Wow, what a great article! Yes, we live in exciting times. AEW’s approach to working with other promotions is great crossover. I’ve enjoyed it so far.

It is rather interesting how they are developing as a company and their approach to other promotions. For those old enough to remember, when Vince McMahon took over the WWWF, and dropped the third W, he was willing to work with others as well. He even carried the company out of the NWA a few years after taking over but still worked with other companies as he grew his brand.

I see a lot of that in what is going on with AEW right now.

They are developing their brand by working with other brands, slowly culling the better talent as they go.

Now, if it turns out the same as WWE did or not is another story. Partly because WWE did not have competition on national television, was coming up during a time that TV stations were clamoring for wrestling content (any content really), and Vince was there to provide it on a consistent basis.

A lot of that is no longer in play so many variables are completely different, or simply gone, now.

I want to see wrestling companies survive and grow. Competition makes everyone better, or they die and wither away leaving room for others to pick up the slack and continue.
