Man, reading your post frustrated the hell out of me.

Not because of the post itself but because I hate the witcher show for what it is doing. I didn't even watch it yet and I don't think I will Blood Origins was enough butchering of my favorite universe for my taste.

although the game from my understand add things that were not on the books.

The games never really added things that were not in the book. It's important to realize that the game takes place after the books. The only real thing the games changed was Triss's personality to make her seem more favorable in the games.

The idea of them splitting up happens in the books but not the way you explained it does in the show. Yennifer gets captured by the Lodge and is a hostage right up until the final confrontation.

Ciri gets teleported before Geralt can reach her during the Isle of Thannedd, she is then captured and brought to a tavern where a Rat is also being held. During the breakout the Rats rescue her and she joins them.

Yennifer wasn't running recruiting a bunch of mages in the book. The Lodge was 100% not an attempt at "feminism" in the books. In fact in the books, to be frank, they're sex crazed women who believe they should rule the world and believe that only women deserve power.

As soon as I saw that Fishbourne was casted as Regis I knew that S4 was going to be another disaster!

I apologize it cause this effect on you was never my intention, I made the post from the point of view of someone who is just watching the series as many others who watch it on Netflix, the things I mention about the books compared to the series is mainly things I look up on internet but didnt wanted to go deep to not spoil season 5 for myself. For the most part this series I think are not meant for fans of the books or games, look at Halo it happen the same thing, totally different from the games but imo was entertaining to watch, just borrow names and stories and twisted at will for mainstream, in my case I love cars and it always happens the same to me when they make this stupid F&F type of movies that make no sense or even worst like the F1 Movie 2025 its the worst crap I have seen but looks like everybody loves it, but its all entertainment. They will most likely close The Witcher after season 5 and thats most likely because they already film season 5, I really enjoy Blood Origins but felt it was too short ✌️

Bahaha no need to apoloigze! I just meant that I hate the things they are doing in the show and hate the fact that I'm powerless to change it!

My big gripe with Blood Origins is the butchering of Lore. There's very little known about the conjunction of spheres, but what we did know, they destroyed. Just two examples, the first Witcher wasn't created until around 500 years after the conjunction and Eredin was never gay.

I won't read all of this as I've only just started watching. I'm just struggling to remember all of what went on before and who everyone is.

I'll see how it goes. I've not read the books or played the games.

same as I, never read the books or play the games, you will find it entertaining for the most part

let's not call or unexpectedly bring evil spirits, the spiritual world is always more important than the physical one.

Well, my humble opinion is that season 4 is weirdly the best of all. Scene fights creazy good, Regis Fisbourne classy, Liam is ok, The Ratpack scenes are skippable.

And Leo Bonhart steals the show and deserves his own spin-off.
