Injustice: Gods among us”, un juego de video estrenado a principios de la década pasada en donde se nos muestra a una versión de Superman maligna que fue despojada de cualquier rastro de bondad.
Dirigida por Matt Petters y escrita por Ernie Altbacker filme que estamos reseñando se enfoca en un cómic que fue creado (Por Tom Taylor) como precuela a dicho videojuego, allí se exponen de forma extensiva por qué Superman decidió cambiar de bando y nos muestra los intentos desesperados de una porción de la liga de la justicia por detenerlo.
Aunque en la superficie Injustice es una obra efectista en donde las batallas y el espectáculo son constantes, en términos más profundos es un estudio detallado a la moral de los personajes que conforman la liga de justicia y al cómo se comportarían en una situación límite, es sorprendente ver el realismo con el que se manejan las implicaciones políticas que tendría un evento de esta naturaleza y lo entretenido que resulta a lo largo del film.
Colabora mucho que injustice sea una obra tan bien animada, con un estilo que logra replicar con facilidad la estética del cómic y que tome las decisiones correctas para generar impacto emocional, desde sus primeros minutos (Quizá la parte más icónica y memorable de todo el cómic) logra cautivar nuestra atención y sorprendernos, aunque ya sepamos que ocurrirá.
El único punto en contra es que evidentemente hay un final abierto, lo cual puede cercenar un poco el buen momentum que llevaba el film en pro a posteriores secuelas, en todo lo contrario, Injustice es una película sólida y emocional que reúne en ella misma todo lo positivo del cine animado de DC, se siente sumamente cómoda dentro de la tierra que nos introduce y tiene potencial para continuar la historia con la misma calidad.
