Eternal anxiety

With broken nails
bitten lips:
the anguish was crouched
in useless waiting.

It's not possible...
The moment is moving away and getting closer.
The fragile memory does not insist.
Faith apologizes
and resignation settles.

I do not understand.
Read the message again,
yes, it was a day like today, the meeting.

Some typed letters
they still stain the paper yellow.
The ragged shores
frame the gray shadows
of some lost tears.

I never made it to the appointment
but faithful anxiety
he got used to his chest.
Look and ask
if you didn't forget the time,
if you didn't confuse the place,
if you haven't wasted time,
waiting,
waiting.

Ansiedad Eterna

Con las uñas rotas,
los labios mordidos:
la angustia quedó agazapada
en la espera inútil.

No es posible...
El momento se aleja y se acerca.
La frágil memoria no insiste.
La fe se disculpa
y la resignación se asienta.

No lo entiende.
Vuelve a leer el mensaje,
sí, era un día como el de hoy, el encuentro.

Unas letras mecanografiadas
aún tiñen el papel amarillo.
Las orillas raídas
enmarcan las sombras grises
de unas lágrimas perdidas.

Nunca llegó a la cita,
pero la ansiedad fiel
se acostumbró a su pecho.
Se asoma y le pregunta
si no olvidó la hora,
si no confundió el lugar,
si no habrá perdido el tiempo,
esperando,
esperando.
