How to forget that first season, a Michael Scot with his shirt buttoned up to the neck imitating David Brent from The Office UK, a Jim with long hair, a Ryan before going through many phases, that catchy intro, it was in this season where I fell in love with this series, where I realized that my favorite genre was comedy, without the need for fake laughs or forced moments it managed to get a smile or a laugh out of me.
Como olvidar esa primera temporada, a un Michael Scot con la camisa abotonada hasta el cuello imitando a David Brent de The Office UK, a un Jim con el pelo largo, a un Ryan antes de pasar por muchas fases, esa intro pegajosa, fue en esta temporada donde me enamoré de esta serie, donde me di cuenta que mi genero favorito era comedia, sin necesidad de risas falsas o momentos forzados lograba sacarme una sonrisa o una carcajada.
Sometimes I rewatch scenes on YouTube, and no matter how many times I've seen them that formula is always going to work , that formula of making you laugh based on awkward and absurd moments, all the jokes of Jim towards Dwight and vice versa become an important part of the series, all the moments of Andy singing become an important part of the series, all the "that was she said" of Michael become an important part of the series, it is all the elements that make up this series that make it unique, each character has its own essence despite the fact that they are dedicated to the same thing, selling paper.
A veces veo de nuevo escenas en YouTube, y no importa cuantas veces las haya visto esa fórmula siempre va a funcionar , esa fórmula de hacer reír basada en momentos incómodos y absurdos, todas las bromas de Jim hacia Dwight y viceversa se convierten en una parte importante de la serie, todos los momentos de Andy cantando se convierten en una parte importante de la serie, todos los “that was she said” de Michael se convierten en una parte importante de la serie, son todos los elementos que componen esta serie los que la hacen única, cada personaje tiene su propia esencia a pesar de que se dedican a lo mismo, vender papel.

The Office USA (2005), es una adaptación de The Office UK(2001), cuya trama va de lo mismo, un (falso) documental sobre la vida de los trabajadores de una oficina de vendedores de papel (sí, de ahí viene el nombre), The Office USA está ambientada en una oficina de Scranton, Pensilvania que se dedica a la venta de papel, la serie es lo que se conoce como un ”Mockumentary, un falso documental, entre los actores que lo conforman podemos encontrar comediantes como Steve Carell, Craig Robinson y otros.
Oh, you haven't seen The Office? Well let me introduce you a little bit. The Office USA (2005), is an adaptation of The Office UK(2001), whose plot is about the same thing, a (fake)documentary about the lives of workers in an office of paper sellers (yes, that's where the name comes from), The Office USA is set in a office in Scranton, Pennsylvania that is dedicated to the sale of paper, the series is what is known as a "Mockumentary, a mockumentary, among the actors that make it up we can find comedians like Steve Carell, Craig Robinson and others.
Each character in The Office is so unique, with its own essence, without attitudes or actions as exaggerated as in other series (I'm not saying they are bad), and that manages to make us feel so identified with them which in turn generates a connection with the viewer, I have seen some people say it is boring and I understand them perfectly, it is a documentary about employees of a paper sales office, it is hard to believe that there is something interesting there. But that absurd humor, those awkward moments are what makes this series great, every meeting in the conference room is unique and with a standout moment, as in every series we also learn about the characters life outside the office, Jim and how he falls in love with Pam and how he tries to deal with it even when he gets into a relationship, Dwight and his farm, Ryan and his attempt to create an App, etc.
Cada personaje de The Office es tan único, con su propia esencia, sin actitudes o acciones tan exageradas como en otras series (no estoy diciendo que sean malas), y eso logra que nos sintamos tan identificados con ellos lo que a su vez genera una conexión con el espectador, he visto a algunas personas decir que es aburrida y los entiendo perfectamente, es un documental sobre empleados de una oficina de venta de papel, es difícil creer que haya algo interesante ahí. Pero ese humor tan absurdo, esos momentos incómodos son los que hace grandiosa esta serie, cada reunión en la sala de conferencias es única y con un momento destacable, como en toda serie también conocemos sobre la vida de los personajes fuera de la oficina, Jim y el como se enamora de Pam y como trata de lidiar con ello incluso cuando entra en una relación, Dwight y su granja, Ryan y su intento de crear una App, etc.
But to be honest (massive spoiler alert) when Michael leaves the office, the series lost a bit of its fun, it's still good, but I think it was better before, something I found amazing was the fact that when Pam arrives at the airport (because he wasn't in the office when Michael left) to say goodbye to Michael we can't hear what they say because Michael previously takes off his microphone, and I think it's a brilliant moment because even though for us it's one of the best moments of the series, we'll never know what they say, it's their moment of privacy, even though I would have liked what they say, I think it's much better this way.
Pero para ser sinceros (alerta de spoiler masivo) cuando Michael deja la oficina, la serie perdió un poco la gracia, no deja de ser buena, pero pienso que antes era mejor, algo que me pareció increíble fue el hecho de que cuando Pam llega al aeropuerto (porque no se encontraba en la oficina cuando Michael se fue) a despedirse de Michael no podemos escuchar lo que dicen porque Michael previamente se quita el micrófono, y me parece un momento brillante porque a pesar de que para nosotros es uno de los mejores momentos de la serie, nunca sabremos lo que dicen, es su momento de privacidad, a pesar de que me hubiese gustado lo que dicen, creo que está mucho mejor así.
The Office es ese tipo de series que puedes ver sin importar el como te sientas, es una serie de humor tan relajante funciona en cualquier situación, funcionó conmigo, y creo que funcionará contigo, simplemente la mejor serie de comedia que he visto, esto no es una review, esto es una carta de amor.
The Office is that kind of series that you can watch no matter how you feel, it's such a relaxing humor series it works in any situation, it worked with me, and I think it will work with you, simply the best comedy series I've ever seen, this is not a review, this is a love letter.

Me alegra ver a alguien hablar de the office en esta comunidad, es mi comedia favorita, puedo ver los capítulos en loop infinito.
Existen muchos episodios que son obras de arte totales en el género de la comedia, Dinner Party es un excelente ejemplo (Cuando Michael hace de anfrition de una cena en su casa junto con Jan)
