When I watched this movie for the first was expecting it to be cheerful and funny as any Disney movie, but in the end it makes feel overwhelmingly sad, especially because I felt identified with many things in Riley's life. I hope the sequel would be as good as this one.

I totally agree with you. It is cheerful at some extent but it's definitely very emotional and it made me cry many times. I also felt identified with Riley.
