Thinking about the current bull market/super cycle for crypto today, I was having all sort of flashbacks from December 2017 - January 2018. Those two months were indeed wild... Oh man.
I still remember that in mid November XLM was valued at less than three cents and two months later it peaked at three cents shy of $0.9... The value it had on November 12 was the gap between its peak price and $0.9... That's like more than 30x spike in such a short time.
Can you imagine 30x from here, or whatever we will hive, in half a month from now, across the board?
HIVE at $22, ETH at $126,000 and LEO valued at around $8... Hard to say if ETH for example would score a 30x, as $126,000 for one ETH would be insane and somehow close to Bitcoin's price, presuming that BTC won't 30x, but some low cap altcoins might get to such insane levels... IF HISTORY WILL REPEAT ITSELF.
I honestly don't know what to say regarding this bull market, if it will replicate the past ones, crowned with a mega giga blow off top or we're simply gonna have a steady rise in prices for the next decade or so, as some including myself, start believing in this super cycle theory.
Considering the current total market capitalization, and comparing it with the one from 2017, we're gonna need some good trillions poured into the market to be able to score them 30x spikes. There are analysts claiming that we have high chances of repeating the history of past crypto bull markets, in the near future, but my gut feeling tells me we're playing on a different field now...
Bitcoin has a different status, altcoins projects are churning based on fundamentals and there's much more going on in crypto than it was in 2013 or 2017. We have DeFi, where's plenty of coins locked, NFTs that are soaking a lot of capital and it's hard to predict anything based on past performance.
I wouldn't mind a 20x-30x on my portfolio, but I doubt we will still have that volatility this year and entering into the next one. I honestly don't even wish for it. I'd rather see the market growing steadily, with no more brutal bear markets following the peak, than to get into that madness typical to 2017.
It's not on me to decide that though, just throwing around some ideas. What do you guys think though, are we getting those parabolic rises like in 2017 this season to?
Thanks for attention,
Adrian

Nothing is impossible in the crypto world and I think this is what could happen in the future, but it will be the decisive factor in the strength of Hodl that we have so that we can keep the currencies for those stages

If ETH has a supercycle of x30, then we will see the most expensive rates in blockchain history, imagine, transferring $100 in ETH will cost in gas rates maybe $500 or $1500.

I doubt ETH can still 30x.
