A few days ago, I talked about one of the works of a mangaka that I found entertaining despite certain things that I did not like about that series, I could say that they were very minimal aspects, as it complemented it with other positive points, I am referring to the work of the mangaka Kota Hirano and his work and anime Drifters. Since I talk about that particular series created by this mangaka, it is time to talk about one of the main series that I think gave him the reception and reputation, in a way before other workers of the same caliber, a series which was part of my early childhood and could genuinely say that it was one of the first exponents of the gore genre or blood that really caught my attention, the other series would be Gantz but that is another series which perhaps I will give a chance later at the time.
Hellsing is being considered for me, a series of which I have a lot of nostalgia and some affection, because as I mentioned a moment ago was one of the first anime genres I saw with explicit content, aimed at high violence, blood, humor with double meaning and certain references of a sexual nature in a subtle way. With all this and at an age already entering adolescence my taste spread more for this type of genre which I did not know called Seinen, it was much later that Kota Hirano decided to make a reconstruction of the series improving it and decided to use this principle to create Hellsing Ultimate, series which I will talk today and because for me it is better compared to the first Hellsing although I have nostalgia, so let's start.
Hace unos días atrás, hable sobre uno de los trabajos de un mangaka que me pareció entretenido a pesar de ciertas cosas que no me gustaron de esa serie, se podría decir que eran aspectos muy mínimos, ya que lo complementaba con otros puntos positivaos, me refiero al trabajo del mangaka Kota Hirano y su obra y anime Drifters. Ya que hable de esa serie en particular creada por dicho mangaka, viene siendo hora de hablar de una de las principales series que el creo que le dio la recepción y reputación, de cierta forma ante otros trabajadores del mismo calibre, una serie la cual formo parte de mi adelantada infancia y se podría llegar a decir genuinamente que fue una de las primeras exponentes, del genero gore o con sangre que realmente llamo mi atención, la otra serie vendría siendo Gantz pero esa es otra serie de la cual quizás le dé una oportunidad después a su momento.
Hellsing viene siendo considerada para mí, una serie de la cual le tengo mucha nostalgia y cierto cariño, ya que como mencione hace un momento fue uno de los primeros géneros de anime que vi con contenido explicito, dirigido a la alta violencia, sangre, humor con doble sentido y ciertas referencias de índole sexual de manera sutil. Con todo esto y a una edad ya entrando a la adolescencia mi gusto se extendió mas por este tipo de géneros el cual desconocía llamado Seinen, fue mucho después que Kota Hirano decidió hacer una reconstrucción de la serie mejorándola y decidió utilizar este principio para crear Hellsing Ultimate, serie la cual les hablare hoy y porque para mí es mejor en comparación al primer Hellsing aunque le tenga nostalgia, así que vamos a comenzar.

Hellsing is considered as a manga created and illustrated by Kota Hirano, and this has been one of his most receptive works by the public. This manga has a total of 10 volumes, and its first edition was issued for Young King Yours on May 2, 1997 ending in 2008. In 2001, the animation team Gonzo was allowed to adapt it into an anime which had 13 episodes starting on October 10, 2001 and ending on January 16, 2002.
But by the date of 2006 it was decided to adapt the anime to a version called Hellsing Ultimate, which is a much more faithful version of the manga, since the first series of Hellsing in 2001, certainly was faithful to the manga but only until half of it, and then the production studio took another path with the other part of that anime, in this case the opposite happens and the content is more faithful, starting on February 10, 2006 and ending on December 26, 2012. Three animation studios worked for these chapters which would be 10 in total (Satelight ep 1-4) (Madhouse ep 5-7) (Graphinika ep 8-10).
Hellsing viene siendo considerado como un manga creado eh ilustrado por Kota Hirano, y este viene siendo una de sus obras mas receptivas por el público. Dicho manga tiene un total de 10 volúmenes, y su primera edición fue emitida para Young King Yours el 2 de mayo de 1997 finalizando el 2008. En el 2001 se le permitió al equipo de animación Gonzo la adaptación a un anime el cual conto con 13 episodios comenzando el 10 de octubre del 2001 y finalizando el 16 de enero del 2002.
Pero para la fecha del 2006 se decidió adaptar al anime a una versión llamada Hellsing Ultimate, la cual viene siendo una versión mucho mas fiel al manga, ya que la primera serie de Hellsing del 2001, ciertamente fue fiel a dicho manga pero solo hasta la mitad del mismo, ya que después el estudio de producción tomo otro camino con la otra parte de ese anime, en este caso pasa lo contrario y el contenido es más fiel, iniciando el 10 de febrero del 2006 y finalizando el 26 de diciembre del 2012. Tres estudios de animación trabajaron para estos capítulos los cuales serian 10 en total (Satelight ep 1-4) (Madhouse ep 5-7) (Graphinika ep 8-10).
Synopsis / Sinopsis
Hellsing or "the Royal Protestant Knights" is considered an English organization, in charge of the protection and care mainly of the queen or the royal family as well as the whole country, before forces of supernatural characters although the most predominant here would be ghouls and vampires. This organization is under the direction of Sir Integra Hellsing and one of his best workers, which is an immortal vampire named Alucard, as the plot progresses they will realize that there are other types of enemies, especially one belonging to a forgotten past but full of hatred and rage that will try to rise once again to extrapolate their cruelty throughout England.
Hellsing o "los caballeros protestantes reales" viene siendo considerada una organización inglesa, encargada de la protección y cuidado principalmente de la reina o la familia real así como todo el país, ante fuerzas de caracteres sobrenaturales aunque los que predominan mas aquí serian ghouls y vampiros. Dicha organización esta ante la dirección de Sir Integra Hellsing y uno de sus mejores trabajadores, el cual viene siendo un vampiro inmortal llamado Alucard, a medida de que la trama avance estos se darán cuenta de que hay otro tipos de enemigos, en especial uno perteneciente a un pasado olvidado pero llenos de odio y rabia que intentaran levantarse una vez más para extrapolar su crueldad en toda Inglaterra.

I will try as far as possible, not to allow my nostalgia or particular taste with this series to cloud my judgment, since I will try to be as partial and fair as possible, because although I like the series certainly has some points where for me it falters and a proof of those points in comparative aspects that have already been corrected, is reflected in the series that I reviewed a few days ago, that is to say Drifters, since there was a great time difference in which this mangaka worked those singularities presented since he elaborated Hellsing Ultimate, not to present them again in more recent works as it was the case of Drifters, I will talk about that in its moment. Hellsing Ultimate could be said to be the final result that followed to the letter what they wanted to capture from the manga to the anime in comparison to the first Hellsing, which anime was faithful to the manga until half of it and then the production took a different control, here that does not happen, so in terms of line with the manga it is faithful.
A certain manga and anime in this case shows us an interesting vision of what the organization is dedicated to is a very simple concept narratively speaking, it is an organization that is responsible for eliminating and destroying supernatural phenomena or at this point the most prolific being vampires and ghouls, but usually they can also become other creatures that can be considered a threat to the population of England and in this organization is found, the best threat against these creatures which is the iconic character of Alucard under the orders of Integra the leader of the organization, is certainly a simple plot in which as they move forward with the chapters address other nuances linked to a hidden enemy trying to create a war on a much larger scale, and involving two factors by these evil forces being Nazi soldiers with powers say supernatural and certainly interesting characters.
Surprisingly and at first instance to show an environment in which there are monsters and blood and violence or certain scenes and comments with a high sense, the plot takes a course more by the intimidation of the figures or the presence of the same ones, the suspense and the dialogues something excessively long with many approaches, if certainly there are present elements of slaughter and violence but I do not see that it is the most predominant feature, I feel that this comes being more a resource for the narrative of which it is not abused, as the series progresses and climaxes, most of these scenarios take weight and give us a show of violence, but accompanied with an interesting narration and personally very heavy and redundant in several scenarios, making me the impression that the simplicity of the series (which is not a bad thing) shows arrogance.
And I feel that this is the point in which it falters the most, in that and personally I would have really liked to see more weight and background to several characters, I mean I understand why Alucard is like that, but I would have liked to see more of that fragile and weak side of him as well as envy towards human beings, or the butler Walter and his actions or Victoria Alucard's student that although I understand her situation I would have liked to know more about her, I felt something very rushed in general. It's still not a bad series for me because it has positive points linked to the fights, comedy elements (although I didn't like them so much personally because of Kota Hirano's weird humor) and above all the interactions, mainly those of the antagonists, the charisma of some of them and their way of being really catches your attention some more than others but for me the introduction and development of these characters here were more than decent but I do feel that there was a waste of some characters in terms of weight, it's not a bad anime but it's not that good either, just entertaining, very, very entertaining.
Regarding the animation, I have no particular complaints here for its time it really has moments where the animation, and the dynamism as well as the exaggerated color palettes and the focus of the colors on their facial expressions or body postures has an interesting effect and as I mentioned earlier, I feel that this series takes a fixed stance on intimidation as we are talking about subjects that are above average in terms of stature literally are one freaks, both in height and abilities, depending on the facial features and the play that is applied with the animation and colors as well as the effect of this on the blood and violence or environment feels very good visually.
The plot is still a simple element as I mentioned, part of the shortcomings that for me had this series, is certainly improved in other works such as Drifters in which in that work is not abused suspense, or so heavy or redundant dialogues where there is action and simplicity but well directed but still and with all that, fortunately does not end up being something bad is not a perfect work but it is not something I would not recommend, it is very entertaining and regular, the presence and the weight of some ideas and personalities of some characters makes that sometimes it takes certainly interesting turns, but in a very simple way as for example in the exponential and dangerous strength of Alucard, other individuals with interesting powers and abilities and vice versa characters who do not have that but have a very strong charisma and ideals as the major (tremendous character something wasted), the plot twists in some aspects also have their weight. And with this ends today's review, I wanted to give this anime its deserved opportunity, and with this I can at least close a cycle and be calm to give it its deserved opportunity, as always thanks for coming here and until next time.
Tratare en la medida de lo posible, de no permitir que mi nostalgia o gusto particular con esta serie nuble mi juicio, ya que intentare ser lo mas parcial y justo posible, ya que aunque me guste la serie ciertamente tiene algunos puntos en donde para mi flaquea y una prueba de esos puntos en aspectos comparativos de que ya han estado corregidos, se ve reflejado en la serie que reseñe hace unos días atrás, es decir Drifters ya que estuvo de por medio un gran tiempo de diferencia en el cual este mangaka trabajo esas singularidades presentadas desde que elaboro Hellsing Ultimate, para no volver a presentarlas en obras mas recientes como fue el caso de Drifters valga la redundancia, ya hablare sobre eso en su momento. Hellsing Ultimate se podría llegar a decir que es el resultado final que siguió al pie de la letra lo que se quiso plasmar del manga al anime en comparación al primer Hellsing, el cual su anime fue fiel al manga hasta la mitad del mismo y luego la producción tomo un control diferente, aquí no pasa eso, así que en términos de lineamiento con el manga es fiel.
Cierto manga y anime en este caso nos muestra una visión interesante a lo que se dedica la organización es un concepto muy pero muy simple narrativamente hablando, es una organización que se encarga de eliminar y destruir fenómenos sobrenaturales o en este punto los que más proliferan siendo vampiros y ghouls, pero por lo general también pueden llegar a ser otras criaturas que puedan llegar a considerarse una amenaza para la población de Inglaterra y en dicha organización se encuentra, la mejor amenaza contra esas criaturas el cual viene siendo el icónico personaje de Alucard bajo las ordenes de Integra la líder de dicha organización, es una trama ciertamente simple en la cual a medida de que se avanzan con los capítulos abordan otros matices vinculados a un enemigo oculto que intenta crear una guerra a una escala mucho mayor, y que involucran dos factores por parte de estas fuerzas malignas siendo soldados nazis con poderes digamos sobrenaturales y personajes ciertamente interesantes.
Sorpresivamente y a primera instancia al mostrar un ambiente en el cual estén monstruos y sangre y violencia o ciertas escenas y comentarios con un alto sentido, la trama toma un rumbo mas por la intimidación de las figuras o la presencia de las mismas, el suspenso y los diálogos algo excesivamente largos con muchos enfoques, si ciertamente hay presente elementos de matanza y violencia pero no veo que sea el rasgo más predominante, siento que esto viene siendo más un recurso para la narrativa del cual no se abusa, si no que se muestra para mostrar poderío o las capacidades de algunos personajes, a medida de que avanza la serie y se lleva al clímax gran parte de estos escenarios toman peso y nos brindan eso un espectáculo de violencia, pero acompañado con una narración interesante y en lo personal muy pesada y redundante en varios escenarios, haciéndome dar la impresión que la simplicidad de la serie (lo cual no es algo malo) demuestre arrogancia.
Y siento que ese es el punto en el cual mas flaquea, en eso y que en lo personal realmente me hubiera gustado mucho que se le diera más peso y trasfondo a varios personajes, es decir entiendo porque Alucard es así, pero me hubiera gustado ver más de ese lado frágil y débil de el así como de envidia hacia los seres humanas, o del mayordomo Walter y sus acciones o de Victoria la estudiante de Alucard que a pesar de que entiendo su situación me hubiera gustado saber más de ella, lo sentí algo muy apresurado en general. Sigue siendo para mí no una mala serie porque si tiene puntos positivos ligados a los combates, elementos de comedia (aunque no me gustaron tanto en lo personal por el humor raro de Kota Hirano) y sobre todo las interacciones principalmente la de los antagonistas, el carisma de algunos y su forma de ser realmente te llama mucho la atención unos más que otros pero para mí la introducción y desarrollo de estos personajes acá estuvieron más que descentres pero si siento que hubo un desperdicio de algunos personajes en términos de peso, no es un mal anime pero tampoco es tan bueno, solo entretenido muy pero muy entretenido.
Con relación a la animación, no tengo ninguna queja en particular aquí para su época realmente tiene momentos en los cuales la animación, y el dinamismo así como las exageradas paletas de colores y el enfoque del mismos en sus expresiones faciales o posturas corporales tenga un efecto interesante y como mencione anteriormente, siento que esta serie toma una postura fija en la intimidación ya que estamos hablando de sujetos que están por encima de la media en términos de estatura literalmente son uno monstruos, tanto en altura como en habilidades, dependiendo de las facciones y el juego que se aplica con la animación y colores así como el efecto de esto en la sangre y la violencia o el ambiente se siente muy bien visualmente.
La trama sigue siendo un elemento simple como ya mencione, parte de las carencias que para mi tenia esta serie, se ve ciertamente mejorada en otros trabajos como Drifters en el cual en dicha obra no se abusa del suspenso, ni de diálogos tan pesados o redundantes donde hay acción y simplicidad pero bien dirigida pero aun así y con todo eso, afortunadamente no termina siendo algo malo no es un trabajo perfecto pero tampoco es algo que no recomendaría, es muy entretenida y regular, la presencia y el peso de algunas ideas y personalidades de algunos personajes hace que a veces tome giros ciertamente interesantes, pero de una forma muy simple como por ejemplo en la exponencial y peligrosa fuerza de Alucard, otros individuos con poderes y habilidades interesantísimas y viceversa personajes que no poseen eso pero tiene un carisma eh ideales muy fuerte como el mayor (tremendo personaje algo desperdiciado), los giros de trama en algunos aspectos hacen que también tengan su peso. Y con esto termina la reseña del día de hoy, tenía ganas de darle su merecida oportunidad a este anime la verdad, y con esto ya puedo al menos cerrar un ciclo y estar tranquilo de darle su merecida oportunidad, como siempre gracias por llegar hasta aquí y hasta la próxima.
Veo que te gusta este estilo de animación y trama con mucha oscuridad, aunque haces una ligera comparación sobre tu reseña anterior inclinándote más por Drifters, parece algo interesante. Quizás en mi caso comenzaría por revisar primero Drifters.

Mas haya de eso, lo que ocurre en si es que estoy haciendo reviews, de series animadas o pelis en un futuro cercano o lejano, que no pude abordar un tiempo atras y bueno a pesar de que me adapto a la mayoria de los generos, quizas se puede ver mas una cosa que otra en terminos de contenido algo mas suave o sangriento o reflexivo entre otras cosas, gracias por pasarte por aca y saludos.
