Como están mis queridos lectores y amantes del cine, el día de hoy damos un inicio formal al “Camino A Los Oscars”, para iniciar las reseñas de las distintas películas que participan en esta gala de premios, comenzaremos con una de las que mas nominaciones posee, y que debido a ello marcan el camino como una de las favoritas de este año para la crítica, “Belfast” es una de las películas que siéndoles sincero no me llamo la atención, incluso abrió esta sección del canal debido que en teoría iremos de menor mayor, pero resulto ser de las mas aclamadas por la critica y de las cuales tiene mas voto a convertirse en la gran ganadora de este año, junto al “ El Poder Del Perro”. Belfast es un relato intimo de su director Kenneth Branagh, el galardonado director nos muestra a través de la pantalla, como fue su dura infancia durante la peor época en su Belfast natal, que durante los años 60s sufrió una serie de conflictos tantos políticos como religiosos, que derivo a una guerra civil entre hermanos de un mismo país, los conflictos y como principalmente lo dicta la película va por la creencia religiosa, en la cual enfrentaba a los católicos en contra a la iglesia protestante, conflictos visto a raíz de la perspectiva de nuestro protagonista Buddy, que a través de sus ojos vemos este conflicto, como lidia con su vida personal, y sus relaciones con sus seres queridos, sus padres protagonizados por “Jamie Dornan” como El padre y “Caitríona Balfe” como la madre, a su vez se completa el elenco protagónico con mis favoritos en esta cinta Judi Dench y Ciarán Hinds como los abuelos de Buddy, mostrando una de las películas mas hermosa que he visto este año, y en la cual se respira mucho la inspiración que tiene Roma en esta cinta.

Belfast es de esas películas que a pesar de poseer una primicia bastante difícil como lo es una guerra civil y conflictos religiosos, a pesar de esto intenta verle el lado positivo a esa realidad, la historia va más en camino a mostrarnos los problemas que sufre nuestro protagonista como un niño de clase media baja en la Belfast de los años 60s, el director quiere que sientas empatía de buddy “Un personaje que lo refleja a él en su infancia” , un niño muy animado y querido dentro de las calles de su comunidad, el cual quiere vivir una vida normal como bien se pueda, durante toda la película nos muestra los distintos problemas que existe alrededor de buddy mostrándolo siempre con un plano en donde se resalta mas la perspectiva del niño, problemas de sus padres con el tema monetario y las deudas, el conflicto armado que si bien pasa muy a segundo plano durante pasajes de la cinta, funciona en par de ocasiones, una para forjar la personalidad de nuestro protagonista y otra para crear momentos dramáticos en ciertas oportunidades; Y por último la increíble relación que tiene con sus abuelos, partes que son de mis favorita en la película.

A estos temas principales, se le añade y ya al final de la película un mensaje para aquellas personas que sienten sus raíces, sin contar muchos spoilers sobre la trama de la cinta, nos da también un mensaje que va muy de lleno a la diáspora de extranjeros que, debido a problemas varios, se ven en la obligación de encontrar un nuevo hogar, un lugar en donde la paz y la tranquilidad van de la mano y sirven para mejorar nuestro futuro, estos problemas que muchos de algunos venezolanos seguimos sufriendo actualmente. Ahora hablare de las dos cosas que mas destaco de esta película, primeramente, la relación que tiene nuestro protagonista con sus abuelos, más en general la actuación de Judi Dench y Ciarán Hinds, pese a que solo salgan 10 minutos a lo largo de la película y en distintos cortes, estos son suficientes para alegrarnos con sus ocurrencias y diálogos, Judi con esa actitud de abuela posesiva, regia pero a su vez muy comprensiva y Ciaran con la actuación del abuelo bastante sabio, querido y animado, que con cada dialogo te da mucho en que pensar y te permite encariñarte en segundos de haberlo conocido, debo admitir que cada escena con la presentación de ambos son las favorita y mejores de la cinta.

Por último, destaco el apartado cinematográfico, como se nota la increíble mano de Branagh. en cada uno de los planos en la cinta demuestra lo perfecto que puede ser la muestra al detalle, como juegan con los colores dentro de la cinta, ya que cabe a destacar que esta película esta rodada en blanco y negro, para darle mas el peso de film de antaño, los colores se ven reflejado en la cinta cuando nuestro protagonista ve una de las cosas que mas le apasiona, al ver una película, la cinta juega con los colores para las películas y mantiene a la original en blanco y negro, no solo eso si no también los pequeños detalles, como cuando buddy lee una de las historietas de Thor, un guiño a que el director perteneció al MCU, dirigiendo la primera cinta de nuestro dios del trueno.

Para finalizar, la película si bien es muy hermosa estéticamente, y su historia es muy bonita y sin mucho contratiempo, esta no quiere arriesgarse mas en indagar mas en la parte cruda de la guerra y los problemas de esta sociedad, si no que más bien muestra a detalle lo más puro y sencillo de la vida del director, un relato inocente de lo que son los problemas de crecer y lo difícil que puede ser la vida desde su perspectiva más tranquila, pero que con tan poco nos muestra lo necesario para ser feliz, si bien espere una película más dramática, mas al estilo “Roma” y por la cual por eso me gusto más, esto no quita que la cinta logra su cometido de cautivar al espectador y mantenerlo sentado a la pantalla para observar la vida de nuestro protagonista; Por mi parte ha sido todo espero que les haya gustado, y seguiremos con mas de este camino al Oscar.

A mí me gustó Belfast, es un buen film y sí, estoy muy de acuerdo que no es la mejor, mi crítica va que es fantasiosa en varios aspectos, más que nada a las dificultades que tiene el padre para solventar los problemas por los conflictos que suceden en esta película, pero también sé que está historia es contada desde el punto de vista de un niño y tal vez desde su inocencia y miedo deba contar una solución rápida y como dije fantasiosa a esas escenas en específico.
Las escenas con los abuelos son las mejores y para mí la nominación de cada uno de estos grandes actores está más que justificada; este film me gustó porque es imposible no relacionar con las situaciones que viven muchas familias que deciden abandonar su lugar de origen en búsqueda de una vida mejor, un gran sacrificio que algunas veces no es reconocido.
Es que claro, la critica va por el hecho de que pudo ser más cruel y que su mensaje hubiese transcendido mucho más, pero es más la visión de un niño y como vivió su infancia al lado de sus seres queridos, así que sin duda no es para nada malo, y lo más seguro es que los abuelos ganen en sus nominaciones, hasta por lo que he visto xD. Un film muy personal , autobiografico de los recuerdos del director cuando era un niño en esos tiempos difíciles que le toco vivir. es una película bonita, bien hecha y que merece estar en la competencia.
Si duda que si, no por algo es de las que más nominaciones tiene en esta temporada de premios.
