RE: Bus Boys (film): Extremely stupid, but it has its purpose

I mainly remember Theo from watching him on Road Rules on MTV before he was a comic. My younger brother loves Theo podcast and has followed him for years. I went with him to see in theater months back when it opened. I like David Spade and appreciate corny low budget comedy but I didn’t think it was great. I’ll say ok.

I will say , the plot has much truth to it! I was a waiter at 20 years old and there was indeed a drama vibe and definitely some truth to this story 100%. I can tell some wild stories 👀 . Let’s just say it was a fun summer when I was a waiter at a mid level restaurant.

I think it is one of those sleeper cult classics potentially. Just watched a few of the scenes especially the one where Nathan Diaz and the other guy are just harassing people in the parking lot for no apparent reason. It's the little things like this that really float my boat. I remember the first time I saw Anchorman I thought it was a dud but after a few rewatches I realize that this was just such an iconic thing they made. Is any film quoted more than Anchorman?

The one thing they missed about restaurant culture is how everyone is sleeping with everyone there. That was my experience with working at restaurants.
