A film or series related to Gastronomy is always well received by me, it is a topic that I am very passionate about and about which I have learned a lot through different platforms, because personally I have never had the opportunity to be in a restaurant kitchen, The closest I have been has been in courses or workshops I have taken.
I got this series called "Pressure Cooking" and I was so hooked that I finished it in two days, and that's because I have obligations to attend to, because I really wanted to finish it in one day. In this publication I tell you what it is and how it has its own personality.
Una película o serie relacionada con la Gastronomía siempre es bien recibida por mí, es un tema que me apasiona mucho y del cual he aprendido mucho a través de las diferentes plataformas, porque personalmente nunca he tenido la oportunidad de estar en una cocina de restaurant, lo más cerca que he estado ha sido en cursos o talleres que he realizado.
He conseguido esta serie llamada "Cocina a Presión" y me he enganchado de tal forma que la terminé en dos días, y eso porque tengo obligaciones que atender, porque de verdad que tenía ganas de terminarla en un día. En esta publicación te cuento de que se trata y cómo es que tiene personalidad propia.

Son 8 capítulos de 44 minutos a 57 minutos cada uno, titulados así:

These are 11 Chefs who are in competition so that one of them can be the winner of a prize of 100,000 dollars. From the first episode we can learn about each person's personality, where they are from, something about their lives, professional training and personal style.
The 11 kitchen professionals are of different ages and were educated in different ways, most of them own restaurants and know how to handle themselves under pressure. So, the spectacle that we see in other competitions of seeing inexperienced participants who do not know how to solve situations, we do not see in this series, I really liked this point.

Los 11 profesionales de la cocina tienen diferentes edades y se educaron de diferentes maneras, la mayoría tiene restaurantes y saben manejarse bajo presión. De manera que, el show que vemos en otras competencias de ver a participantes inexpertos que no saben resolver situaciones, no lo vemos en esta serie, este punto me gustó muchísimo.
They all live in the same house
During the competition, the 11 chefs will live in the same house, maintaining schedules for cooking and sleeping. The program is not oriented towards the problems of coexistence, although obviously we do see something of them, but it is not like other programs where they give relevance to the personal problems that arise from coexistence. The program focuses quite well on competition and letting us know the performance of each chef.

This aspect of the series is quite interesting and surprised me a lot, since it is mainly they themselves who must evaluate the work or dish of their colleagues. They do this blindly in the sense that they do not know whose dish it is, but they will evaluate it. through their tasting and notes regarding it, which they leave in a book, just as specialists do.
Eventually, they have special guests to carry out the work that I just described above, but mainly they do this themselves and according to the instructions that they receive from the Tickera.
Bastante interesante este aspecto de la serie que me sorprendió mucho, ya que principalmente son ellos mismos quienes deben evaluar el trabajo o plato de sus compañeros, esto lo hacen a ciegas en el sentido de que no saben de quien es el plato, pero lo evaluaran a través de su degustación y notas a respecto, que dejan en un libro, tal como hacen los especialistas.
Eventualmente, tienen invitados especiales para realizar la labor que les acabo de describir anteriormente, pero principalmente esto lo hacen ellos mismos y de acuerdo a las instrucciones que les llega desde la Tickera.

Challenges of each competition
La Tickera explains to them what each challenge will be like, sometimes it is in teams, other challenges are individual, and it is quite interesting how they understand that they must learn to form alliances in order to have more options to reach the final.
The challenges are quite demanding in terms of the time they have to complete the preparation of the meals and the plating. The participants are very professional and resolve each situation, although of course they have problems complying, mainly due to the issue of time.
La Tickera les explica como será cada reto, a veces es en equipos, otros retos son individuales, y es bastante interesante como ellos van entendiendo que deben aprender a formar alianzas para poder tener más opciones de llegar a la final.
Los retos son bastantes exigentes en cuanto a tiempo que disponen para cumplir con la elaboración de las comidas y el emplatado. Los participantes son muy profesionales y resuelven cada situación, a pesar de que por supuestos tienen problemas para cumplir, principalmente por el tema del tiempo.

I liked all the points I pointed out above, because they make "Pressure Cooking" have its own personality that stands out from other competitions or reality shows.
I really enjoyed that they did not use personal problems to draw attention, and although there are certainly certain problems between them, this does not overcome the competition itself, but rather the kitchen and the chefs are the protagonists. Disfruté mucho que no utilizaron los problemas personales, para llamar la atención, y es que aunque ciertamente sí hay ciertos problemas entre ellos, esto no supera a la propia competencia, sino que la cocina y los chefs son los protagonistas. Los problemas realmente nos trae una enseñanza o reflexión, así que disfruté muchísimo los capítulos.

I would have really liked to see how the winner achieves his initial goal with the $100,000 prize, but the series ends with the last challenge between the two finalists.
I think I do have my cheesy touch after all, but I would have really liked to see how they managed to invest in their restaurant, or expand it, or improve it, etc. which led the competing chef to participate. But I think I'm just complaining for the sake of complaining, because this series was really too good.
Me hubiese gustado mucho ver cómo el ganador logra su propósito inicial con el premio de los 100.000 dólares, pero la serie termina con el último reto entre los dos finalistas.
Creo que después de todo si tengo mi toque cursi, pero me hubiese gustado mucho ver cómo lograban invertir en su restaurant, o ampliarlo, o mejorarlo, etc. lo que llevó al chef concursante a participar. Pero creo que solo me quejo por quejarme, porque realmente estuvo demasiado buena esta serie.
