He got himself arrested and went into the prison to meet his brother who is already sentenced to death in a few days.

just like the American days of the dug dealers, I do like the way people are framed perfectly to be the criminal even when they are as clean as crystals and same is what happens to Lincoln ( Scofield brother).
CCTV footage proves he was the killer, DNA sample proved the same thing.
there's no lawyer that could convince any judge he didn't do it. Those who framed him are experts and truly I did commend them.
The movie won't make so much sense without having a glimpse of who Lincoln his.
The lady at the corner is the woman who made everything happen.
If you would watch the movie, you will understand how far women can go to have a man for themselves.
She did catch feelings for Scofield who has a plan to escape the prison.
The love she had cost her some weeks in jail, her license as a doctor and a broke heart though amended later on but all the same she was a victim to love.
Lincoln on the other hand is a fighter, doesn't think smart like Scofield. I would call him a dog that doesn't know more than obeying orders. He can't possibly think himself.
His fighting spirit is all that the movie needs from him.
Scofield has the brains while Lincoln has the hand. It was a mixture of a brain to think and a hand to fight.
Did they escape the prison all alone?
No ! Who pulls up a prison break all alone?
He had help and these help really are a mixture of the good and bad.
Should you see the movie? Yes, give it a try. The major blow of the movie all happened in the prison. The malic, the negotiation, the partnership, the love stories, the killings, the hiding and many other things happened which made the film easier and more engaging to watch and understand.
