Una mujer inocente y dulce puede llegar a convertirse en una persona tóxica, obsesiva y peligrosa si es sometida a constantes humillaciones. Lady Macbeth es la adaptación del cuento ruso con el mismo nombre, inspirada en una obra de Shakespeare, que narra los crÃmenes de una mujer burguesa en la Rusia del siglo XIX.
Esta pelÃcula del género drama, romance y romance oscuro, es protagonizada por Florence Pugh quien es Katherine y su amante Cosmo Jarvis quien es Sebastián. Katherine es una joven que ha sido vendida por su padre a un hombre que le dobla la edad y, aunque no es tan viejo, su intimidad es algo extraña. Ella fue comprada para tenerla en casa como un objeto decorativo y ser observada desnuda en algunas ocasiones mientras su esposo se masturba. Katherine, desde el principio, se siente frustrada y aburrida, la mayorÃa del tiempo está sola y comparte la casa con su suegro, un viejo grosero y pedante.
Toda la pelÃcula está ambientada en la hacienda donde vive Katherine, y se puede ver sobria que es la casa, lujosa, pero antigua y muy frÃa. Como ella es la señora de la casa tiene a su disposición toda la servidumbre, la levantan y visten con esos corsés ajustados que cortaban la respiración y armadores grandes para sus vestidos, en lo personal siempre disfruto de ver estas escenas, y aunque me fascinan los vestidos de época por su belleza y elegancia compadezco a esas mujeres por hacer ese sacrificio que imponÃa la sociedad.
Katherine no era amable, y no la criticó, porque en esas circunstancias es lo menos que podÃa ser. Desde el inicio yo sentà empatÃa con este personaje y tristeza por su vida, luego ella comenzó a hacer cosas un poco arriesgadas y me puso nerviosa. Ella era la señora de la casa, pero también una prisionera que no conocÃa la libertad, a diferencia de los esclavos que disfrutaban de una sexualidad libremente entre ellos, generando algo de envidia y curiosidad en Katherine.

An innocent and sweet woman can become toxic, obsessive, and dangerous if she is subjected to constant humiliation. Lady Macbeth is an adaptation of the Russian story of the same name, inspired by a play by Shakespeare, which recounts the crimes of a bourgeois woman in 19th-century Russia.
This drama, romance and dark romance film stars Florence Pugh as Katherine and her lover Cosmo Jarvis as Sebastian. Katherine is a young woman who has been sold by her father to a man twice her age and, although he is not that old, their intimacy is somewhat strange. She was bought to be kept at home as a decorative object and to be observed naked on occasion while her husband masturbates. From the beginning, Katherine feels frustrated and bored. She spends most of her time alone and shares the house with her father-in-law, a rude and pedantic old man.
The entire film is set in the estate where Katherine lives, and you can see how sober the house is, luxurious but old and very cold. As she is the lady of the house, she has all the servants at her disposal. They wake her up and dress her in those tight corsets that took her breath away and large hoops for her dresses. Personally, I always enjoy watching these scenes, and although I am fascinated by period dresses for their beauty and elegance, I feel sorry for those women for making the sacrifice imposed on them by society.
Katherine was not kind, and she did not criticise her, because in those circumstances, it was the least she could be. From the beginning, I felt empathy for this character and sadness for her life, then she began to do things that were a little risky and made me nervous. She was the lady of the house, but also a prisoner who did not know freedom, unlike the slaves who enjoyed free sexuality among themselves, generating some envy and curiosity in Katherine.
Sebastián era un trabajador de la hacienda un mulato atrevido e impulsivo que comenzó a enamorar a Katherine, ambos tuvieron un romance apasionado, donde ella perdió la cabeza siendo abiertamente infiel a su esposo, sin importarle las consecuencias de sus actos siguió adelante cayendo en una obsesión por su amante, como era de esperar su suegro se enteró y quiso intervenir para solucionar las cosas sin que su hijo se enterara, pero eso le costó la vida, desde este momento podemos ver como la pasión, inmadurez y orgullo hacen de Katherine una mujer sin escrúpulos, que manipula a todos a su antojo, humillando a sus sirvientes y quitando de su camino a cualquiera sin piedad, incluso hasta un niño inocente es vÃctima de todo.
Katherine actuo sin control por sus bajas pasiones, sin discriminar el bien del mal, todo lo que hizo fue para no perder aquello que en su mente creia que era de su propiedad. Su desesperación me lleno de angustia, pensó que sentÃa amor y era una pasion desenfrenada que la llevó a comerter horribles hechos.
Durante toda la pelÃcula estuve en zozobra y siempre estuve del lado de Katherine justificando su comportamiento, de hecho creo que me identifiqué mucho con este personaje, 😆🤠pero el final me rebasó yo no llegarÃa a donde ella llego, pero si creo que muchas mujeres encarnan este personaje.
Lady Macbeth es una pelÃcula con personajes bien desarrollados, su historia esta argumentada en las crisis de sus personajes, las actuaciones fueron magistrales transmitiendo todo los que querian. La recomiendo, es una de las pocas pelÃculas que me gustarÃa repetir en el futuro.

Sebastián was a daring and impulsive mulatto worker on the estate who began to fall in love with Katherine. The two had a passionate affair, in which she lost her head and was openly unfaithful to her husband. Regardless of the consequences of her actions, she continued to pursue her obsession with her lover. As expected, her father-in-law found out and wanted to intervene to fix things without his son knowing. But that cost him his life. From this moment on, we can see how passion, immaturity, and pride make Katherine an unscrupulous woman who manipulates everyone at will, humiliating her servants and mercilessly removing anyone from her path, even an innocent child is a victim of it all.
Katherine acted without control, driven by her base passions, without distinguishing between good and evil. Everything she did was to avoid losing what she believed in her mind to be her property. Her desperation filled me with anguish. She thought she felt love, but it was an unbridled passion that led her to commit horrible acts.
Throughout the film, I was in turmoil and always on Katherine's side, justifying her behaviour. In fact, I think I identified a lot with this character, 😆🤠but the ending overwhelmed me. I would never go as far as she did, but I do believe that many women embody this character.
Lady Macbeth is a film with well-developed characters. Its story is based on the crises of its characters, and the performances were masterful, conveying everything they wanted to. I recommend it. It is one of the few films I would like to see again in the future.

Cuando eres prisionero sea fÃsico o mental, y logras un rayo de luz qué te da esperanzas, puedes llegar a aferrarte de tal forma que si eres de mente débil o muy inmaduro, puedes hacer cosas sin pensarlas.
