🚩 STEP- 0 => Before starting

  • Configure your profile page especially for your image (avatar) and informations
  • See the other introductory pages
  • Consult the rules of publication and formatting

🚩 STEP-1 => The title of your page

  • Catching Attention: (attract the readers)
  • Differentiates from others: (avoid titles like my introductory page, put a personal touch on it)
  • Preferably short: easier to read
  • ** Can indicate your presentation languages **: for multilingual pages (by adding to the title either #FR or #ESP or that of the languages used ...)

🚩 STEP- 2 => Communities and hashtags

  • You have the right to 10 hashtags
1 for the community where you post your page + 9 to better disseminate your contents
  • Choose a community where this page will be referenced (this will be your 1st Hashtag)
  • Some newbies use one of the specific communities for the introductory pages, examples for the Introduce Yourself communities:

Introduce Yourself - example 1
Introduce Yourself - example 2
Introduce Yourself - example 3

  • Others directly use the community that will match their affinities, passions or goals, for example:

#hive-120586 (for Food), #hive-148441 (for GEMS), #laruche (for French speakers), #hive-121566 (for German speakers), #hive-167922 (for fiance (leofiance)), #hive-163772 (for Haveyoubeenhere), #hive-193084 (for D.Buzz), #hive-150329 (for proof of brain), #hive-132410 (for writing club), #hive-101690 (for sport) , #hive-155221 (for We Are Alive Tribe)

  • Choose 9 other hashtags that will allow your page to be referenced

Examples of introductory pages via some widely used hashtags:

#introduceyourself / #introducemyself / #myhiveintro / #introduction / #introduce / #presentmyself / #lifestyle / #newbie / #newhivers / #my /

My advice choose no more than 7 popular hashtags and add at least 3 specific hashtags to your passions

example of tags for education passion:
hive-184127, hive-181450, introducemyself, hive-109667, introduceyourself, presentmyself, hive-111069, ocd, palnet, education
example of tags for designer and photography passion:
hive-184127, hive-181450, introducemyself, hive-109667, introduceyourself, presentmyself, hive-111069, artist, photography, graphicdesign

🚩 STEP- 3 => Content of the page
=> You have three main types of intro pages:

  • Non-anonymous type: where a lot of personal information is published (these are usually the ones that are best voted)
  • Anonymous type: where very little personal information is disseminated (it can very well be voted on if the author argues well for his contribution to the community)
  • Other type: which may or may not be anonymous or correspond to another standard
=> Images and videos: use personal or royalty-free images, photos or videos. In all cases you must specify their sources

=> Enrich and deepening of the contents
Here are some questions that will allow you to enrich your presentation page:
Who are you (your name, first name (does it have a meaning an origin)? / Who introduced you or advised you among the members of the Hive community? / Are you a old user or a new member? / Speaking languages? / Your country or city? / Your job or your professional or family occupations? / Your social or associative occupations? / Your socio-professional background? / Your hobbies, passions, what you like or dislike? / What will your objectives or contributions for Hive communities?

=> There are several other types of tips that you can find in different communities or in consulting posts via specific hashtags, that we will frequently update : #Hive-Booster / #Hashtag-Booster / #Wikihive ( future wiki for Hive).

🚩 STEP- 4 => Boost your intro page
=> How to encourage reading of your page

  • For example, it is possible to call on curators directly by indicating their pseudo (user name) (@traciyork or @lovesniper or @hive-booster, ...)
  • By subscribing to communities
  • By using hashtags specific to your content, and / or in relation to communities and / or specific to certain curators or contests (Challenge) or tokens.

Thoses points will be explained through our publications and in interaction with the various members.

=> How to showing importance to those who leave you comments or votes
You just have to answer them or thank them for their comments.
