There's some insightful commentary here, and a good variety of solid movie recommendations... I haven't seen a few of them. My favourite movie genre-- if I'm forced to choose one-- would be the redemptive intellectual drama. Examples are films like The Big Short, A Beautiful Mind and Good Will Hunting (which is the subject of the inaugural #CineTV discussion prompt). It's funny though: my absolute faves are outside of this category-- Cool Hand Luke, The Usual Suspects and others.

Will Good Hunting, is one of my favorite movies and I watch it every time it is broadcasted on TV, it is notorious that Afleck and Damon wrote a script full of realities, accompanied by Williams who made the performances even more real, it is a very opposite genre to what I suggested and I still appreciate it.
