I do the same, usually after I hit "post" I remember a great community my content would have bee welcome in.

If it's important, you can still edit your post and add/remove/edit tags as you wish. Except for the first one (the primary tag).

I thought that edited tags didnt make it on the front end.

Regarding tribe tags, I generally use the same ones as well, with a few variations, based on what the post is about. But I try to keep the first 4 tags kind of relevant for the topic.
